Nachos - One of our favourite snacks to have when watching a movie, basketball game or, you know, just because 😜We don't really get to indulge in it much more lately since starting up on Keto, but it is so simple to put together, and delicious. Just take a bag of your favourite tortilla chips, grate your cheese(s) of choice onto them and then bake until bubbly. Then top with your veggies of choice (we typically do shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and jalapenos) and serve with some sour cream and salsa. The perfect snack to share with a group of friends. ~C

I got all this from the @betterhealthmarket in Shelby, with @daniellerd2b because she and I go there whenever we brunch at Le Ando’s since it’s right there and we’re a couple of dietetics dorks who love grocery shopping 💚 •
If you haven’t been to a Better Health store yet, you’re missing out! They’re a local health food store chain, they offer awesome discounts to members, like the 20% off on weekends we used on Sunday. They even have an app with a rewards system, and becoming a member is free. I love Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, but better health is the only health food store chain with locations in Macomb county, for the others I always have to drive at least half an hour, so I have a special place in my heart for Better Health stores 💕
I needed a big bowl of soup today and this hot the spot! I ordered the Brisket Pho Keto style which had the @miraclenoodle in it. The shiritaki noodles were just as satisfying as rice noodles without the blood sugar spike. The fried egg rolls are bigger than other Vietnamese restaurants and the flavors are on point. So thankful @vinasonphogrill opened up here in Sammamish! #seattlefoodie#miraclenoodles#shiritakinoodles#ketopho#sammamish#vietnamesefood
The best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies... courtesy of @la_vieille_ferme ! I tried these cookies at a local farm in Saguenay, Canada and was obsessed! The owner kindly gave me the recipe... they are amazing! All I did differently was use high quality organic/sprouted/grass fed/pastured ingredients that I had on hand! ♥️⬇️ . Cannot wait to come back one day & visit this magical place!
La Vieille Ferme Farm to Table Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪🍪 (makes 12)
1/2 cup @vitalfarms salted grass fed butter (room temp)
3/4 cup organic brown sugar
1 @vitalfarms pastured egg
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup @onedegreeorganics sprouted organic whole wheat flour
3/4 cup @onedegreeorganics sprouted organic oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup @enjoylifefoods dark chocolate chips
Combine brown sugar and butter & mix in the mixer. Add egg and vanilla. Mix again. Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder and soda together in a separate bowl. Add to the mixer and beat very gently. Add oatmeal and chocolate. Form dough in balls with a tablespoon and then flatten slightly. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown on top!
What better place to celebrate #NationalCurryWeek than in Birmingham in the West Midlands?!! 🥘 Known to be the curry capital of the UK, Birmingham is the original home of the Balti curry! 🇬🇧
Named after the traditional bowl in which it’s served, this delicious curry was first cooked up in Birmingham’s curry houses in the 1970s. Onions or tomato form the base of the curry, and every chef uses a slightly different combination of spices. Balti is traditionally served with Naan bread rather than rice, which is used to scoop up the food and wipe clean the bowl at the end 🤤
If you’re after authentic Asian tastes, sights and sounds, head to Birmingham’s famous ‘Balti Triangle’, an area of the city full of family-run restaurants, beautiful jewellers, colourful dress-makers and traditional sweet shops 😍✨
Have you ever tried a Birmingham Balti? 😋
Battle of the Burgers: In-n-Out 🆚 Shake Shack.
Being a West Coaster My heart wants me to say In-n-Out, but my belly says Shake Shack. I felt that the shake shack burger was a little juicier and meatier than In-n-out. The Shake Shack bun was softer and tastier. Cons: with Shake Shack - I’m more of straight French fry kind of person, Shake Shack French fries were the crinkle kind. PRO: not a fair comparison since In-N-OUt doesn’t have this flavor, but I order the coffee shake at shake shack and it was DE-LICI-OUS!!! Drooling as I type this.
PRO for In-N-Out: simple menu. Burgers, Shakes, Fries. Shake Shack just had too many different types of options that you could get overwhelmed.
Although rumor has it that Shake Shack is coming to Palo Alto sometime soon, I still will be keeping it true and eating at In-N-Out.
The burger on the left is Shake Shake Single burger, the burger on right is In-N-Out double double.
Here’s a toast 🥂, to brunch! 👌🏾. The Toasted Yolk has some great brunch options guys! Pictured here is the granola apple french toast🍞, definitely pairs well with some mimosa😉.
Mother nature may have dove right into winter, but @doritedonuts hasn't forgotten about the fall season with their newest flavor, pumpkin cake with brown butter glaze and pecans on top! Between this one and the usual pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, I'd have to say that this one is definitely superior.
What a colourful Lebanese lunch!!! The hake with burnt Urfa butter was delicious and the goosnargh chicken leg was just wow. Must visit if you're in Edinburgh and you like experimetal flavours 😀
PS: no I'm not a food blogger 😂
Nothing better than savory breakfast potatoes on a cold fall morning. This has mushrooms, garlic, spinach, a little bit of jalapeño and is topped with a drizzle of sriracha and sesame seeds. I added some avocado for healthy fat and avocado goes with almost anything 🥑🥑🥑
