WHY I NEVER WEAR A CROP TOP OR SPORTS BRA TO THE GYM
It used to be my goal. I wanted to be confident enough to wear a crop top or just a sports bra to the gym. I worked on that goal for MONTHS.
When I finally felt confident enough to wear just a sports bra at the gym, I found out that wearing a crop top or a sports bra to the gym was actually a pain in the butt.
My back stuck to the bench from sweat. I was constantly tugging on my sports bra to make sure everything was in place. My muscles got cold and tensed up more quickly.
All of which distracted me from my workout. Counterproductive to say the least.
But you know what the funny thing is?
If I had never set that goal and accomplished it, I would still be scrolling through social media envying the girls working out in crop tops and sports bras.
Learning and growing is part of the process. You don't have to be like everyone else.
If you want to feel confident enough to rock a crop top on date night but still want to wear your 10 year old cotton tshirt to the gym because it feels right, then girl I'm with you. That's me to a T.

The holiday season is also unofficially Brussels sprouts season. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself, "how do Brussels sprouts grow"? Me either, until I saw this @safeway the other day. Turns out that as the Brussels sprouts plants get taller, they trim the bottom leaves off and the sprouts grow on the stalk! Some stores carry stalks this time of year because they're in season. All you do is twist and pull the sprouts off the stalk (be aggressive!). It's going to make you feel closer to the earth.
Now roast those little sprouts! Cut them in half, toss with olive oil, salt & pepper. Roast on a sheet pan in a 425 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if you want to get fancy.

Can't believe I was able to accomplish it but I managed!
FINAL RECORD FOR THE 2018 SUMMER TOUR, 61-0!
Better yet, I won all my rematches on this trip too, which I thought I'd never get a chance to redeem myself!
Big part of this accomplishment was due to taking rest days, especially towards the end of the trip. Many people (including some fellow food fighters) don't realize how grueling these tours can get. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.
Day after day.
Challenge after challenge.
All the traveling.
All the extra food adventures that were totally uneccesary
But through it all, I'm grateful not only for reaching this goal (which I thought I was highly unlikely to obtain) but for everyone (old friends and new) who I met along the way!
So many amazing experiences it's truly hard to remember them all...
Which is why I tried my best vlogging during my trip. We'll see how that turns out. 🌟😅😅😅😁👍🌟
