Feeling very proud of my family today! All of us grandchildren pitched in , either monetarily or physically or both to get our grandfather two new decks! And let me tell you friends and neighbors, he NEEDED them. We, literally, tore them apart with nothing but our bare hands. I don't know how they still worked. But in true form of our family, we worked together and built him something that not only makes him safe but makes him proud! We love you grampy! Enjoy your new stoop that can hold an elephant! ❤️

Now that I’m back to eating more cals I’ve been looking for good sources of proteins and healthier carbs. Found this @ecoorganics_au pasta. It’s just under 70g carbs for the whole bag, and I managed to get 5 servings out.
I made with a stir through sauce and some haloumi - because yolo! Will be having this one again for sure 👌🏽 Stir through sauce:
1 cup Passata Sauce
1/4 cup sundried tomato strips
Crushed garlic paste
Salt and pepper
OPTIONAL: 1/2 cup cream cheese or ricotta cheese
This Sunday funday consisted of one of my more labourious kitchen projects to date: homemade lasagna. Inside is homemade ricotta cheese, homemade noodles and homemade sauce with local beef and my garden tomatoes. Although it took several hours from start to finish it was absolutely worth it and I'll be doing it again next time I find myself with a free afternoon. Don’t panic about the rareness of the meat! I LOVE steak for my #mealpreps . The trick to not having dry steak for lunch is to cook it rare when you prep it. Today I cooked that London broil (in my highlights) and we ate the medium rare parts and packed the rare portions away for lunches. For sides I finally caved recently and bought already prepped potatoes and #veggies . I pick out the ones with low sodium and very few #ingredients . The seasoned broccoli was good, but a steamed bag of plain #broccoli and seasoning it afterwards works just as well and is healthier.
