Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a great night’s rest and are feeling good today! Once I got home from work, I got ready for bed, drank my nighttime tea, and headed to bed! I don’t think I it’s making much of a difference in my sleep, but I DO like how it tastes and it helps me with winding down, so I’ll take it! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel happy this morning and am ready to keep crushing my goals! I let myself wake up a bit and am now hungry for my breakfast! I’m trying something new in my oats this morning, but a LOT of people do it, so why not try!? I am having: oats (1/2 cup rolled oats + 1 Tbs. chia seeds, 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1/4 cup water + vanilla extract + cloves + cinnamon all left in a mason jar overnight) then heated in a pan with 1/3 cup diced cauliflower + 1/2 a mashed banana! I also added more cinnamon, again! That is all topped with @traderjoes almond butter, @purelyelizabeth granola, frozen raspberries, banana coins, and more cinnamon! 😍👅💦 The raspberries get all melty and delicious because of the warmth of the oats and it’s SOOOO good! 😛 Overall, I feel okay! I’m not sure why, but my anxiety has been a little high the past two days from the weekend and all that happened with the fire, so I’m trying my best to settle down, let myself have a minute or two, and know that I’m doing all that I can to get to where I need to be. Those few days caused my body a LOT of stress and that is, in fact, okay. It’s GOING to affect digestion, my sleep, and stress levels overall. All I can do is work towards fixing it. So, that’s what I will do. 💪🏻 As for now, I am off to enjoy my breakfast, pack up everything I need for lunch later, head to the gym, train, and then go over to my aunt’s house to eat and keep working on my cousin’s murals in their room! Let me know what you babes have planned! Social media has seemed to make everyone an expert when it comes to health and exercise. But look at those same people months later who swear by the latest diet- usually they are either heavier or trying another new diet. Pay attention to those who maintain and don’t demonize food groups. You will find that those people are usually happier with their bodies and are able to enjoy life without food guilt. A sweet and savory breakfast bowl is my go to breakfast by far 🤗 You can just make them with anything you’ve got on hand and that just makes things so easy 💯 Sundays are grocery shopping days so Sunday meals are always just whatever is left in the fridge 👌🏻 Luckily I keep this bread in the freezer so it stays good for a long time 😎 I also found a kiwi hiding in the back of the fruit drawer 🥝 So I made a cute little kiwi flower 🤗 The perfect easy breakfast 🍳 Full of healthy fats, carbs, and protein 🙌🏻 Heading to get ready for church, then doing typical Sunday things like grocery shopping and meal prepping 😌 Nothing too exciting over here! 1 cup of frozen raspberries, 1 scoop of @gardenoflife Vegan Vanilla protein powder, a few splashes of unsweetened almond milk, all blended up and then topped with chia seedssss!!! I also love adding frozen veggies like spinach, butternut squash, cauliflower, etc. to my smoothies when I need to get them in but don’t feel like having something savory or don’t have a ton of time on my hands. Adds an awesome little boost!!! 💓💓💓 I’ll never stop saying it: eat to nourish your body and mind. Be mindful about what you put into your body and fuel it to reach your goals! Food is information that directly affects how we function in our bodies and minds. It affects ALL things! Show your body love in all ways. Always. 🌷💓✨ -

So proud of you✨ // had ward round today and idk what to make of it, I'm allowed an hour on my own with my parents on Thursday!!😭 plus 2x escorted with staff in the week but then the Dr also spoke about compensatory behaviours and wanting me back on 1-1 and they want to increase my meal plan and I just can't deal with it all, I'm trying hard and complying and I can't afford to go backwards because I just want to get better, home and out of here for good. Feeling down and fed up and homesick but there's nothing I can do, only work hard to get closer to going home☹️ recovery isn't linear, gotta have the downs to appreciate the ups I suppose❣️

▶️ 1 slice olive sourdough toast @zakthebaker + sliced avo 🥑 + everything bagel seasoning + 2 crispy eggs fried up in a lil ghee 🍳 + Super crispy roasted potatoes (preheat oven to 450F, and season diced potatoes with avo oil, pink salt, pepper, paprika, dried thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder and bake for 25 minutes. Shut oven and let sit for 5-10 more minutes) .

