I remember seeing this for the first time. My jaw dropped and I was speechless. Fraser Island is a spectacular natural wonder! I did a hike through the rainforest for 3 hours and I separated myself from the group to make it a quieter hike and it was so worth it!! Go explore! I promise you won’t be disappointed! #wanderlust#thewanderinggiant#fraserisland#rainforest
I’ve driven all of Oz...Darwin, the Cape, WA, the Gulf, the Centre and the rest, but my finest memories ever are Fraser💛the largest sand island in the world. I remember swimming right here 30 years ago...magical Eli Creek✨... camping with dingoes, beach fishing, exploring the island’s sand tracks, swimming at Champagne Pools, climbing Indian Head, driving at top speed on the beach & getting lost at night & stumbling into a nudest camp!🤣 By far, all the beautiful places I have travelled in Australia, this unique marvel of nature with its fresh water lakes, 75 Mile Beach, stunning rock formations, rainforests & scenery continues to excite me and completely grounds me 🌾 #fraserisland#love#beach#bush#lake#camping#sanddune#aussie#simplythebest#untamedwilderness#eastcoast
I spent the day on Fraser Island on a 4WD tour. It was incredible! They have also officially renamed the Island K'gari (gurri), it's original name before white men in boats showed up 👏 Give it a few years and the name Fraser Island will be long forgotten 😁
One of the best things about visiting Fraser Island is getting to hang out with these cheeky little rascals. This pair of young fellas were full of beans chasing each other around the beach out the front of our camp a couple of mornings back. If you are ever visiting Fraser please don’t feed the Dingos, unfortunately Dingos that are regularly fed end up getting over confident and end up involved in “attacks” (I use that term loosely) to which the Dingo in question is usually euthanised. These animals may look ‘skinny’ to those that don’t know what they are looking at but that isn’t the case, a lean dog is a healthy dog!
