The Karijini National Park has been recommended by many Australians and travelers, it is one of the most beautiful parks on the west coast because it is full of unexpected and grandiose landscapes including the Dales Gorges. Admire the shapes of rocks chipped by the nature of time, their red color so pure and the scene perfectly reflected in the lake. At the end of the hiking, a natural pool can complete the show in beauty and refresh you before you get back to the road.
"Dales Gorge (with Fortescue Falls & Fern Pool) Karijini NP⠀
Getting to Fortescue Falls is a Class 3 800m return walk down millions of metal stairs. When you reach the bottom your there and its time refreshing swim in the spring-fed permanent falls its just amazing! The sign at the the top that tells you about the trail your about to do tells you nothing about Fern Pool being at the same location! But once your at the bottom you take a 300m track to the right which will lead you there. We had no idea about it until we were back at the top with aching bones and muscles, we twiddeled our thumbs as to where it could be it was then that we spotted it on our offline maps we were super bummed that there was no signage for it and missed it but there was no way our legs would get us back down there. I told the info center at Karajini about it and she just agreed as said there was no sign grrr!"⠀

Fortescue Falls is fed by a spring and cascades down a series of natural rock steps into the pool below. It's Karijini National Park’s only permanent waterfall and was the perfect spot to cool off before doing the Dales Gorge walk. 👌🏼