If you’ve never tried mocha oatmeal... put it on your to-do list  asap 🤤. These were oat-mazing (haha) and that says a lot considering I’m a non coffee drinker 🤫😂. Here’s how you make:
1/2 cup rolled oats
Tbs chia seeds
Tsp cinnamon
1 scoop collagen powder (optional)
2 tbs coconut yogurt 
1/2 cup brewed black coffee 
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla 
Stir all of these together and soak overnight... you can eat them cold or heat them up... (I heated mine up.) I added strawberries, bluebs, banana, and pb on top. Have a happy Tuesday!!! 😊

This was my dinner at work last night, and y’all will not BELIEVE what happened while I was eating this. So, I work in a grocery store and we have a café and seating area where people can chill and eat and thats where I go on my break/lunch. So I’m sitting there, minding my own business, eating and looking on my phone, when all of a sudden this lady comes up to me. She comes super close and looks at what I’m eating and says “oh wow look at you eating all healthy. Except that rice, its no good for you, you shouldn’t eat carbs or you’ll get fat” THATS EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAID TO ME. And she starts going on and on about how her doctor told her not to have carbs and theyre super bad for you. I was shocked, I had no idea what to say except force a laugh and wait for her to go away. Part of me wanted to go OFF on her and be like “I’m recovering from a fucking eating disorder and thats really no way you should be talking to anyone”. Why would she say that to someone? What the fuck? She had no idea what she did to my mind. I was already having trouble eating the rice and she just made it 10 times worse. I didn’t eat any more of it and I threw it away. I cried in the bathroom and was upset the entire rest of the night at work. Like seriously? Are you fucking kidding me? People need to stop commenting on other peoples food and what theyre eating. No one besides YOU knows whats going on in YOUR life and theres no need to comment about other peoples choices, especially food. That really fucked me up. I didn’t even want to eat breakfast this morning. At least I have therapy today so I can talk to about it. Sigh, hope y’all are doing better than I am🙄

Breakfast today 🍓🍒🥒🍍
• Smoothies don’t fill me up for super long, they’re nice to hold me over for a little bit, so I made toast then this smoothie bowl for extra volume. It tasted like berries with chocolate because I used @arbonne chocolate protein powder 🤗. I topped with peanut butter granola for extra flavor.
• To make this chocolate berry smoothie: I add frozen zucchini pieces, frozen berry medley, and a few pieces of frozen pineapple & peaches to the blender. Then I add almond milk until it’s about 3/4 of the way to the top of the fruit. Next, I add my powders: PB2, chia seeds, and @arbonne chocolate protein powder. Blend it all up- it will get stuck a few times if you want it to be thick, so you have to shake it around a little. Top with granola or enjoy plain!!

When I was first diagnosed with depression, I didn’t fully understand the link between our mind and our gut. But the more research I did, the more I learned that our gut really is our “second brain”. Did you know that 95% of our seratonin is stored in our gut? 🤯 When I read that, it set sirens off in my head. 
I remember feeling super overwhelmed when I thought about healing my gut. I had previously been diagnosed with candida, but that kind of restrictive protocol didn’t bode well with my ed recovery. Peach! Freaking! Cobbler! Y'all don't know how MUCH I missed this treat! But this summer, I was determined to clean it up! So here it is, refined sugar free in all its peachy goodness! 🍑

Peach Cobbler
Serves 4
* 
2 lbs. Fresh peaches
1 cup Raw Honey
1 tsp Cinnamon 
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 powdered Ginger 
1 Gluten-free pie crust (recipe coming soon!), in pieces
*
Preheat oven to 350°. Slice and de- stone peaches and add all ingredients, save the pie crust, to a large pot and let simmer & cook for 20 minutes. Once ingredients have combined nicely, pour into casserole pan and top with crust pieces. Bake until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly. For an extra treat, top with your favorite milk alternative (I like pea or macadamia milk). Serve!

Pb is a huge fear again so I thought I’d challenge myself a little and have some on my toast!! I’m pretty proud of myself and I’m trying my best not to feel guilty.
As my sister has gone to my cousins tonight, me and my mum our having a lil movie evening!! It’s really nice as she goes on holiday Thursday so it’s just nice to spend an evening alone with her 😊
For dinner I have a bit of a challenge!! I have ravioli which I haven’t had for ages 😱 It’s a pre ed favourite of mine that I used to have all the time!! For those who don’t know it’s basically just filled pasta squares in tomato sauce 🍝 I’ll also have some salad 🥗 as usual 🤤
