What would you do if you got to the Gates of Heaven and some grumpy, old man told you, "You can't come in?" Melanie gets to find out that getting into Heaven, or even getting to her interview is not going to be as easy as she thought. Who knew you needed a number just to get a seat?

Have you been reading any holiday themed books?
Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday! I love everything about it! I love decorating the tree and wrapping presents. I love listening to Christmas music in the car and getting cozy on the couch to watch Christmas movies. I love Christmas baking and even reading Christmas books! .
I am actually taking a short break from my re-read of Harry Potter to enjoy this festive story! It sounds like a super cute holiday romance! I'll leave the synopsis below if you want to check it out. Let me know what holiday books you are reading. I'm always on the lookout for recommendations! .
Haley Hanson's idea of the perfect Christmas is escaping to the Caribbean to work so she can avoid all the traditional Christmas distractions. Over the years, she's sacrificed her personal life to climb the corporate ladder at a prestigious Boston advertising agency. Now she just needs to land a coveted Christmas toy company account to make partner. But first her boss thinks she needs a holiday attitude adjustment and ships her off to Christmas Camp at Holly Peak Inn to help her find her Christmas spirit. Arriving at the charming mountainside inn, Haley meets the owner's handsome son Jeff, and feels an instant spark, but resists the attraction, refusing to be distracted from her goal of doing all the required Christmas tasks as fast as possible so she can get back to work. At first Haley struggled with all the traditional Christmas Camp activities. It's not until she finally allows herself to slow down, live in the moment and let Christmas back into her heart that she begins to grow closer to Jeff. But when Jeff finds out Haley's come up with a plan to help his dad save the struggling inn while he's been trying to convince him to sell it, their relationship takes a serious holiday hit. Now it will take the magic of the season to bring these two hearts together. .
After Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov, my next venture into Dostoyevsky will be The Double, one of his very first novels. I also borrowed The Idiot from the same friend that lent me tbk, but now I'm worried that that was too hasty, I don't actually wanna read it yet!😩 it's the final "instalment" in the holy trinity of huge Dostoyevsky books. Maybe I should save it for a while, since I'm kinda scared I won't enjoy his lesser known works as much...
"If sad, eat cookie. If still sad, talk to doctor. Sounds serious." -Cookie Monster
I think this is sound advice. 😂 I am so excited for Christmas sugar cookies you guys! We always decorate them and it's so fun and they're so delicious. 😍 Do you make Christmas cookies?! Which are your favorites?
One of my goals for 2019 is to read longer books. I discovered that I haven't actually read that many books whose page count exceed 500 pages, most are between 200-300 pages. So, since I've found myself usually enjoying thick novels a lot and since I tend to put off reading them indefinitely, I thought some kind of challenge would be helpful!
