‘Rosie how’d you triple your societies freshers week membership in one week?’ Act the absolute maggot 😂, organize well and just be sound.
Lucky to have a down to earth Committee and just lovely people in the surrounding cultural and language socs. ♥️ we bantered dancing around the tent, and united, we only made people wanna join us more. Rivalry is only for those who are too blind to see strength in numbers. 💪🏽 Sometimes being friends ends up being the secret all along, without you even realizing it! #issucd#friends#lovenotwar#dabke#freshersweek2018#ucdfreshersweek2018#ucdsocieties#united#memories

A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Bring a Friend to Fencing last night it was so great to meet you all! Our next session is Thursday 6-8 in the Small Hall again, see you all there! #mychesterstory
There's now no fencing until after development week, we're back on Tuesday 13th which is our 'Bring a Friend to Fencing' session. Anyone can come and try fencing for free so make sure you bring all your friends down!! #mychesterstory
DOCs!! It's really important to buy your DOC for the year, it's your membership to the club and it covers things like insurance and pays for new kit we may need. They cost £45 pounds for the year which is the equivalent of a month's membership to a club outside of university, so it really is a good deal! They can be bought via the SU just let us know if you have any problems 💸💸💸 #mychesterstory
For Black History Month, we have decided to introduce you all to a true fencing inspiration. Ibtihaj Muhammad is a Black American Olympic fencer. She brought home the Olympic Bronze medal for the women’s team sabre event and in doing so became the first female Muslim-American fencing champion to wear a hijab (a traditional head scarf). The sport has allowed her to compete in the same kit as everyone else whilst also wearing her hijab, something that she was conscious about when trying other sports. If after reading about Ibtihaj you would like to try fencing, contact Rosalind at firstname.lastname@example.org, or turn up to a session. Tasters are Tuesday 6-8 and Sunday 2-4. After the 21st October normal sessions are resumed to Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 and Sunday 2-4. #mychesterstory#blackhistorymonth
Don't forget it's our 'ThisGirlCan' session tonight 6-8 in the small hall. It's aimed at anyone feeling nervous about trying the sport or joining a club in general. It's not too late to join!! #mychesterstory

Today is #worldmentalhealthday2018 and we're trying to raise awareness of the fact that 1 in 4 people will suffer with a mental health issue at some point in their life. Joining a sport at University can be a great way to combat this as it let's you meet other people and keep active. Members of our committee have received mental health in sport training and are equipped to help you deal with any issues you may have #mychesterstory
Hi everyone, this is just a post to let you know what training your committee have, we're all tagged in the pictures so you can see who's who.
