“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” - Swami Vivekananda

👩💻👨💻Don't schedule another thing on your calendar till you've read this👩💻👨💻 *Tag someone who’s got a busy calendar*
I think too many people treat their calendars like they do their desks — they clutter them full of tasks and meetings with no major purpose or thought given to what is actually going on there.
But let me give you a secret—you are in full control of what’s on your calendar, just like you are in control of what’s on your desk.
So before you schedule another meeting or accept another invite, think about these three things to make sure your calendar is working for you, and not the other way around. 🤔 1) Do I have a clearly defined goal I’m trying to accomplish?
Here’s the deal—you need goals; not tomorrow, not next week, but today. If you’re not setting goals you’re not maximizing your calendar or your leadership. Get in the habit of setting 1-2 key goals for the week. You’ll be amazed at how that simple habit will launch your leadership to a whole new level. 🤨 2) Does this calendar item help me accomplish my goals?
It’s really that simple—if the calendar item isn’t helping you accomplish your goals, then why are you doing it? High-level leaders are ruthlessly disciplined in aligning their calendars with their goals. If it’s not driving you forward, then don’t feel guilty about saying no. 🤑 3) If I put this on my calendar, will I still have margin for the unexpected?
You can’t predict the future, and you shouldn’t put that pressure on yourself. You have to give yourself the margin to explore that random opportunity, or face that unexpected emergency. Get in the habit of leaving time on your calendar specifically to move things around when the unexpected strikes. ————— Don’t forget to grab a copy of my free Ebook, Maxed Out Goals — it’s full of tips to help you learn how to set goals and bring your organization to the next level! A couple of months after my daughter was born, I caught the entrepreneurial itch. I wanted to use my gifts to help solve problems for other people. The fact that people were willing to invest in my services to scale their business or get heir story told was was satisfied me.
There are times when I see the work of a brand strategist that is far superior to mine, with a clientele far more established than mine and I’ll get intimidated— but I never quit. I can’t quit while my daughter is watching. Next to her, I have to be my own biggest fan.
When you choose to defy the complacency of being solely dedicated to building someone else’s empire for survival, you must become a slave to your own ambition. Your job is to reach more people, created more tools/products and make sure you’re securing compensation that will make the sacrifices well worth the struggle.
Sometimes people ask what I do for work. Well, ostensibly, I am fabricating things like furniture and sets, but in reality a good deal of my time is spent drawing hot dogs in whatever dust is available. #dustydogs 🌭
💥TO CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE CHANGE YOUR BEHAVIOR! 💥
What will you do this week to work on developing a better attitude? 🔥
Instead of trying to hide negative thoughts about yourself, why not work on changing your attitude about yourself? ⚡
So try something this week that you’ve never done before – something that’s a little scary – but you know you can do it. 🔥
When you live through it, you’ll see that it wasn’t that bad. ✨And next time you do it, it will be easier… and the time after that, it will be great! 🙌
When you try something scary and survive, you begin to gain confidence and change the beliefs you have inside. 🙌
You begin to develop a better attitude. 🙌
With a great attitude anything is possible. Your potential is limitless..... 😀
Happy Monday!!! 👊

It’s a new week. You have a choice to make it a good or bad one!
Looking at things in a more positive light has really changed how I view life and the things that happen, whether it’s good or bad. I noticed I’m able to handle situations way better than I would have if I didn’t change my mindset, whatever those situations may be. Life is way too short, that has really stuck with me over the past year or so and as I get older it keeps proving to be so true.
Sit back and think about what you’re grateful and blessed for today. Stop focusing on the negatives because more than likely the positives outweigh the negative. I even need reminded to do this sometimes ... trust me!!
