When you can still eat your favorite treat AND keep your macros on track 😍🎉🙌🏼 learning to count my macros has been an interesting experience. It was a struggle at first, but once I learned how to incorporate the foods that make me feel best and still meet my goals I started to see the best results!
🥔🧡 Not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked for this dinner plan tonight. I’m all about what is quick, easy, but still nutritious & this couldn’t have fit the bill any better. Topped with riced broccoli (courtesy of @greengiant steamer bag), sautéed mushrooms in ghee (I feel fancier just saying ghee), Jack Daniels shredded BBQ beef & sharp cheddar cheese. Can you say balanced? Protein, good carbs AND snuck in some veggies... boom.
So good & so easy. 🙋🏼♀️ Busy Moms: put the potatoes in the oven to bake while you’re at practice, set the timer so that it turns off in an hour but keeps the taters warm til you get home, microwave the meat & broccoli while you cook the mushrooms, dinner in 15 minutes. Done & Done.
Some of you may already know me but if not, hello! My name is Jade and I’m an artist based out of the Norman/OKC area who loves music and dogs a little too much and also on the road to healthier/happier life.
Since December of 2017, I have been on a mission to improve my life both physically and mentally. The second the new year started, so did my diet.
My habits started out healthy, but I slowly became paranoid about every little thing. Calories terrified me and I began restricting heavily. Going two or three days without eating seemed normal to me. But as a result, I dropped a good deal of weight in a short amount of time. Not only that, but I started losing hair rapidly and my energy was practically non-existent. I knew what I was doing was not healthy in the slightest.
Fast forward to November, I promised myself that I was going to do this in a way that is healthy and something I could be proud of. Keto was introduced to me awhile back and after months of thorough research, I decided to give it my all.
So here we are! I’m ten days in and feel AMAZING! This page will be dedicated to my life while on keto. I’ll post about how I feel, recipes, any tips, weight loss, you name it.

Tried out this super flavourful chicken soup recipe from @ambitiouskitchen to rave reviews!
It's super nourishing thanks to the fresh thyme and rosemary and also has anti-inflammatory, cold-fighting ingredients like freshly grated ginger, garlic, and tumeric.
We didn’t have any pearl couscous so subbed for gluten free noodles and I also added a cup of water.
Perfect for a cooler day - hope you enjoy it like my family did!
1 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 yellow onion, diced
2 carrots, thinly sliced
2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 tbsp fresh grated turmeric (or 1 teaspoon ground turmeric)
6 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 pound chicken breast
1 tsp freshly chopped rosemary
1 tsp freshly chopped thyme, stems removed
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup pearl or Israeli couscous
2/3 cup frozen peas
Place a large pot over medium high heat and add in oil. Then add in garlic, onion, carrots and celery; cook until onion becomes translucent.
Add in grated ginger and grated turmeric. Saute for 30 seconds then add in chicken broth, chicken breast, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
Bring soup to a boil, then stir in couscous. Make sure the chicken is covered by the broth. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
Once chicken is cooked, remove and shred with two forks. Add chicken back to pot then stir in frozen peas. Salt and pepper to taste.

With the cold weather hitting hard these last few weeks I have been craving all things warm and hearty. This Mongolian Beef Stew did just the trick!
This dish was new to me, but I am all about adding variety to my usual diet. Make sure to shake it up and try something new this week. You never know what your taste buds may be missing out on! 👅

Since I decided to change my lifestyle & start taking better care of myself I’ve been a better mom, spouse, coworker, leader & friend!
As we approach the busiest season of the year, I want to encourage you to stay consistent on taking care of yourself DAILY!
Just because we have 3-5 meals (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years and I threw in an extra just because😉) to indulge, doesn’t mean we have to let go of ourselves the other days of the season.
That’s like spilling your tequila shot & then just dumping the whole thing out because you spilt a drop. Doesn’t make sense! Ya feel me?

🥞🥞🥞 Nguyên liệu:
50gr bột mì
7 gr bột ngô
2gr bột nở
1 ít muối
2gr bột quế
12gr đường thốt nốt
63ml sữa hạt tuỳ ý
25ml nước lọc
7ml dầu dừa
2.5ml vanilla extract.
1. Trộn đều các nguyên liệu. Trộn xong để hỗn hợp nghỉ mệt 15p 🤦🏻♀️.
2. Để lửa vừa. Chống dính chảo bằng 1 lớp mỏng dầu dừa/ dầu dạng xịt.
3. Đổ bánh vào chảo. Đổ đều từng cái bánh bằng cách dùng muỗng/ cup/ anything you like nhưng mà múc đều nhau để bánh đều nhau hihi. Đợi tầm 1-3 phút (đổ mỏng thì đợi nhanh, dày thì đợi lâu...), đợi tới lúc thấy mặt bên trên của bánh nổi bọt thì lật lại, đợi thêm 1-2 phút nữa.
4. Xong rùi. Ăn chung với mật ong, trái cây, dâu táo chúi, hạt.. thích gì ăn nấyyy 💛💛💛.

Asiqueee.....que se llamee.... ***MUGCACIN***🙄🙄😅 Primero: esta verde porque le puse calabacin,zuccini,carote o como lo conoscan🥒,y tranquilosss no sabe a calabacin se los juroo ,se le puse para darle volumen al postre y asi pues tenga lo sufi para quedar feliz 😅por las tardes generalmente es cuando mas hambre tengo mas aun si termine de entrenar,y me dan ganas de comerme un mundo🤦♀️y como el aporte calorico de mi amado zuccini🥒 es casi nada hay qe sacarle provecho 😈jiji, antes de que me ponga intensa y empiece a hablar de otras cosaa(como siempre) mejor empiezo con el modus operandi 👩🍳!
-50g de calabacin
-5 claras de huevo
-30g de hojuelas de quinoa (reemplazable por avena)
-stevia o el edulcorante que usan a gusto
-1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear
-canela a gusto!
-esencia de vainilla si quieren pero yo prefiero pinerle maaas canela 😅
-PRIMERO rayan o cortan en pedazos pequeños el calabacin y lo meten a la licuadora con un chorrin de agua. Hasta que se haga tipo pure y ahi le hechan la quinoa o la avena ,la canela,el polvo de hornear,la stevia,2 claras y vuelven a licuar hasta que de integre todoo y cuando ya tengas la mezcla lo vacias en un bowl o cualquier recipiente y recien le pones las otras 3 claras,con un tenedor lo bates todo hasta que la mezcla quede un poco espumosita,despues en un sarten lo llevas a fuego medio ojo tiene qe estar tapado,dejas unos 10 segundos a fuego medio y le bajas al minimooo y dejas que se vaya cocinando (tapado),despues de unos 2 minutos abres y lo revuelves un poco y lo vuelves a tapar,y repites hasta que tu veas que ya esta listo! El hecho de abrir,revolver y volver a tapar y volver a revolver lalaala jeje hace que salga mas cremosito!
Una vez que ya tu veas qe la mezcla esta algo asi como chiclosa lo pasas al recipiente en el que lo vas a servir y lo dejas enfriar a temperatura ambiente y listo! Yo le puse mantequilla de mani pero pueden ponerle fruta o protella (les enseñe la anterior vez) 😋 +1taza de cafe😋👌 ñooomi!!
