Jeder weiß mittlerweile, dass etwa 95 % der tierischen Produkte in unseren Supermärkten aus der Massentierhaltung stammen. Aber dennoch blenden wir oft aus, welche Bedingungen dort für die Tiere herrschen und welche Folgen, dass für unsere Umwelt hat. Auch ich, erwische mich dabei, es manchmal irgendwie zu "vergessen", wenn ich mal Appetit auf ein "saftiges Steak" oder eine Scheibe Salami habe. Und im nahe gelegenen Supermarkt oder im Restaurant hat man oft gar keine Wahl zwischen Qualität und Billigware. Zwar rüsten Supermärkte mittlerweile auch in Sachsen Bio-Qualität auf, doch die Unterschiede sind auch hier gravierend. Lese ich dann wieder einen Artikel darüber, schäme ich mich zutiefst, überhaupt jemals tierische Produkte gegessen zu haben. 
Die Schuld an dieser Entwicklung sehe ich aber dennoch nicht beim Endverbraucher,  der nur kauft was ihm angeboten wird, sondern bei der Industrie, die aus Konkurrenzgründen zu solchen Mitteln greift und nur darauf aus ist, auf Kosten der Tiere, unserer Gesundheit und der Umwelt immer höhere Profite zu schlagen und auch bei den Gesetzgebern, welche solche Zustände dulden. Da sich daran wohl so schnell nichts ändern wird, liegt es nun in UNSERER Verantwortung. An unserem Konsumverhalten. Wir müssen darauf achten, wo die Produkte herkommen, welche Bio-Label welche Ziele verfolgen, wieviel tierische Produkte wir zu uns nehmen und vor allem, dass allen bewusst ist, welche Zustände auch in deutschen Ställen herrschen.

Der höhere Preis für Qualität ist egal, wenn die konsumierte Menge stimmt.

You can add so many delicious ingredients and make it different every time by switching veggies, salsa type, or even meats! (I used to do taco bowls when I was doing low dairy too. Just take away the sour cream and cheese and it’s still freakin delicious).

My bowl had grass fed beef from @butcher_box cooked with a little salsa and some Mexican spices, cauliflower rice (made from frozen), zucchini, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and avocado.

If anyone is interested my “Mexican spices” that I use in the beef is: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and heavy on the cumin and chili powder.

My head space is right but my body is stiff and stressed. I KNEW I had to wake up and make something great... RISE AND GRIND💪

So let me talk to you about PORTION CONTROL.... when I started my program I thought I didn’t have to portion my food out because I mean I studied Nutrition... I should know right? WRONG. I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. So I started using portion cups, and by golly I can have MORE FOOD than I thought! I used 3 small items for breakfast and the volume changed so so much! I try to have a protein packed breakfast with some fiber and a carb 🍳🥔🍓 (and sometimes a healthy fat but my avocado was brown🤷🏽‍♀️)

Healthy dinners aren’t always exciting but they can still be delicious!! This was leftover pork and we quickly and easily cooked the sweet potatoes and broccoli/pepper mixture in the oven.

For pork ingredients see two posts back but it was so good! The sweet p’s were cooked with avocado oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. The veggies are broccoli with yellow pepper cooked with avocado oil, garlic, and salt/pepper. Both cooked in the oven at 400 for 20 mins. A few extra mins for sweet potatoes.

