Turnip crisps anyone?
Confession...I'm a big lover of crisps! I try not to keep them in the house, simply because I'd munch my way through them. 😱 In a bid to steer away from the potato crisps, I experimented with these turnip ones. Well when you have the odd turnip hanging around, why not!
So simple.....wash and slice the turnips thinly and drizzle with oilve oil, paprika and seasoning. Place in preheated oven 220 ° and bake for approx 15mins. Keep an eye on them, so they don't burn.
They taste delicious!

Plans are meant to fail hence we IT professionals always believe in having backups in coding, in life!. Though working with a back-up plan, with the same positivity and perseverance is tough, blaming the situation and thyself is obvious human nature. Also, in life the probability of the backup plan failing is fairly high too.
So what do you do?!

Mini quiche di broccoli romani e salsa ai funghi.
1 Broccolo romano piccolo
1 rotolo Pasta sfoglia
100 gr ricotta
2 cucchiai di grana padano
200 ml di panna
1 confezione di funghi misti ( con porcini)
10 gr di porcini secchi
200 ml panna
2 cucchiai di grana padano
Pulite e tagliate finemente il broccolo, tagliate il porro a rondelle e in una padella fate fondere una noce di burro, aggiungete il broccolo, il porro, timo e maggiorana, fate saltare per due minuti a fuoco vivo, abbassate unite una tazzina d'acqua coprite e lasciate cuocere per circa 10/15 minuti. Spegnete e fate raffreddare, nel frattempo in una ciotola sbattete le uova, la panna, il grana e la riccotta, tagliate dal rotolo di pasta sfoglia dei dischetti e rivestite l'interno di un vassoio da muffin. Unite all'impatto di uova e panna il broccolo e porri e riempite le vostre quiche, cuocete in forno a 180 gradi per 15/20 minuti.
Nel frattempo fondente una noce di burro in padella mettete uno spicchio d'aglio e il sacchetto di funghi congelati e fate cuocere lentamente, fate rinvenire i porcini secchi in un po' di acqua tiepida, e lessate la patata in acqua salata. Prendete la patata mettetela in una casseruola, unite i funghi porcini e il mix di funghi e frullate il tutto unendo la panna il grana e il prezzemolo tritato (in caso fosse troppo denso aggiungete un po' di latte)aggiustate di sale e pepe e servite con la quiche.

✔️This recipe is super versatile. Feel free to add in extra veggies, greens, or even vegan cheese! I personally skipped the beans and guacamole, and opted sweet potatoes cos I like it. .
✔️If you wrap this meal in a tortilla, it becomes freezer-friendly, and really good to be a grab-and-go wrap! However if you want to freeze it, make your guacamole as a side dip, because it gets weird when its frozen. ⚠️if you want to reheat it, don't use aluminum foil cos they're not microwave-safe. Leave it open or use a parchment paper. .
✔️How I made the dip= blend (Sour cream + microwaved sweet potatoes + cilantro + lime zest) altogether. You can make it the #Mexican way too alternately by adding guacamole and salsa. Whichever makes your belly happy 😛😜😋
I’d like a repeat of yesterday’s lunch at @theselkirktooting right about now please 🙏. Our go to local place for a roast, pork belly with apple sauce and all the trimmings always ends up being the winning choice - though everything else looks so good too. (Fellow fodmappers - I just skip the Yorkshire pud and gravy!)

Nuremberg's Lebkuchen (gingerbread) is also since 1996 a product of geographical indication and it was first invented by Frankonian monks in the 14th century: Nuremberg was once located at the intersection of ancient spice and trading routes, so there was plenty of spices like cardamom,ginger,cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg as well as almonds available to make these delicacies ♥
This particular kind of gingerbread can be round or square, and can be covered in sugar or chocolate, but I like the "natural" version without couverture better 🎅🏼
Elisenlebkuchen must contain not less than 25% nuts (hazelnuts,walnuts or almonds) and not more than 10% wheat flour...but some of them contain actually none and are naturally gluten free. The square version might be a bit less refined and contain more chunks, but these cookies are normally super moist, soft, perfectly sweet&spicy.. I might have eaten my weight in Lebkuchen the past few days in Nürnberg but I regret nothing 👀
