If you make the time you can actually eat some really great food on the fodmap diet. 🥩 🐠 🍅 But it does require a bit of searching around supermarkets and creativity in the kitchen...be fair to say it tested my patience quite a bit...how are you finding the diet if you’re on it?

Being on a restrictive diet means I am not able to have my favourite breakfast- Oats😩 Yesterday I was really craving something different than eggs or chia pudding for breakfast so I came up with this mug cake recipe and it totally hit the spot! 😎👌🏼 RECIPE:
•2tbsp coconut flour
•1tbsp cacao powder
•1/8tsp baking soda and baking powder
•1 egg
•1/4cup of almond milk.
•2 drops of liquid stevia

Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then add everything to a mug and microwave for 1.5-2mins. Add toppings and enjoy! 🤤
I will be having this for breakfast all week for sure! 😅
P.S. This mugcake is not sweet at all, my tastebuds have change over time  and I enjoy it being like that, so if you have a sweet tooth I would suggest adding a tbsp of maple syrup or sweetener of your choice to it 😋 •

One tip I would give from experience, don’t go food shopping hungry 🙈 this happened to me & after seeing everything I couldn’t have but wanted I had a mini breakdown like a kid in a sweet shop who gets told they can look but not touch 🙈🙈. Thankfully I spotted some GF rolls, along with GF breaded ham & made this epic roll (I’ve always been a sucker for any type of sandwich/roll/baguette 😍) Does anyone else get to this stage & eat stuff they know will upset their tummy just because of the crave? A few years back this would be me but now I feel like I have it a lot more under control & try to think of fodmap alternatives for my cravings.. I mean I think my face in this photo says it all 😂.

It dawned on me recently that now I’m dairy free I’m potentially not getting enough calcium 😱. Whilst a lot of non dairy milk are now fortified, most of them that I found here have added sugar, which is a big no no for me! 😖. Really loving having bliss balls on hand as a snack for when I want something sweet after dinner 🤗 these aren’t low FODMAP but still delicious and all natural ✌🏻
You just need to blitz up the following in a food processor:
⚡️ 1/4 cup desiccated coconut, plus some extra for rolling
⚡️ 1/3 unsalted peanuts
⚡️ 5 medjool dates, chopped
⚡️ Pinch of pink salt
⚡️ 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder

Raw chicken is not as nice looking as cooked chicken, but this is what my chicken looks like seasoned with #fodmapfriendly FODMAP @paleopowder. These blueberry lemon muffins are based on the maple bacon muffins over on @fedandfit, but I swapped 1 cup blueberries for the bacon, added the juice and zest of a lemon, and then made a little crumble to put on top to make them a little more like the coffee shop muffins I always want so much!

🙌🏼 for acorn squash scramble. I tried adding egg whites and it didn’t go well. My friend reminded me that even though I can’t add it back now I may be able to in the future. It’s a great thing to look forward to but for the right now I’m happy for squash. Roasted acorn squash sautéed with proteins like bacon and chicken feel like light scramble that gives me more energy than egg scrambles really ever did. This time I added shaved celery, roasted coconut and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.

What type of takeaway is most awkward for your dietary requirements? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Gluten makes a lot of Chinese food a no-go for me, but onion and garlic make nearly all Asian dishes off-limits, plus most Indian dishes too 😞 On the other hand, fish and chips is perfect for me as long as they do gluten free batter in a separate fryer - so I can’t complain! Fortunately, Mark will be helping me to make more Chinese-style dishes gluten free and low FODMAP for the foreseeable future 😄 Let me know if there’s any other dishes you miss!
