Green Juice for Weight loss 🍍⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ok, now that I got your attention 👉🏼 I remember years ago the hype about green juices to loose weight, trying to explain to my friends that there wasn’t such a thing as a juice that will magically make them⠀
Loose weight, the reason why people loose weight while having green juices  is because technically if they replace a meal with a juice and let’s say for the purpose of this,  that their meal is 600 calories and the juice is only 30 calories, that's 570 calories less a day which of course if that’s maintained for weeks that will result in weight loss. ⠀

With that said, there are so many benefits in having green juices and depending in what you add to the juice you may feel leaner because certain veggies can help you get rid of excess water and the fiber will also help you to have regular bowel movements, I like to add to mines leafy greens, celery, cucumber, turmeric root, ginger root, maca, collagen powder, frozen pineapple or berries, mint, these are just a few 👌🏼⠀

Literally got home a pinch before midnight from work. Got myself situated and immediately grabbed my notebook, my laptop, my textbook and my study guide and I parked my tired ass onto my bed. Though nights like tonight where I would have loved to simply just shower and crawl into bed and knock out, I did what I always do because I know somewhere amongst the exhaustion, stress, irritation and headaches, there will be a much greater, useful and amazing outcome. Three hours later I’ve finally closed my textbook, shut down my lap top and slipped my study materials in between the pages of my book. My determination goes beyond reasons as to why my days and nights are set up the way they are. And even though now I’m exhausted and tired of studying, reading, midterms, finals and research papers, I consistently remind myself that this is an opportunity that I HAVE BEEN BLESSED with. Arrived in Sicily!! I went to see #caltagirone and we had an amazing lunch at Gusto e Arte, a little traditional place that serves cutting board full of typical food as salame, donkey mortadella and different variety of ham! Then we had lots of cheese and bruschetta!! I felt in love with the the table made with a mosaic of Caltagirone ceramics tiles!! If you go there I really suggest this amazing little Bistrot, perfect for the happy hour pr for a fast and tasty lunch/dinner! .

We drove around, took walks along to the ocean, tried cheese, and then stopped at The Marshall Store for lunch. Totally disclaimer, I won’t go near oysters 🙅🏽‍♀️ So that was all him! We are back in the city and I’m off to @soulcycle this morning 🚴🏽‍♀️💦 Getting my workout in before getting work done 👩🏽‍💻 and doing some day drinking with friends 🍹🥂 Because life is all about balance! TORTA ALLA FARINA DI MANDORLE
150g di burro
190g di farina
70g di farina di mandorle 
3 cucchiaini di lievito
1 pizzico di sale
270g di zucchero 
di canna integrale
3 uova
130ml di latte 
Fate sciogliere il burro e lasciate raffreddare. In una ciotola versate la farina setacciata con il lievito, la farina di mandorle ed il sale. In un’altra ciotola sbattete le uova con lo zucchero fino ad ottenere un composto gonfio e spumoso. Aggiungete gli ingredienti secchi e amalgamate. Versate il burro ed il latte mescolando delicatamente. Trasferite in uno stampo imburrato con buco nel mezzo e cuocete a 189 gradi per circa 50/60 minuti facendo la prova dello stecchino. Aprite lo sportello del forno e lasciate la torta per altri 15 minuti. 
Servite con glassa al limone! 😉

Spent a long weekend in Napa and SF with my parents 🍷 It was so great to get to see them and enjoy wine! Cabernet is my favorite type of wine in the entire world 😍 I don’t feel guilty spending a weekend drinking wine and eating cheese anymore! It’s really something that I’ve worked on and I didn’t even think about it until this post 😱 I’ve really started to change the way I approach food and exercise: doing what makes me happy! Relationship require work, requires to find the time in the middle of our goals and todo list to connect with each other, it requires  agreements,  at the end of the day relationship are like a “business ” where  success depends on communication, collaboration, respect and mutual investment after all two people are building a life together and creating the culture of the relationship ⠀👩🏻‍🔬

YOGURT, RABARBARO E FRAGOLE 🍧
450g di yogurt greco
300g di rabarbaro
200g di fragole
1 cucchiaino di zenzero grattugiato 
2/3 cucchiai di miele
1 cucchiaio di semi di papavero 
Lavate la frutta, tagliatela a pezzetti e versate in una teglia con il miele e lo zenzero mescolando bene.
Cuocete a 190gradi per circa 20 minuti o fino a quando il rabarbaro risulterà morbido. 
Fate raffreddare e riempite dei bicchieri o coppette alternano strati di yogurt a strati di frutta. 
Servite con semi di papavero.

