Drawing inspiration from other photographers work has helped so much in growing my own style of shooting. Three photographers have particularly had a huge impact on me. They are @anseladams, @chrisburkard and @mrbenbrown.
Ansel Adams inspired me to go out there and shoot. In his time taking a photograph meant lugging around kilos and kilos of gear and hours of thinking/dreaming about that one shot. Which you may or may not great. He didn't have Google or Instagram like us to look up spots and plan them but even though he had so much of a disadvantage compared to us these days. His photographs are an absolute miracle.
Chris Burkard inspired me to shoot with a purpose and story to my photographs. He made me ask "Why am I taking this?" or "What am I gonna do with this after I've taken it?". His photographs always left me speechless but when he combines it with his writing, that is just out of this world.
Ben Brown inspired to have fun while I was shooting. Ben always had a positive attitude and great work ethic that made me realize if you don't really enjoy taking photographs, you'll eventually burn out and not be happy about your work.
These three legends have changed me and the way I work. Who is your inspiration? Comment below ✨
More of Trang An's out-of-this-world beauty. The area feels like an inland Halong Bay, with its soaring limestone cliffs. Calm rivers snake through these cliffs and as we paddled our way slowly through with a small bamboo boat, I couldn't help but gawk at the scenery.
