Ever since I was a child I’ve always dreamed about fitting into one of these compartments but every single person told me it was impossible. Airlines are condensing their storage space to make room for more seats, they said. Harrison Ford specifically said to get off his plane, they said. There are just too many mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane, they said. Well today, I made that dream a reality. Never give up on your dreams, kids. Anything is possible if you just rotate your hips, squeeze through the doubt, and literally push into the finish line. *UPDATE* new dream: getting out of this cramped space before both my legs go to sleep // 📸 caught by @kmreeves // #followyourdreams#stuck#snakesonaplane
My husband just shared this picture with me from this weekend. My stepson loves to laugh but it’s hard to get him to pose for pictures—so the candid picture is the best way to catch him in action. I’m so lucky to have an amazing little family—I’ve never wanted kids so a stepson is the perfect amount of “kid” in my life haha 😂 I’m also SO blessed to be able to not only have a passion, but to be able to follow it! Thank you all for helping my dreams come true! 🙏🏻
Xóchitl Montoya, a current student in the Post Graduate Culinary Management Program, came to study at Selkirk College from Mexico City. After travelling to Canada and visiting Nelson, she promised herself that she would one day live in the small town that was rich in culture and art. “Nelson is one of those places that exists where the community is conscious of the effects, both social, political and environmental, of having chain stores that could disrupt a society that supports local and organic farms. It is a place where farmers grow their own gardens and offer products at local markets; a place where artisans and gardeners meet.” Xóchitl was excited about the Post Graduate Culinary Management program as it contained three key components that she valued - practical training, management classes and a work term experience. She says that these components gave her a wider view of the industry as well as more options for her professional future. “I won something very valuable during my practicum. Confidence. Cooking is more than just coming up with a good dish. It is a sum of work and personal skills and talents that need to be developed.” Xóchitl expressed that Selkirk College offers what students need in terms of facilities, equipment and small classrooms, which allow instructors to help students’ individual situations and needs and allowing them to succeed. “Studying at Selkirk College is not everything,” she explains. “Getting along with other students is important in having a friendly environment. The college organizes social events so you can meet new people and go on trips. Visiting the ski resort is another place where you can have a great time interacting with other people outside of school.” Xóchitl plans to graduate and move to a bigger city where she can get a job in a large company where she can further explore her culinary skills and build a successful career in her industry. “My message to other students would be to encourage them to explore the world. Explore your limits and when you think you have found them, don’t stop. Instead go beyond." #studyincanada#selkirkcollege#followyourdreams#postgradculinarymanagement
When I first started managing @jazzmorley , I asked her where she dreamed of performing. Without hesitation she said the @royalalberthall . This week, through lots of hard work and determination, Jazz will realise her dream by taking to this iconic stage on Wednesday and Thursday night to support Rodriguez. Here's to never giving up and chasing your dreams ❤️

Oh hey there cutie, we have our sights set on you! This was one of last year's #breastwishesball ambassadors. Pint sized insta famous @pipersienna I instantly had a connection with this little darling and she will forever hold a special place in my heart. This community project is about them - her, my daughter, your daughter, your sons and creating change so that one day, breast cancer won't be such a huge issue in their lives. Not only that, I want to show them that they are enough, they can create their own community of support too and they can make a difference in this world! Breast Wishes Ball is the perfect parents night out, you get to have a ball and the little ones benefit from it...have you got your tickets yet? Oh and stay tuned...my bestie over at @lovehenryboutique and I are hatching another plan to fund breast cancer research! Ticket link in bio 🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃

Behind the scenes (kinda) of performing at @nocturnalwland !! I love performing at festivals like these... because I used to be on the other side of that railing watching the performers saying... “I’m going to do that. That’s going to be me one day” and here I am! ❤️❤️ #followyourdreams#goforyourgoals#nevergiveup
If it wasn’t for Facebook, I probably wouldn’t know that Saturday marked my fifth year of playing shows.
Five years ago, I played my first show ever on the small side stage at Pop’s.
Fast forward to Saturday night, I was able to play the main stage to a packed house.
It’s tough to believe sometimes because I have so much more to do. However, it is nice to stop and appreciate where you came from.
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me, no matter how big or small, I greatly appreciate it!
I’m excited to see what the next five years have in store!

8. “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
