I’ve been eating leftovers all week. This was a much needed new meal. Chicken, Chorizo, and Shrimp Jambalaya. By no means is this a super authentic version but it was good nonetheless. Next time I would put a little less stock, the rice was more cooked then we like it. But I will def be experimenting with this again.

November’s book of the month is “The 5 levels of attachment” by Don Miguel Ruiz Jr.
This is a fabulous read that discusses the varying degrees to which people become attached to things, opinions and beliefs. It really made me reflect on my life as well as those around me and has given me the challenge not to judge as much. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a book that will offer a new perspective on life and cause you to stop and think.
If you have read “The 4 agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz Sr. this book is fairly similar in the language used and the principles presented.

Once you know things...you can’t un-know them. There’s many things I wish I could un-know, but then...what good would I be doing for my kids to just turn a blind eye? .
💜We’ve already learned so much along Brynn’s journey, and one of the biggest things we’ve gained knowledge in is the term fragrance. (Sometimes listed as parfum)
But yesterday...at the suggestion of a dear friend, I watched the documentary Stink. There was furious note taking, moments of wanting to throw the pen, and moments of complete break down as the tears flowed. It’s taken me many hours to process the emotions. .
👉🏻The realization that the term “fragrance” or “parfum” is actually a loophole in the industry angered me. One word actually equals hundreds of harmful ingredients, and companies don’t have to disclose to you what those ingredients are. And we allow it. .
🤔Yet...we wonder why there is so many health issues. Alarmingly rising rates of dozens of issues. Illnesses, cancers, learning disabilities, infertility, hormonal imbalances, the list could go on and on. By turning a blind eye, and not reading labels, we’re essentially doing this to ourselves. It’s. Not. Okay. .
😷Seriously, start with the term fragrance. Check your multiple products you use daily and if you see the word fragrance or parfum, start working to replace it. Because I’m apparently known as the “natural go-to girl,” I get messages on a weekly basis asking me if I’ve heard of this new product or that new product. I’m cool with that, because I’m a research nerd at heart, and with every new company, you bet I’m looking at their ingredients, looking for fragrance first. If I see it listed, it’s a “never ever would I use.” #sorrynotsorry

💔 The break up diet 💔
At least that’s what I call it. That’s what I had going on in this first picture. My weight fluctuates heavily based on my stress level. I had just ended a long relationship after finding out I’d been cheated on. I think I avoid eating because how I look feels like the one thing I have control over in a situation like that, so I make for damn sure I’m the one making decisions. I look happy and fit, right?
That’s what I was going for😉
Fast forward to the second picture (about 3 years in between) Jakes been a constant in my life for two years now. I have consistency.. which is something I NEED. This relationship, along with just growing up a bit has allowed me to recognize and mend some of the cracks in my foundation which aided my rocky relationship with food and fitness. I feel stronger than ever, and I don’t mean physically. I mean mentally and emotionally. I believe it is these improvements which allow for the physical transformation, and not the yoyo kind.. the kind that sticks. The kind that allows me to help other people attain theirs.
There’s more to this story. I’m happy to share if it will help someone else in their journey. If you need a little love and encouragement, I got you.

And I felt more alone than I had in my entire life!
Even though I was literally “living it up”
Partying, skydiving, traveling, cruises, flying airplanes....
Men buying me all kinds of gifts to fill the HOLE that was in my chest!! (Yeah I said it)

I was 100% a wreck!! 🙈
Thank the lord I grabbed the wheel....
There is no telling where I would have gone.
Because of my childhood, and the way I grew up....

In the second photo it appears my booty isn’t as big. I’m flexing the shit out of my legs hence my booty looking smaller & the position of the camera. Was I over weight? Not yet.
Was I ashamed of my body? No, but I wasn’t happy or healthy.

Instead of doubting the power of nutrition, what if you trusted the food you put in your body. Trust what it is, where it comes from and what it can do. Your food is supposed to FUEL you, not weigh you down or cause unnecessary and harmful addictions to sugars, salts and chemicals that actually harm the natural functions of your body.
Diets don’t work. They are not sustainable. They require a lot of restrictions that cause nutrient depletion and chemical imbalances in the body. The first picture is a girl who thought she was doing everything right health wise but still felt groggy, tired, and unsatisfied. The progression shows the first 30 and 60 days after introducing optimum nutrition to my daily routine. It changed everything. My strength, optimism, energy and confidence increased in drastic levels after my nutrition reset! My body was finally satisfied with the nutrients it was being fed. It showed in every aspect and I knew that I could trust this food!
I don’t diet anymore. I eat healthy, I enjoy my favorite foods and wine. I don’t restrict myself the pleasure and satisfaction of enjoying life and all the fun that comes from being a “Foodie” and a wine connoisseur.
I am a health and wellness coach and I stand by what I say and put out into this universe. I want others to know that there are solutions to fix the holes in your daily nutrition, not fillers or short lived fixes.

I always ,get a ton of questions how I stay motivated! For as long as I’m human ( which I believe I will be for the rest of this Lifetime lol) I will -feel emotions and -be flawed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it over and over again because this is my training mantra.: Do it From inside out.. The greatest, healthiest outlet I learned was how to transfer my emotions into energy.. Exercises will forever be my emotional release first and foremost. Then for performance my natural competitiveness of getting stronger, faster , better. If you’re training for a particular one - Time event or you look in the mirror and critique your physical appearance and wish you could change this That etc etc you’ll never quite to be satisfied. We are always in a state of flux and there’s always something to be fix... That’s the fastest way to be discouraged. But when you train for how it makes you feel and the progressive satisfaction of what your body can do I guarantee you will never ever quit. Bonus: The body is a byproduct. Fight for yourself! 🙌. What keeps you motivated?? I wanna know!!! 💪🏻

Loving my new sweater work out kick. I am drenched by the end of my workouts, and I feel like I'm pushing myself more like this. There is a tendency for girls especially to wear almost nothing and, while that's everyones own choice, I feel pressure to then look attractive at all angles. By wearing this baggy hoodie, I'm focused on lifting and being strong, not sexy, in the gym. For my mentality, I needed this and I've been feeling so much more confident, and less on display. I am fighting a sense of embarrassment posting these before pictures 🙈 You might look at these photos and see more fat and less fat, but what I see is an incredible tranformation beyond just the physical. I am learning to love my body through self motivation, control, and determination. I have struggled with multiple eating disorders and an over all very sickening view of my body for years. This transformation has been just over the past year and I am so proud of myself for truly loving the body God gave me instead of bullying it. Of course, I still struggle with self image and not measuring up to how I want to look at times, but it's a process I'm learning to be patient with. How shredded I get doesnt define my worth. This journey of physical strength has lead me to a place of mental strength and confidence I never knew I could experience. Now I probably talk about health and fitness too much, but truly am the biggest advocate for growth and self development in every aspect of life. ❤🏋🏻♀️🙏🏼
