At the bottom of the charming Calle Jaén sits the art gallery of Mamani Mamani. This indigeneous Aymara painter is regarded as the country's finest artist. Using vibrant colours and inspired by Andean tales, symbolism and heritage, he creates their modern, abstract representations. We were fortunate to meet Roberto Mamani that day, talk about his inspirations and discuss one of his paintings that we bought. His art makes you soak in the entire energy of the Andes! Here's a photo of some of the postcard prints available in his gallery.
Happy Autumnal Equinox!! I’ve been looking at/thinking about this painting over the last couple of days...it’s the original that has spawned numerous others this past year; I was looking at a photograph of refracted light on water, and the balance & elegance of that image was something I wanted to tackle. I’ve been thinking about horizons and the elements, space and time and... 🌏🌕💫 #ninatichava#lanternseries#water#refraction#elements#light#space#autumnequinox

Thrilled to share I've been curating 'The Art of a gift' @collectif.rue and will be releasing an 'exclusive' collection of works on paper this 2018 Holiday Season! Most beautiful gifts that give an experience. For those who know me well, 'gifting' is part of my universal magic 💫and I'm honored to be part of this creative team!

Sometimes we just need to let things sit before we can call then finished.
This was the painting that I was racing to finish last Friday to submit for a show, I chickened out last minute and submitted something else because I wasn’t sure if this was done yet. I’m kicking myself a little for not submitting it because it feels a bit more raw for me and less *finished* if that makes any sense which is what I was aiming for. .
Anyway, I think it means I can only work under pressure up to a point, but the days of still wet paint submissions are probably over.
