Say 여보세요 to the Korean BBQ 👋 As you know we’re all about taking fried chicken to places the other chicken shops fear and our Korean BBQ is no exception 🍔🇰🇷💥 We’re in the middle of an emotional farewell to our Gangnam Style which means it’s time to start thinking about another sandwich on the Asian vibe. What are some your favourite Asian ingredients that you think would blow minds in sandwich form?
Pre-holiday lunch with some work mates. The last time we were here we waited aaages for our food. This time we came early, ordered burgers instead of dishes, and got food in under 10 minutes!
The "feed the beast" lunch deal basically gets you any of their handcrafted burgers (served with fries, and normally $19+) for $15. We got a different one each, and shared in a serve of wet wings (8pc) for $15. We had the sriracha, honey and garlic flavour, which we all thought was an enjoyable combination.
Burger wise I had the XXXX Summer Fish Burger - beer battered local fish served with scalloped potato, lemon caviar, salsa verde and tartare sauce. Except mine came with two potato wedges rather than a scallop. As a result of this and the non circular shape of the fish, several mouthfuls were either just the bun, or bun and potato. So yeah, don't think I'll be getting this again. Chips were good though, and went well with mopping up some of that leftover sauce from the wings 😂
My colleagues had The Pig Pen (bottom left; pulled pork burger with smoked pineapple, house slaw and mustard pickles) and Big Bird (bottom right; Buffalo fried chicken burger with bacon, onion rings, ranch & lettuce). Feedback on the pig pen was that it was a bit dry but otherwise not bad, though not an immediate reorder candidate. Big bird was a hit and definite reorder, so I might try that next time.
🎵Come fry with me, let’s fry, let’s fry away🎵All our juicy fillets are fried in British rapeseed oil which has zero trans fats compared to the regular frying oil found in most chicken shops. More importantly that’s why you’ll always FEEL THE CRUNCH 🍗💥
Fried chicken all day everyday. They’re famous for their fried chicken and waffles, but we decided to give their sandwich a try this time. Make sure you order a side of their warm maple butter syrup to go with the sandwich as well.
i have been trying to find THE best fried chicken burger in canberra, and i gotta tell ya, the fried chicken burger from @interlude_espressobar is pretty high up there. although it isnt served with coleslaw like a lot of others, it is still a QUALITY ASS BURGER. food coffee is always welcome, and the piccolo latte i had on the columbian single origin was crAzy good too!
lets talk about this fricken chicken burger from @sellicatessen ! now any burger with fried chicken and coleslaw on it is a good burger, but the super crispy chicken and pickles kick it up a notch! and that aioli? aioLOVE!
