The grapes I planted when I started my job 4 years ago are overflowing with grapes for the first time. Its hard not to lose sight of the benefits of the hard work when you have a million irons in the fire and always on to the set the next one. Little things like this are a helpful reminder to enjoy it!
Already dreaming about the wine we are going to make with these and all the grapes @feathersandflesh and I picked at ol’ @dogcreekfarm.
My homemade Dandelion Wine is finally bottled! I picked the petals one by one and stared at the demijohns daily as they fermented. After a wee sample I can say that this definitely packs a punch. Tastes mildly bitter with a citrusy note. Small hunch this is going to age very gracefully after the next few months. ☀️🌼🌱🥂#wine#folkwine#frugal#homemade#homemaker#pnw
I could not be more pleased with how our plum ginger table wine came out, another batch in the works here @dogcreekfarm ! We also bottled and enjoyed a damn fine blueberry wine with bluebs from our friends @swiftcreekberryfarm. The calendar is now filled with bottling dates and when to start new batches.
Life is good folks!
