Day 2/3 of my cleanse and to be honest, it’s going great!! 🙌🏻 I haven’t felt hungry or tired or craved any of the normal foods I usually want when I want to cheat and I have one more meal (dinner and a vanilla shake) and then it’s my last day! Slowly but surely we are switching the products we use for safe, clean, plant based options and ditching the toxins, carcinogens and hormone disrupters! It didn’t happen overnight, it’s been a process. Don’t feel like you have to fix it all in a day. Cheese, beans, avocado or herbs for toppings
1. Preheat oven to broil or highest heat
2. Sauté sliced veggies in ghee or butter in a cast iron skillet over med low heat 
3. Scramble eggs and add to skillet once veggies are soft. Season with cracked red pepper.
4. Let cook for about a minute on stove top.
5. Place skillet in the over and cook for about 5 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.
6. Top with your favorite toppings

This was lunch today! Chicken fajita lettuce wraps 😋. Chicken, light sour cream, and low fat cheese. I usually put guacamole and salsa on there but I ran out of both of those things and yes I cried. But these were still hella tasty and hit the spot. I ate four total and I regret nothing. ⠀

You know what a new feeling for me is? NOT regretting what I ate. And damn does it feel good. Because the only person responsible for what I was putting in my mouth is me. And it’s zero fun being mad at me. Now when I eat I feel satisfied and full and not foggy and immediately disappointed about my choices. Yay for good choices! ⠀

Look, I haven’t always been “in shape”, “fit”, or enjoyed working out, even though I've been pretty skinny my whole life. I DESPISED it and would have anxiety over the 1 mile run we had to do in gym class.

I got a personal trainer in high school but once I left for college I gave it all up. I would do these  cleanse in college to try and loose a few extra pounds from all of the drinking I was doing. -
It wasn’t until this past semester in college, where I really buckled down and decided to truly CHANGE MY LIFE. I have never and will never look back.

Working out and healthy nutrition has changed so many aspects of my life, and you as my followers have seen that! I work my ASS off, everyday, consistently to achieve goals, that make me feel like my future is heading somewhere AMAZING. I had slip ups and lost motivation but who doesn’t?

This afternoon we are having an early dinner so I can treat my monkeys to their favorite ice cream spot in a bit (it’s about a bajillion degrees out today!). I was starving and needed to come up with something fast, so I sautéed up fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes, some all natural roasted red pepper chicken sausage and white beans. COCONUT CHICKEN SALAD WITH WARM HONEY MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE
INGREDIENTS:
6 (about 12 oz) chicken tenderloins
6 tbsp shredded sweetened coconut
1/4 cup panko crumbs (or GF panko)
2 tbsp crushed corn flake crumbs
1/3 cup egg whites, beaten
pinch salt
olive oil spray
6 cups mixed baby greens
3/4 cup shredded carrots
1 large tomato, sliced
1 small cucumber, sliced
For the Vinaigrette:
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp white vinegar (balsamic would work too)
2 tsp dijon mustard
DIRECTIONS:
Whisk all vinaigrette ingredients; set aside.
Preheat oven to 375°.
Combine coconut flakes, panko, cornflake crumbs and salt in a bowl.
Put egg whites or egg beaters in another bowl.
Lightly season chicken with salt. Dip the chicken in the egg, then in the coconut crumb mixture.
Place chicken on a cookie sheet lined with parchment for easy cleanup. Lightly spray with olive oil spray and bake for 30 minutes turning halfway, or until chicken is cooked through.
Place 2 cups baby greens on each plate. Divide carrots, cucumber, tomato evenly between each plate.
When chicken is ready slice on the diagonal and place on top of greens.
Heat dressing in the microwave a few seconds and divide equally between each salad; a little over 1 tbsp each.

