Now anyone that knows me knows I LOVE avocados I have to say I eat a lot of them (probably too much 🤣) here are some fun facts on the benefits of eating avocados 😍

Avocados contain quite a bit of potassium, dietary fiber, and fats. 
Avocado oil alone is almost two-thirds (71 percent) monounsaturated fatty acids — aka the “good fats” shown to lower LDL, or “bad,” cholesterol and increase HDL, or “good,” cholesterol, according to the Dairy Council of California.

I now sleep through the night and have more energy than ever. 🥔🧡 Not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked for this dinner plan tonight. I’m all about what is quick, easy, but still nutritious & this couldn’t have fit the bill any better. Topped with riced broccoli (courtesy of @greengiant steamer bag), sautéed mushrooms in ghee (I feel fancier just saying ghee), Jack Daniels shredded BBQ beef & sharp cheddar cheese. Can you say balanced? Protein, good carbs AND snuck in some veggies... boom.
So good & so easy. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Busy Moms: put the potatoes in the oven to bake while you’re at practice, set the timer so that it turns off in an hour but keeps the taters warm til you get home, microwave the meat & broccoli while you cook the mushrooms, dinner in 15 minutes. Done & Done.

I didn’t measure a thing - I just threw it all in and pressed a button! However, these approx measurements should work. 
Once done- roll and refrigerate.

3/4 cup dry roasted peanuts 
3/4 cup pitted dates 
3 tablespoons peanut butter 
1.5 serves @botanikablends cacao hazelnut protein powder 
3 tablespoons carob powder 
1.5 teaspoons natural vanilla bean paste 
1 tablespoon organic maple syrup 
1 pinch sea salt
Water, added gradually once everything else is blended, and just enough to reach desired fudgey consistency (for me it was approx 6-7 tablespoons)

Some of you may already know me but if not, hello! My name is Jade and I’m an artist based out of the Norman/OKC area who loves music and dogs a little too much and also on the road to healthier/happier life. 
Since December of 2017, I have been on a mission to improve my life both physically and mentally. The second the new year started, so did my diet. 
My habits started out healthy, but I slowly became paranoid about every little thing. Calories terrified me and I began restricting heavily. Going two or three days without eating seemed normal to me. But as a result, I dropped a good deal of weight in a short amount of time. Not only that, but I started losing hair rapidly and my energy was practically non-existent. I knew what I was doing was not healthy in the slightest. 
Fast forward to November, I promised myself that I was going to do this in a way that is healthy and something I could be proud of. Keto was introduced to me awhile back and after months of thorough research, I decided to give it my all.

So here we are! I’m ten days in and feel AMAZING! This page will be dedicated to my life while on keto. I’ll post about how I feel, recipes, any tips, weight loss, you name it.

Avocado, Onion and Tomato Salad
😍😍😍 .
This simple tomato salad is an easy side dish for any dinner or makes a great lunch.

Ingredients
1 large tomato sliced in thick slices
1/2 avocado sliced
2 slices red onion I prefer mine nearly shaved
6 cherry tomatoes halved
sprig of fresh tarragon
1 T fruity olive oil the best you can afford
1/2 tsp champagne vinegar
.
Instructions
Put tomatoes, avocado and sliced onion on a small plate, sprinkle with tarragon leaves and dress with the olive oil and vinegar. Add kosher or sea salt and some pepper to taste. The olive oil is really the key and main flavor so add more to taste and make sure its good and fruity to complement the freshness of the other ingredients.

Tried out this super flavourful chicken soup recipe from @ambitiouskitchen to rave reviews!

It's super nourishing thanks to the fresh thyme and rosemary and also has anti-inflammatory, cold-fighting ingredients like freshly grated ginger, garlic, and tumeric.

We didn’t have any pearl couscous so subbed for gluten free noodles and I also added a cup of water.

Perfect for a cooler day - hope you enjoy it like my family did!

