If you’re fluent in Spanish, your home can become a temporary safe haven for immigrant youth. We are consistently looking for volunteers who can foster children awaiting reunion with their families. If the task sounds daunting, Cayuga offers training and 24-hour support to foster parents.⠀

“God doesn’t allow things to happen to mess with our head; He uses these circumstances to shape our hearts. He knows difficulties and hardships and ambiguities are what cause us to grow because we are reminded of our absolute dependence upon Him.” ********
Thank you for your prayers. Our court ruling has been delayed another two months. We are admittedly sad, but we are trusting in the One who holds G in the palm of his hands.
It’s been almost two weeks since I shared anything on here! We have been having a blast at camp. My kids are in second heaven. And they’ve never been dirtier. Have I mentioned how thankful I am for a camper with a bathtub?!?😆
Then there’s this kid. This kid has gotten SO mobile. He isn’t quite crawling...at least not forwards. But he has proved that he can defeat just about any device I strap him into. One day I caught him crawling away, still strapped into the bouncy chair he had flipped over. Today, he tried to eject out of his little booster seat that was on the floor. So far, car seats and pack n plays are still safe. 😆
But he is going to be a very busy little dude when he’s fully mobile!
In regards to his case, things are actually very un-busy. A lot of unknowns and uncertainties for this kid. I’m thankful that he can be blissfully unaware, happy, and loved in spite of everything going on that will affect his life.
The good times are rolling at today’s networking play date for foster families licensed through SaintA!
While the kids skate, the parents get to network and connect with each other!
We’re excited to have 150 parents and children for this event! If you couldn’t make it, we hope to see you on July 13 for our Cool Waters event (email GrowHope@SaintA.org)!

Esther Adia,13, a South Sudanese refugee in her now home at Bidibidi Refugee settlements for South Sudanese refugees in Northern Uganda. She is one of the eleven children to whom Willson Mokili, 24 and his wife Tazita Grace, 22, South Sudanese refugees themselves became foster parents. Esther has health problems with her eyes and needs permanent medical surveillance and medicaments, a difficult situation despite the access to healthcare she has in the settlements, like all the refugees there. She is the daughter of the sister of Wilsson's father and sister to two of the other eleven children in the foster family - Florence Juan, 8 and David Awongo,7. It was amazing meeting this young refugee girl who is the biggest sister of three and who helps her foster parents by taking care of her little brother and sister. Their real parents stayed in South Sudan, August 2017. #child#refugees#meet thé #family#fosterfamily#parents#love#meetthefamily#bw#blackandwhitephotography#documentaryphotography#portrait from the ongoing series * “Endless - Unending Displacement for South Sudanese People”
Last night we gathered to celebrate our incredible foster parents in SLO and Santa Barbara Counties for their service to local youth! Thank you @centralcoasttentandparty for donating linens and glassware, @oldslobbq for catering, @eclairbakery for dessert and @shawnalanclark for providing the entertainment! ❤️✨🎈
His big heart is forever finding and delighting in little “treasures”. I hope that when he leafs our home, he still has adults who delight with him in the small things. 🍁 •
Did you catch my pun? ☝️ Just a little humor to lighten the mood as we count down the days left with him.
Things I’m grateful for:
1. This cuddle. This was as close as we get to a cuddle. Perfect cushion snuggles in front of our joint favourite film.
2. His face when he told me he got “star of the week” at school today.
3. His questions. He asked me what “fancying someone” means. I said “sometimes when you’re a teenager you see someone and your body wants to kiss them” (I dunno 🤷🏻♀️) then he said he “fancies Hermione, but only in deathly hallows not in prisoner of Azkaban because she’s ugly in that” 🙄🙈
4. Dessert. We all went out to celebrate getting through the week with a huge meal and the tastiest dessert! Sticky toffee pudding yum.
5. Second chances. I think we’ve been offered a very thin life line tonight. It might just save everything I thought I’d lost a few days a go. 🤞🏻
Thank you for tagging Hannah @childcare_adventures 😊💕 I tag @entertaining_elsie @minnie_and_me_childcare and @letsplaymama
We are off to Mexico for a week to build homes for some very deserving people. Please pray for health, safety and provision....seriously, I forgot my wallet at home!!! And a teammate used the ATM, charged her account and didn't give her cash.🙄 But we're super excited for the work ahead of us and meeting the rest of our team!
Peace out til the 30th! ✌🏼

This afternoon our beautiful HHHHunter is being fostered by the crew at Team Wooback in Yass. Feed on the ground here is pretty scarce so this will help us out a bit that way. They will also bring him back into work in harness over winter and spoil him rotten with as much love as we would. Thanks CJ and Team. We really appreciate the help!! #horsesofinstagram#heavyhorseheaven#hhhhunter @woobackyass #fosterfamily
I’ve never introduced myself here on the Insta, and I guess it’s what all the legit folks do. 🤷🏼♀️ I really do seriously and deeply love photography. If I could count all the times I could be found looking at old photos of my kids or handsome hubs and crying happily to myself, well, let’s just say I could count pretty high. 😂 And when people let you into their own love story, into the close spaces, between intimate words, and witnessing gentle touches in order to freeze that sweet moment forever in time? I consider it one of the highest honors. —————
I’m married to my best friend, and we’re close to celebrating 11 years of marriage. We got married when I was a spring chicken, and I’m so glad we didn’t waste any time getting hitched. God had us wait 8 years to become parents, and then we went from 0 to 4 kids in about a year and a half. (He had us wait another 2 years to welcome #5 to the fam. 😂) God quickly grew our family through adoption, fostering, and 💥 pregnancy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are no strangers to heartbreak- infertility, miscarriage, too late, not a good fit, too young, and on and on are all terms that we didn’t just have to get comfortable with- we had to accept as our reality. We’ve had our hearts broken more time than we can count, but we’ve had each other through it all. And more importantly, we’ve seen over and over that God’s plan is mind-blowingly fantastic and wonderful, and the plan we had that we thought was pretty good was actually just “meh”. #neverbeenhappiertobesowrong
So let me assure you- if you chose me to document your love story or special moment in life, I do so with the deepest conviction of just how precious all the beautiful (and even hard) parts of our lives are. —————
👉🏽 Swipe to see the cuties in my fam. Though I can’t share photos of my foster cuties, you better believe their beautiful faces are plastered on my walls at home. ❤️
We have a request for a foster home for roughly 3 months. Someone's grandmother has to go to the nursing home and is hoping to get into assisted living and would love to keep her cat. Cat's name is Babe (unknown age at this time), Babe likes other cats & loves kids, but has never been around a dog before. Please call the shelter, message us here on Facebook or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Owner will help pay for food, litter, ect.
(Cat above is not Babe).
Let’s start with momma’s story: She was found next to a boat launch with her days old kitten, spent a few days at the shelter then home with us. Momma is about 7 to 9 months old and a total love bug. She is trying her best at this Mom thing with a little help from us. Not so good about cleaning up after the kittens, so again we are helping. When I brought her home I noticed right away I couldn’t feel much milk and babies were very restless. So we started supplementing and momma is back on the mends with a little love and meds ❤️. My girls think we need to stick with the name theme, so introducing the #fruitkitties . Momma is “Cherry” 🍒