For the first time in nearly a decade, my iron levels were low when I went to donate blood today. Fortunately they were just high enough for me to donate, but normally mine are pretty high. Could explain why I’ve been feeling a bit light headed and dizzy lately. So, straight to the supermarket for some red meats! I had planned to have chicken for dinner, but my health has to come first. You guys asked for it, so here it is! This ice cream-like treat is made from just three ingredients, and it is perfect for a summertime breakfast or lunch, a healthy dessert, or in my case, sick day throat soothing! All I did was blend equal parts frozen blueberries, steamed then frozen cauliflower, and frozen mango in my Vitamix with the tiniest splash of almond milk to create a really thick texture! It takes a little bit of time and patience to blend your smoothie up with almost no liquid (use a tamper, and don’t forget to stop and scrape the sides of the blender periodically😉), but it makes for the most amazing creamy and frozen texture! 😋 It’s so worth it! On top, I added some unsweetened shredded coconut and a drizzle of raw honey that a family friend gave us from her backyard beehives! Of course, you don’t have to add the honey (try agave if you are a vegan who does not eat honey), but it gives the the bowl a nice, fancy dessert flair, and it’s also great for sore throats like mine!🙌🏼

I was depressed, dehydrated, malnourished, stressed, anxious and just no satisfied with how I was living!! I was so scared to bring this baby home with a three year old, an 85 year old and it was MY responsibility to keep them all alive!

The girl on the left was suffering from pretty serious depression. She went back and forth between not having an appetite at all, and binge eating whole Domino’s pizzas, whole bags of gummy worms and whatever else she could find. She never exercised, hated her body, and wanted more than anything to be 125 lbs again. She was isolated, extremely insecure, and miserable all the time. She felt trapped that way, she never would have believed the girl on the right was possible.

And that’s why I have such a passion for fitness, nutrition and strength training y’all. It literally saved my life! Not only did I lose 20 lbs and gain some serious muscle, but (SLOWLY, and with the help of medication) I managed to cure my depression, and even come off of the medication. I eat healthy most of the time and treat myself too (a lot). I eat to maintain my mental and physical health (more animal protein and veggies, less weed, Domino’s and gummy bears) and to fuel my strength and performance in the gym. I no longer strive for a certain goal weight, because I’ve learned to appreciate my body no matter what it looks like. I am truly the most confident, happy, strong, and in shape that I’ve been in my entire life. And I’m so grateful for the girl on the left for inspiring and constantly fueling who I am today ✨ -

Hey everybody! How has this morning and early afternoon gone for all of you? Mine has been SO great! 🙌🏻 Once I  was donr with my breakfast, which was AMAZING, I got ready for the gym and then headed out to train! Today was the upper-body + HIIT session and MAN did it feel good! I got so sweaty, worked it, and feel STRONG! 💪🏻 I then stretched out and ran to the grocery to grab a few things for my lunch! I’m now home, just finished up a GREAT headstand practice, and sure am hungry for my lunch! I’m on a roll with tryin new things, today, and I can’t wait to rest out this combination! I’ve seen roasted sweet potato and squashes in salad (cold) before, but have never tried it! I’d say it’s time to do so! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am having: a mixed salad with roasted chicken breast (in @traderjoes 21 Seasoning Salute), quinoa, roasted sweet potato (in coconut oil + pepper + cayenne + garlic powder), chopped walnuts, feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, and romaine lettuce as the base! 😍👅💦 This looks so delicious and should be a great changing up of a meal! My digestion feels like it’s all back to normal and I want to assure that I’m pushing my comfort zones and variations of what foods I am eating. I am breaking little rules I have, also. There are too many, so I don’t want to say. 🙅🏻 Just know I AM actively trying to ditch them. ❌ They serve me no good, are NOT sustainable, and make zero sense. The first week is basically avoiding all gluten, dairy, sweeteners, soy, corn, dates, etc. Incorporate ALL the leafy greens, broccolis, carrots, beets, and use 🥔, 🍠, plantains as main carbs along with grains like quinoa, rice and oats in moderation. So this lunch plate was inspired by @shutthekaleup 😉

