Enjoying a sunny day in November with a walk at Venwoude. I love how the sun plays with the yellow leaves on the trees and turn them into gold. I continue my walk and although I like the colour gold very much, it is the smell of the forest and the sound of the leaves under my footsteps that brings me back to présence and peace. #venwoude#lagevuursche#forestbathing#autumn
🍁Saturday 17th Nov at 13:00 in Amsterdamse bos: Forest Bathing & Nature Art Walk, a creative forest walk on a surprisingly hidden and intimate trail in Amsterdam Forest. Guided by myself and Keiko, my Japanese friend, art therapist and artist who also made a special set of hand-made forest tea cups for us! 🍁Monday 19th Nov at 13:00 in Zeist: Shinrin-yoku Forest Walk along a new and very different forest trail at Landgoed Heidestein in Zeist. Dancing yellow autumn leaves, dark green moss, beautiful trees and here and there the red berries of a female plant of Christmas holly! ☻

Oh, the layers of sweet, mud-covered nectar to be found when you stumble upon a swimming hole on a 35 degree day! We found these fallen combs, whose previous dwellers had moved house and left these to fall and lap at the muddy edge of the creek, or to be picked up by an opportunistic swimmer. Currently: round two of wax cleaning, and watching the bubbles of a wild yeast starter from the residual honey. I'm thinking a very special Australian bush salve with lemon myrtle and melaleuca will be in order... 📷@matty_hannon
Dragonflies are known to dance about the surface of this mesmerising freeform ‘living’ pool from our latest Queensland issue, which utilises an innovative bio-filtration system to purify the water. With a design inspired by the ancient swimming holes of the area, the pool blends beautifully with its pristine forest surrounds.
First snowy day of the season. We had about a week of fall between summer and winter it seems! I had just enough time to do my favorite Newtown Borough loop before the real snow started! Hope everyone made it home alright, it was very slippery and treacherous out there this evening!
