One of my favorite morning habits is making a cup of warm water & adding fresh juice from one whole lemon. Sometimes I’ll add some fresh grated ginger to it as well. Drinking a cup of warm lemon water first thing in the morning has so many health benefits! 🍋
Fresh lemon water, especially first thing in the morning, kick starts your digestive system, promotes better digestion overall & better elimination & helps prevent or relieve digestive problems like constipation, bloating, intestinal gas and heartburn.
Lemons are believed to be cleansing to the liver, kidneys and blood. An overworked liver has an influence on how good you feel so having a simple way to cleanse it each morning can make a big difference to your daily energy over time.
Lemon may decrease the amount of mucus and phlegm produced in the body. And lemon’s antibacterial properties can help prevent or cure a sore throat or cough. If you have a sore throat or cough, make a cup of warm lemon water with a bit of raw honey to sip. 🍋
Although lemon is acidic, it is alkalizing in the body. Maintaining a healthy ph level may help protect kidney function and even reduce cancer risk!

This 🙌 My lower back and my right shoulder have been very inflamed from a busy wedding/family photo season. I booked a massage last week to get some lymphatic drainage going (thank you Porsha Chalmers!) and have been drinking this Sweet Relief tea with fresh ginger root added to it. My pain is significantly reduced, almost 100% gone. Great as a tasty side dish or a low calorie, healthy Main. This is a fresh & tasty flavour combination, that is simple & quick
•Mange tout cut in half •Courgette cut into strips or spiralled into courgetti •Cherry vine tomatoes
•Spring Onion •Fresh Ginger
•Garlic Clove or Garlic Salt (limit if this is one of your IBS triggers)
•Light Soy Sauce
•Simply chop all ingredients & stir fry .
