Awesome run put on by #BSA this morning. Also my first run with @charitymiles . Had a decent run. Beautiful course as always. Have run multiple races here. Pulled out second in my age group and got a cool cedar plaque. I haven't seen the official times yet but probably around three minutes quicker than mapmyrun. Great start to my day. Have a great weekend!
Explore Savannah more, grocery shop less.
Our audience has grown a bit so we thought we would re-introduce ourselves!
We’re Shop + Stock, a local grocery delivery company, currently serving Savannah and Tybee Island since early 2017!
Our specialty? We grocery shop and stock your items in your vacation rental, leaving you with more time to explore the sights of Savannah instead of inside a grocery store! Is the idea of making a list too daunting? We have pre-made lists called Bundles to choose from that could enhance your vacation; such as, the Breakfast Bundle, Picnic Bundle and Romantic Bundle!

Settle in, kiddies. Part II is a doozy. ❤️ The day before their engagement shoot on Tybee, Kristi’s ring slipped out of her pocket and fell straight into the ocean. Before she could reach down to pick it up, a wave lapped up, and it was gone. Thankfully, a nearby man with a metal detector saw their distress and helped them look that evening and then for a couple of hours the next day, too. (I like to think he had a ponytail, was wearing a short-sleeve button shirt down with a tropical print, and was humming “Margaritaville,” but that’s just me taking poetic license with someone else’s story.) They parted ways with Mr. Metal Detector, but they showed him a picture of the ring, gave them their number, and he said he’d call them if he heard or saw anything.
So they made the drive back to Ohio and resumed life as normal. I emailed Kristi their gallery almost two weeks later, and the response I received was unbelievable-- Mr. Metal Detector and his network of beach combing hippie friends (again, poetic license) had just FOUND THE RING. AND he called them. He offered to ship it to them, but with the postal system being extra flooded with business this time of year, they decided to make the trip back down and get their ring directly from him. Which meant that I got to see them again and share in their excitement and capture some gorrrrrgeous engagement+ring photos in Forsyth Park. You guys. If there was ever a time we needed a reminder to think outside of ourselves and be kind and love people, it’s now. I’m so thankful I was able to watch this story unfold and to capture the love and joy between Kristi and Andy and to discover there’s a secret army of Jimmy Buffett lookalikes wandering Tybee Island with metal detectors (again, poetic license).

Fun fact: My family used to reside in Forsyth Co, GA when I was younger and I had no clue who John Forsyth was.
I never imagined I’d move back to the state of Georgia in my life and at 24, I’m appreciating the little things that matter in life. Enjoying what this beautiful city has to offer, as well as learning about its history. #forsythpark#downtownsavannah#historyineverycorner
“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” Marilyn Monroe
I couldn’t agree more, Marilyn. None of us are perfect and never will be. Once you accept this, you will be so much happier in life. Accept who you are. You are imperfect and amazing. We all are weird and mad in our own way. Isn’t that what life is all about? Being your own you? Embrace the madness, it can be beautiful. The word boring wasn’t allowed in our house growing up. We were never allowed to be bored. My mom would say there is way too much to do and explore. You are never bored. Stand out, stand up, and be completely ridiculous. Trust me, if anything, no one will ever say I was boring in this life. And, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Let’s all be imperfect, mad, and ridiculous together ;)
Sorry I’ve been MIA y’all, just adjusting to some recent changes, here’s a boat load of pics from my trip as promised. Hope you beautiful people are doing well and are getting ready for the holidays. Stay warm ☺️💋
