Must see if you get pain in yoir knees while squatting
SQUATS HURT YOUR KNEES? by: @chaddriscoll
🍗If I were to list my top 5 favorite exercises squats wouldn’t make it close. Consuming copious amounts of buffalo wings would, but squats takes a back seat.
🎃Having said that squats are a great exercise, they just tend to give people problems because they are complex. Many will tell me, “you’re going to ruin your knees squatting all of the time” or “Squats KILL my knees!”
😎No one ever said you HAVE to squat to be strong. Below I have mapped you a few alternatives and things you can try.
1️⃣Improve your ankle mobility. Everything with the squat is built from the ground up. If your feet and ankles are not moving properly everything up stream will suffer. Often, when ankles are tight the knees tend to take on a lot of force. This repeated motion over time can cause things to hurt for sure.
2️⃣Try the sumo deadlift. It is not a squat, but it does require a decent amount of quad drive. They help the knees by limiting flexion. Plus they are going to strengthen your hamstrings which will help your knees too.
3️⃣Try the box squat. I usually use the box squat with people who have trouble sitting their butt down. This reinforces that movement bringing more hips into it and relieving the knees.
4️⃣Last, choose a different exercise. There are a lot of other ways to grow your legs without squatting. Try different things and see what you like. Do what you enjoy, not what some trainer told you once upon a time.

I have been planted on my couch for the day, but this beautiful stuff made me HOP up!
Around this time each Sunday, I use to get so much anxiety about wasting my day and not being prepped for the week.
Let's be honest, I always feel behind and disorganized, but Sundays were the creme de la creme of feeling unprepared.
I would cram in a week of grading into one night, plan my lessons, write my newsletter, prep food, pack food, do laundry ALL in the next 6 hours and it drove me CRAZY.
Luckily, along with the health and wellness side of coaching, I have also learned the best management skills from the TOP lady bosses in the gang and now pace out all my to do's through the week so #teacherlife does not take over my day off!
So here is to Christmas binges, post writing, challenger check ins and lesson plans, aka BALANCE! 🤸♀️ I am looking for 5 new ladies to mentor this month. We will find the work life balance and JOY in EVERYDAY, not just living for the Fridays and dreading the Mondays 💕
