Thanks Dad for always being there for me and giving me the tools to be successful in this game of life. I love you. Kids, everyday is a new discovery and adventure. Thanks for bringing joy to my life. I love you. Father’s Day rocks - extra special when we can take the tractor out for a spin! #fathersday#ford8n
I'm predictably behind on the #gettoknowahomesteader June photo challenge; Tuesday's prompt was Tractor. I'm starting with our least glamorous but most used tractor, the little '80s Ford yard tractor with trailer that we fill up with dirt, gravel, firewood, poop, garbage, you name it, on the daily. Notice the nice garbage bag upholstery!
Next up is the finicky '80s Ditch Witch that we've been borrowing from a friend for the past three years. It's dug water and electric lines, excavated the foundation of our 'guest house' and pond hole. The '47 Ford 8N fixes our driveway, bush hogs the pastures, and cultivates and rows the gardens.
Lastly is the newest addition the the tractor team, the Kubota. So far that bucket has moved all kinds of stuff and drilled Post holes for our neighbor. Adam says it's saving him a ton of time and back pain. I say I don't want to hear about another tractor for a while 😉. @moderndaysoldways @atablefullinthewoods
Today’s #gettoknowahomesteader prompt is #tractor - so here is the newest member of our mini-homestead. She doesn’t have a name yet but she’s a Ford 8N that belonged to my husband’s grandfather. She didn’t run when J brought her home, but after some tinkering and new parts/fluids, she fires right up, and pulled a float in our Memorial Day parade last week.

Kelly and I had a lot of fun on this beautiful day with the new tractor we bought for the property. I'm not sure if she's stopped smiling yet, it's like the two were meant for each other 😁 #ford8n#brushhog
Been working the north .40 all day getting that all sorted out. Neighbor got the barn and needed to fence off the pasture for his horses. Bonnie (the red belly) worked its butt off all damn day. From drilling holes for fence posts, to scooping overburden into the neighbors abandoned ditch to moving all the fencing, it worked harder than that Case IH. I did have an axle nut loosen and took out a wheel seal though. Just goes to show just because it's old doesn't mean it's junk... Always happy memories of getting this thing in Murfreesboro TN! she went to live in Macon county for a bit, then to NM and finally here. #1950#1950ford#ford8n#redbelly#urbanfarm#northogden#tractor#pondscoop#boompole#auger#tennessee#murfreesboro#Utah#workhorse#heybabythanksforthetractor