Jakie trendy jutro podyktuje nam świat, internet czy tak zwane gwiazdy? Jak jutro każą nam wyglądać i co jeść, co będzie trendy a co obciachem? Co chwila nowe doniesienia o cudownych dietach gwiazd, genialnych produktach za miliony monet dzięki którym schudniesz w 2 dni, metamorfozach że aż zazdrość tu i ówdzie ściska. Na każdym kroku suplementy poprawiające twój wygląd, napoje dodające mocy i słodkie batoniki, które wręcz odchudzają. 
A gdzie w tym wszystkim zdrowy rozsądek, prawdziwe życie i przede wszystkim nasze zdrowie ? Kiedy zapanuje moda na zdrowe jedzenie i bycie świadomym konsumentem ? Kiedy bycie zdrowym będzie bardziej sexy niż bycie idealnie pięknym ? 
Tak sobie myślę, że albo to ja jestem dziwna, albo życie wokół staje na głowie. Chyba to jednak ja dziwaczeję, bo jakoś nie widzę masowego oburzenia na ściemy spożywcze, na zarabianie na niewiedzy ludzi, na niszczenie naszego zdrowia. Tym bardziej coś ze mną nie tak, bo chciałabym żeby każdy wchodząc do spożywczaka wiedział co kupować, a co omijać szerokim łukiem, co pomaga a co szkodzi, czy żywność fit rzeczywiście jest fit. 
Bo czasami warto wiedzieć:
* Że najlepszy spalacz tłuszczu to aktywność fizyczna, a nie tabletka.
* Że olej palmowy w nutelli to najgorszy syf, a nie naturalny dodatek. * Że dieta 1000 kcal to droga to wyniszczenia organizmu, a nie do schudnięcia. * Że insulinooporność to choroba, która bierze się ze złej diety, nie z powietrza. * Że nikt, poza nami samymi, nie ma interesu w poprawie naszej świadomości i zdrowia.
Dziś Europejski Dzień Zdrowego Jedzenia i Gotowania. Może to dobra okazja żeby zastanowić się czy szanujemy swój organizm i jemy zdrowo ? Czy żyjemy zdrowo ? Czy zwracamy uwagę na skład produktów ? A może jesteśmy w stanie coś zmienić w swoich nawykach ? Choć mały element, dziś jeden, jutro drugi i kolejny ... Ja zrobię rachunek sumienia i pewne korekty. A gdzie w tym wszystkim zdrowy rozsądek, prawdziwe życie i przede wszystkim nasze zdrowie ? Kiedy zapanuje moda na zdrowe jedzenie i bycie świadomym konsumentem ? Bo czasami warto wiedzieć: * Że najlepszy spalacz tłuszczu to aktywność fizyczna, a nie tabletka. * Że olej palmowy w nutelli to najgorszy syf, a nie naturalny dodatek. * Że dieta 1000 kcal to droga to wyniszczenia organizmu, a nie do schudnięcia. * Że insulinooporność to choroba, która bierze się ze złej diety, nie z powietrza. * Że nikt, poza nami samymi, nie ma interesu w poprawie naszej świadomości i zdrowia. Dziś Europejski Dzień Zdrowego Jedzenia i Gotowania. Może to dobra okazja żeby zastanowić się czy szanujemy swój organizm i jemy zdrowo ? Czy żyjemy zdrowo ? Czy zwracamy uwagę na skład produktów ? 🌭A processed meat is defined as meat that has been transformed through salting, curing, fermentation, smoking or other 
processes to enhance flavour or improve preservation. This includes bacon, sausages and hot dogs.

🍖In 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) published the classification of processed meat as ‘carcinogenic to humans’ (Group 1) based on sufficient evidence that consumption causes colorectal cancer. Red meat was classified as ‘probably carcinogenic to humans’ (Group 2A)
.
🚬Tobacco is also a group 1 carcinogen. This means that the evidence is equally as strong for the cause of cancer and not that smoking and eating processed meat are of equal risk. It's estimated that if everyone in the UK stopped smoking there would be 64,000 fewer cancer cases per year and if everyone stopped eating processed/red meat there would be 8,800 fewer cancer cases per year. Tobacco causes 19% of all cancers compared to meat which causes 3%.

🥓Meat is a good source of protein, b12, iron and zinc. The current advice is to limit intake to no more than 70g per day (which adds up pretty quickly: 1 Bacon rasher is 25g and 1 sausage is 30g!)

I ❤️ Süßkartoffel!
Diesmal habe ich sie mit einem leckeren, scharfen Pastinakenpüree kombiniert.

Dafür wascht ihr zunächst die Süßkartoffeln gründlich ab und piekst sie mehrfach mit einer Gabel ein (Vorsicht Verletzungsgefahr! 😱). Dann packt ihr sie für ca. 45 Minuten bei 180 Grad in den Backofen..
In der Zeit, schält und schneidet ihr etwa 6 Pastinaken und 3 Möhren in kleine Stücke. Diese röstet ihr in einer Pfanne etwas an, gießt etwas Gemüsebrühe oder Wasser auf und lasst sie weich garen.
Dann würzt ihr sie nach belieben. Super passt hier: Chili. Nun alles pürieren. 
Die Schoten schwenkt ihr separat etwa 5 Minuten in einer Pfanne, lasst sie aber "knackig". ... und dann könnt ihr auch schon die Kartoffeln aus dem Ofen holen und anrichten. 😊

Die Füllung reicht für ca. 3-4 Süßkartoffeln.
