Day 1...was a long one and I've never been more thankful for all day energy before. We were at our hotel by 10:30am and didn't stop until we returned around 9pm. We explored the French Quarter a little, shopped the French Market and I've already had some of their amazing food. I tried a veggie mufalotta, crawfish dippers, shrimp etouffe and a piece of King cake (I did not find the baby). I've seen amazing artists of all medium on the street. New Orleans is definitely different than any other place I've traveled.
After dinner, we watched the Krewe of Boo parade. It is unlike any parade I've ever been to. They drive in cars, handing out candy and toys. There are marching bands and dance troupes of all ages and then the floats!! The floats have people on them throwing beads, candy, coffee (in packages of course), toys, snacks and cups. It was really something else seeing all the amazing Halloween costumes.
You can see videos and pictures of all my adventures in my stories.
Day 2...3 steps done and ready to walk to breakfast. Yes, even the one hour time difference has me screwed up.
Enjoy your Sunday.
