OMG, I love this film. So Freddy is weaken because no one remembers him so he sends Jason to spread fear but Jason won't stop killing so Freddy tries to kill him in the dream world but that doesn't work. The main character, Lori, pulls Freddy into the real world where he fights against Jason. The two beat the shit out of each other. So much impalements and slashes. Jason smashs Freddy through the windows before throwing him and Freddy uses air tanks as torpedoes. Freddy takes the machete and uses it on Jason but when Lori sets the dock on fire, Jason uses the distraction to jab his hand into Freddy's stomach and rips off the claw arm but Freddy stabs Jason with the machete. The dock blows, sending them flying into the water but Freddy resurfaces to kill Lori and her BF with the machete but Jason stabs Freddy with his own claw before falling into the water. Lori then uses the machete to decapitate Freddy. The next morning, Jason resurfaces while holding Freddy's head but he looks at the camera and winks.
The film took too long to get to the fight but the fight was so fucking awesome. Them using each other's weapons and beating the shit out of each other. I love how Jason basically saves the last two people from Freddy. A cool scene was Jason attacking the party while on fire. I read an early script where the ending was both of them going to hell where they were in a arena and demons were cheering to see them fight and the film ends with the two charging at each other. I would have preferred that ending. Apparently, there was suppose to be a sequel with Ash from Evil Dead. That would have been awesome and would have explained the Necronomicon from part 9 but all we got was a comic book. The characters were ok, nothing special. This was Robert Englund's final performance as Freddy Krueger and Kane Hodder was replaced for Jason because they wanted Jason to be taller than Freddy. Did anyone see that press conference for this film where they treated it like a wrestling match. That was awesome. In conclusion, I love this film and I love that fight. We need more crossovers. BTW, this was the first film I saw for both franchises.