¼ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder⠀⠀
2 scoops of plant based protein (if using whey, use just one)⠀⠀
¼ cup of plain or vanilla  greek yogurt ⠀⠀
3 eggs ⠀⠀
¼ cup of granulated stevia⠀⠀
⅓ cup of unsweetened almond milk⠀⠀
1 teaspoon of baking powder⠀⠀
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract⠀⠀
¼ teaspoon of salt ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Preparation⠀⠀
Make oat flour by processing the oats in the blender until flour consistency.⠀⠀
Preheat the oven to 375 F and spray with oil the donut pan, you will need two pans or do two separate batches.⠀⠀
In a medium bowl mix dry ingredients⠀⠀
In a separate bowl mix the wet ingredients⠀⠀
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, whisk until well combined⠀⠀
Pour batter evenly into the donuts tin and bake for 15-18 minutes⠀⠀
Make sure they are ready by sticking a wooden stick in the middle, if it comes out dry, these are ready.⠀⠀
Let them cool for at least five minutes.⠀⠀

Cajun feasting for dinner 🤤🤤 I have always loved Cajun/creole food! So I cooked up some andouille chicken sausage with red onion and jalapeño, roasted sweet mini peppers 🌶, and made Cajun potatoes 🥔 Strong believer that Cajun food is good for the soul and today was all about me! I took today to rest, take a workout class I enjoy, eat yummy food, get personal work done, and get job work done. It was exactly what I needed. I even went for a walk before making dinner. Sometimes we just need a day for ourselves and I took it! I really can’t remember the last time I did since I’ve been constantly pushing myself since January. Especially since we live in a world of constant go go to 🏃🏽‍♀️On the menu for tonight is a little studying and Gilmore Girls with popcorn 🍿

For breakfast, I usually stick to egg white veggie omelettes (my fave) 🍳🍅 or pancakes 🥞 Lunch is usually leftover dinners I’ve made or a make a slight variation of similar things all at once! This week I did burrito bowls 🤤🤤 I used a GF brown rice base, chicken, zucchini, red onion, yellow pepper, tomato, avo, and leftover salsa 🌯🥑 Easy and delicious! Happy Tuesday 🤗🤗 .

I kept telling myself that I didn’t have the talent neither the credentials to go after what I wanted to do which was develop healthy recipes and do food photography ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was afraid of what people including my friends, were going to think/say about me sharing my recipes on social media, I thought they were going to make fun of me, think I was stupid and/or not talented
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It took me months to take the courage to post my first picture (swipe right to see it), months were I was already creating recipes and taking pictures but always talking myself out of sharing them ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Until finally one day, exactly one year ago I didn’t think much and just hit the button “share” I remember texting my mom and my close friends saying “ I posted my first food picture 😱” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And just like that it has been a year of sharing recipes,  of learning a lot about nutrition, food and photography, of growing as a person every time I get out of my comfort zone, of meeting incredible people here and outside of IG thanks to this platform, a year of generating  income because of my passion ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wanted to share this to motivate you to get out of your comfort zone, to follow your passions, to help others with your talents without thinking about what you will get from it, to not caring about what others think or say of you because you have a responsibility with yourself to be happy, to get better, to learn...