I will say, before I started this training I thought only 4 days of workouts were not going to be enough. 😳Now I’m saying, thank you Joel for the recovery day tomorrow. 😳I need it. My arms need it. 🤗You don’t have to workout for hours at a gym to get results. Who has time for that anyway? 🙄It’s called efficiency and having an experienced trainer in your house telling you proper form and how to quickly transition to a new move. I have not had raspberries in a while now because stores do not really carry them, or if they do, they are really expensive for just a small amount! But, I got these a few days ago because it was 2 for $5, which is still kind of a lot for just a few berries, but it is better than the original price! 😌 I have noticed that I lost a lot of followers! And, like I mentioned last week, I do not care about the amount of followers I have. All I care about is to share my journey and to help others, while promoting recovery and taking a stand for mental illnesses. 💪🏼❤️ But, I have dropped an immense amount of supporters, which is making me feel very paranoid, and it even stresses me out. The reason being is, being a perfectionist, I am immediately believe to think that something I am doing on here is not found right. I ate this while I was at the park earlier! I taught the kids some self defense, and I spoke to them about kidnappers luring kids. I just broke down to them, in a child friendly manner, that they should never listen to strangers, go with a stranger, unless given permission by a parent, etc. Just the basic conversation every parent has with their child. The reason I did this is because the epidemic on kidnappings have been growing. No one knows how to protect themselves or subsequently rule out their kidnapping. In my opinion, communities should offer free classes to teach kids and even adults about these things.

Our challengers are normal people who have had enough of life taking over and not prioritising themselves. We work closely with all of them to give them the long term skills and tools to health. Great RESULTS are way better than no results 🙏

Good morning all! Well, not anymore. It is very well past the afternoon, but I am acting as if I wrote this in the morning. My phone will not let me take any pictures, so I had to just screenshot from my story! 📸 I did not get much sleep last night, and I woke up really early! I just spent some time on my phone this morning, and then, I went ahead and made some breakfast while watching the Bachelorette! 😂🌹 I never watched it before, but I spontaneously watched an episode one time, and now I have been watching the rest of the episodes of this season. FitFuel Fans! Coconut Cookie is making another come back but this time in a different form!! Most of you that know me know I was the Founder and Chief Foodie Officer of FitFuel Bars.  Funny I still have the hand-written original bar recipe and I literally keep it in my safe! Nope still not sharing that secret sauce recipe:) If you are familiar with the bars you may also know that I could no longer compete in the market and still keep my high sourcing ingredient standards. If you love the FitFuel bars as much as I do you may remember the flavor that had an actual cult like following “Coconut Cookie”. Here is a secret...when I came up with the FitFuel bars I used Arbonne protein powder for years in my manufacturing. It was the original ingredient. Why? It tastes amazing, all organic, gluten free, cruelty free and vegan. So going back to my roots and sharing my truth also means I am sharing lots of things you may have not known about how I got started and what tools I used to get my businesses off the ground. Well I was actually an Arbonne rep solely so I could get a better discount on the product for my bars. I developed this “Coconut Cookie” shake recipe that tastes pretty damn close to the original coconut cookie bar! HOW TO BALANCE YOUR PLATE 🥙

We all know what we should be eating right? But how often do we actually have a balanced plate of nutritious food that is going to fuel you all day long 🤷🏼‍♀️ Well guys and gals here is a quick run down of what you should look for when balancing a healthy meal 🙌🏼 Protein: Plant based such as nuts, seeds, tofu, beans, quinoa or oats or animal protein if it’s your thing including lean meat and eggs.

Complex carbs: Whole grains such as brown rice, oats and quinoa, buckwheat, wholemeal pasta/bread, sweet potato, pumpkin, banana and apples 
Good fats: Avocado, nut butter, coconut oil, olive oil, nuts and seeds, oily fish, flax seeds and chia seeds

Micro nutrients: Fruit, vegetable, whole grains, herbs, dairy, nuts, seeds, seaweed, lean meat (these all supply different vitamins and minerals)

And remember to always eat a rainbow 🌈
