It’s always great to share our passion within the culinary world, how we grow and also hear how our produce are used within our customers dishes 🍽
It was great to see the chefs from @theshipinnsouthwalsham again and for them to see how much #nurturedinnorfolk have grown in produce and expanded as a company 🌱

The last November fig | Ultima smochină dinaintea zăpezii
As we had an unusual warm autumn (until now...), our fig tree actually managed to grow one more fruit. That I was able to save before the snow came. Now, it wasn't as ripe as in August... but it was home-grown and obviously delicious! 😊
Do figs even grow in Romania, you ask? Well, they do in the South. You have to cover up in the winter though. 💨
Actually, I would never come to have a fig tree if it wasn't for my work colleague from Frankfurt, some good years ago. One summer day, she came to the office with a huge bowl of delicious small figs from her parents garden. I didn't even knew that figs grew in Germany... that very night, I called my family in Bucharest and they also planted a tree in our garden. 5y later => we even have 2 trees in the garden. Also, ein großes Dankeschön @cs_richter for the inspiration!
Funny thing is that I'm the only one in my family that eats them... and now I even have 2 trees to serve me 😋 but I don't complain 😋
How about you? Figs 👍 or 👎?
"Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come." -Robert H Schuller