1 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 yellow onion, diced
2 carrots, thinly sliced
2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 tbsp fresh grated turmeric (or 1 teaspoon ground turmeric)
6 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 pound chicken breast
1 tsp freshly chopped rosemary
1 tsp freshly chopped thyme, stems removed
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup pearl or Israeli couscous
2/3 cup frozen peas

Place a large pot over medium high heat and add in oil. Then add in garlic, onion, carrots and celery; cook until onion becomes translucent.

Add in grated ginger and grated turmeric. Saute for 30 seconds then add in chicken broth, chicken breast, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.

Bring soup to a boil, then stir in couscous. Make sure the chicken is covered by the broth. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.

Once chicken is cooked, remove and shred with two forks. Add chicken back to pot then stir in frozen peas. Salt and pepper to taste.

11.14.15 we got married ♥️ It was magical!!! 😍 Six weeks later as we started to plan our honeymoon for the following summer we found out we had to move. Our monthly expenses nearly doubled. Any sort of trip was out of question. Five months after, I lost my job. Six months after we got married, we found out we were pregnant. Event after event. Bump after bump. Challenge after challenge. 11.14.15 we got married ♥️ It was magical!!! 😍 Six weeks later as we started to plan our honeymoon for the following summer we found out we had to move. Our monthly expenses nearly doubled. Any sort of trip was out of question. Five months after, I lost my job. Six months after we got married, we found out we were pregnant. Event after event. Bump after bump. Challenge after challenge. -Pork Carnitas 2x 3 portion bags
-Beef Ragu 1x 3 portion bag
-Shredded Beef Chili con Carne 3x 3 portion bags and 1x 1 portion bag

I put chili con carne on slow cooker overnight and we managed to get 16 portions out of it. 3 portions for lunch today, 3 portions for lunch tomorrow, and the rest have gone to the freezer 😁. I like to freeze them in zip lock bags and flatten them to save space in our small freezer. They defrost faster too.

Since I decided to change my lifestyle & start taking better care of myself I’ve been a better mom, spouse, coworker, leader & friend! 
As we approach the busiest season of the year, I want to encourage you to stay consistent on taking care of yourself DAILY! 
Just because we have 3-5 meals (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years and I threw in an extra just because😉) to indulge, doesn’t mean we have to let go of ourselves the other days of the season. 
That’s like spilling your tequila shot & then just dumping the whole thing out because you spilt a drop. Doesn’t make sense! Ya feel me?

Basically all veggies and most fruits are low in calories so I encourage you to try new fruits and veggies 🙌🏼 Years ago I didn’t even know about beetroot or sweet potatoes and now they are one of my favourites so go grocery shopping like Indiana Jones 🤠 and discover what mother nature has to offer + research ways to prepare them so they taste yum + you can always sneak some in your smoothies for example 😉💚

50gr bột mì
7 gr bột ngô
2gr bột nở
1 ít muối
2gr bột quế
12gr đường thốt nốt
63ml sữa hạt tuỳ ý
25ml nước lọc
7ml dầu dừa
2.5ml vanilla extract.

Cách làm:
1. Trộn đều các nguyên liệu. Trộn xong để hỗn hợp nghỉ mệt 15p 🤦🏻‍♀️.
2. Để lửa vừa. Chống dính chảo bằng 1 lớp mỏng dầu dừa/ dầu dạng xịt.
3. Đổ bánh vào chảo. Đổ đều từng cái bánh bằng cách dùng muỗng/ cup/ anything you like nhưng mà múc đều nhau để bánh đều nhau hihi. Đợi tầm 1-3 phút (đổ mỏng thì đợi nhanh, dày thì đợi lâu...), đợi tới lúc thấy mặt bên trên của bánh nổi bọt thì lật lại, đợi thêm 1-2 phút nữa.
4. Xong rùi. Ăn chung với mật ong, trái cây, dâu táo chúi, hạt.. thích gì ăn nấyyy 💛💛💛.