Happy one year anniversary to my recipe development journey 🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I kept telling myself that I didn’t have the talent neither the credentials to go after what I wanted to do which was develop healthy recipes and do food photography ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was afraid of what people including my friends, were going to think/say about me sharing my recipes on social media, I thought they were going to make fun of me, think I was stupid and/or not talented ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It took me months to take the courage to post my first picture (swipe right to see it), months were I was already creating recipes and taking pictures but always talking myself out of sharing them ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Until finally one day, exactly one year ago I didn’t think much and just hit the button “share” I remember texting my mom and my close friends saying “ I posted my first food picture 😱” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And just like that it has been a year of sharing recipes, of learning a lot about nutrition, food and photography, of growing as a person every time I get out of my comfort zone, of meeting incredible people here and outside of IG thanks to this platform, a year of generating income because of my passion ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to share this to motivate you to get out of your comfort zone, to follow your passions, to help others with your talents without thinking about what you will get from it, to not caring about what others think or say of you because you have a responsibility with yourself to be happy, to get better, to learn... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make the decision today to live and make decisions out of love and not to be stopped by fear ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy Sunday 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I paired it with sautéed spinach, green pepper, and red onion 🍲 This took less than 5 minutes to make! If I had a dollar for every time people have told me “ I don’t have time to cook”  or “healthy food is expensive ” I would be rich... or almost 😂 and while I understand that everybody is busy, I often ask them “do you have time to scroll on your IG feed for 20 minutes a day or to watch TV?” If so, then yo do have time to cook, but cooking requires work while being on social media or watching TV doesn’t, that’s the real issue, that we associate cooking with work and not pleasure ⠀

While being healthy doesn’t require you to cook all of your meals, it would help  to know for sure what you are eating and from which sources you are getting your food, because food not only affects the way we look, but also the way we feel and the way we perform in life⠀

Boat, sunshine, and yummy drinks were the theme of my weekend 🏞🍹So ready to be back on track with trial starting this week though 👩🏽‍⚖️ Made this using shrimp, green pepper, green beans, red onion, brown rice, and coconut aminos 🍛 All about easy and delicious! After drinking and indulging, my body craves veggies so this consisted mostly of those 😋 It really is all about balance and listening to your body! Garlic bread has my heart ❤️May have set off the fire alarm making it because it hates when the oven is on 🙄 Had this after a super productive day! Cooked some chicken breast, @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi, red onion, and spinach in EVOO and tossed with @traderjoes vegan pesto 😋 Made some sourdough garlic bread because it sounded soooo good 🤤Easy and delicious dinner with leftovers for lunch! Making a double serving for dinner helps me to eat healthy when I go to work 👩🏽‍💻 Happy Monday 🤗🤗 .

Oggi eravamo invitati a pranzo e così ho pensato di portare un dolce. Ero un po' indecisa sul tipo di dolce da fare. Fa caldo e l'idea di accendere il forno mi scoraggiava un po'. Quindi che fare? Un tiramisù ai frutti di bosco? Una mousse al mango? Ma sono delicati, vanno tenuti freddi e il viaggio potrebbe rovinarli. Cosi alla fine mi sono consultata con la mia carissima amica @shanty_la_gatta che mi ha suggerito di fare una galette. Alla fine ho optato per una pasta brisée con crema pasticcera, pesche lamponi e ribes rossi. La galette non l'ho mai fatta e me la tengo da sperimentare.

🍏🍓🍏 Ψαρονέφρι σήμερα, έτσι για την αλλαγή 👇

Ψαρονέφρι μαριναρισμένο με λαιμ και δυόσμο & ρύζι ταυλανδεζικο με βούτυρο καρύδας 🆕🆕🆕 Αυτό το πιάτο έχει τόσα αρώματα που σε αφήνουν διακριτικά μια εκλεπτυσμένη γεύση. 
Υλικά για το κρεας (σάλτσα) : • Χυμός από 1 λαιμ • Χυμός από 1/2 λεμόνι • 1 κ.σ λευκό κρασί • 1 κ.γ δυόσμο (ξερό ή φρέσκο)
• 1/2 κ.γ μουστάρδα απλή • Αλάτι/πιπέρι 
Ανακατεψτε όλα τα υλικά μαζί και έπειτα προσθεστε το κρεας μέσα στη σάλτσα. Μετά ψήστε μέχρι να πάρουν ένα χρυσαφενιο χρώμα. 
Κάτι απλο για να πάει καλά το Σαββατοκύριακο.
