This is how I feel the cannabis industry and the cannabis community is now. Timberrrrrr. Two or three year experience growers that learned everything and had to be spoon fed the basics daily by the dm are now on their high horses acting like they're master growers. The money has also taken the reigns so if you have $ you can also be a master grower with 1000 lights within a year. I mean, I've seen people who started growing this year talking about how they are masters and their herb is better than anyone in the state. Advanced nutrients and shit, you know it's the best, right? 😭 I think I've heard and seen it all now.. I remember just being hella stoned and making up stupid hilarious scenarios we would make jokes about 10 years ago and just laugh uncontrollably for hours about them.. That's now reality. I miss the community deeply. Now it's just about being nice to get what you want and then being shady and using people to jump over their back to get further ahead as fast as possible. Just too much negativity, fake and deceiving people up in this industry now. I remember it used to take months, years, to get a good genetic. Now, just put a price tag on a fake or trade fakes to get what you want. I notice a lot of 2 faced people now just ruining the industry. I kinda hope it turns into Marlboro tobacco soon. The industry deserves it fully. Add $, greed and dishonesty into any industry, you get Walmart. Is this industry too far gone to save? I think so. "Enhancing the Therapeutic Efficacy of Cancer Treatment With Cannabinoids"
Over the years, many in vitro and in vivostudies have shown the antineoplastic effects of cannabinoids (CBDs), with reports advocating for investigations of combination therapy approaches that could better leverage these effects in clinical translation. This study explores the potential of combination approaches employing CBDs with radiotherapy (RT) or smart biomaterials toward enhancing therapeutic efficacy during treatment of pancreatic and lung cancers. In vitrostudies, clonogenic assay results showed greater effective tumor cell killing, when combining CBDs and RT. Meanwhile, in vivo study results revealed major increase in survival when employing smart biomaterials for sustained delivery of CBDs to tumor cells. The significance of these findings, considerations for further research, and viable roadmap to clinical translation are discussed.
RT Radio Therapy
The advantage of combining CBDs with other therapies is that this may allow simultaneous targeting of tumor progression at different levels, while minimizing toxicities for these therapies relative to toxicities from higher doses when used as monotherapies. For example, studies suggest that fractionated RT can be a double-edged sword, killing tumor cells while also inducing tumor cell metastasis or invasion from the primary tumors. The use of CBDs in combination with RT could benefit from findings that CBDs can inhibit metastasis or invasion CBDs have also been reported to enhance tumor cell apoptosis via increased generation of reactive oxygen species, which could enhance the DNA-damaging effects of RT. This could allow for the reduction of RT doses or fractions to minimize RT toxicities.