Stuffed Sweet Potatoes: ( pre-heat oven bake 350 degrees) 2 sweet potatoes (cook in microwave 8 mins), 4 eggs scrambled with shredded chicken (seasoning: crushed red pepper, paprika, chilli powder). Take sweet potatoes out of microwave and cut in half ( without cutting them totally apart) . Put them on non stick pan.  Add a little bit of butter , and then fill sweet potatoes in the middle with egg & chicken mixture. Sprinkle some cheese. Place stuffed potatoes in oven for 8 mins. Set to cool for 2 mins , and then ENJOY!😋 Side: Broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. ( salt and pepper)

Ugh don’t really know how to say this but my younger 10 year old brother is being an absolute dick. Not only to me, but also to my mom and dad. He’s started to make really mean comments to me. It’s really hurting my self esteem tbh and making me feel SO BAD for eating. If that makes any sense lmao😂 I just hate eating when some shit like this is going on because I always feel like it’s my fault and I don’t deserve to eat🙄

I used to workout because I despised this roll or wanted to rid myself of that problem area. My goal was to look hot in a bikini for the looming summer season. Unfortunately the motivation didn’t last and the results never came. When I finally flipped the script on my perspective, my whole world changed. Banning myself from sinful treats turned into avoiding poisons of the food industry and fueling my body with nutrients that nourish me. Working out has changed from a chore to a recharging. No sabia que nombre ponerle a esta FITliciosidad!! Asiqueee.....que se llamee.... ***MUGCACIN***🙄🙄😅 Primero: esta verde porque le puse calabacin,zuccini,carote o como lo conoscan🥒,y tranquilosss no sabe a calabacin se los juroo ,se le puse para darle volumen al postre y asi pues tenga lo sufi para quedar feliz 😅por las tardes generalmente es cuando mas hambre tengo mas aun si termine de entrenar,y me dan ganas de comerme un mundo🤦‍♀️y como el aporte calorico de mi amado zuccini🥒 es casi nada hay qe sacarle provecho 😈jiji, antes de que me ponga intensa y empiece a hablar de otras cosaa(como siempre) mejor empiezo con el modus operandi 👩‍🍳!
.RECETA:
•°INGREDIENTES:
-50g de calabacin
-5 claras de huevo
-30g de hojuelas de quinoa (reemplazable por avena)
-stevia o el edulcorante que usan a gusto
-1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear
-canela a gusto!
-esencia de vainilla si quieren pero yo prefiero pinerle maaas canela 😅
•°HOW TO:
-PRIMERO rayan o cortan en pedazos pequeños el calabacin y lo meten a la licuadora con un chorrin de agua. Hasta que se haga tipo pure y ahi le hechan la quinoa o la avena ,la canela,el polvo de hornear,la stevia,2 claras y vuelven a licuar hasta que de integre todoo y cuando ya tengas la mezcla lo vacias en un bowl o cualquier recipiente y recien le pones las otras 3 claras,con un tenedor lo bates todo hasta que la mezcla quede un poco espumosita,despues en un sarten lo llevas a fuego medio ojo tiene qe estar tapado,dejas unos 10 segundos a fuego medio y le bajas al minimooo y dejas que se vaya cocinando (tapado),despues de unos 2 minutos abres y lo revuelves un poco y lo vuelves a tapar,y repites hasta que tu veas que ya esta listo! El hecho de abrir,revolver y volver a tapar y volver a revolver lalaala jeje hace que salga mas cremosito! 
Una vez que ya tu veas qe la mezcla esta algo asi como chiclosa lo pasas al recipiente en el que lo vas a servir y lo dejas enfriar a temperatura ambiente y listo! Yo le puse mantequilla de mani pero pueden ponerle fruta o protella (les enseñe la anterior vez) 😋 +1taza de cafe😋👌 ñooomi!!
