Gozando 🌴✨ Finally got to visit this beautiful beach that I call home. Currently on my way to @sergiosrestaurant to munch on some croquetas and probably something from the “La Flaca” menu cause #balance . What’s your favorite thing about visiting home? Mine is my fam, the beach and a mix between Cuban food and ceviche hahaha. .
I’m still figuring things out when I travel but I do want to share a bit about my experience and how I try to stay on track with my workouts. My idea of vacation is yes enjoying it to the fullest but also taking advantage of little breaks to get a training session in. With that being said, I’ve been training hard this week so today I’m taking it as a rest day since we woke up super early to hit the beach and I’m tired AF. I also never feel any guilt whatsoever if I miss a training day or if I enjoy a croqueta because life is about enjoying the small things and eating one croqueta isn’t going to make me gain weight. Happy Thursday everyone!

Y’all, when I tell you that running has saved me over the past year! 🙌🏾 You just don’t know! It’s given me goals. It’s filled me with fear that I’ve conquered. It’s been my escape from my own head at times. Yet the whole journey has been a complete surprise! If you’d have told me 3 years ago I’d be training for my 2nd marathon, I’d never have believed it!
And what’s great about it is there’s no requirement! Rich/poor, old/young, slow/fast. You just lace up, walk out your door and go! What a blessing it’s been! Are you a runner? Share your favorite part about running ⬇️

Sometimes we have to adjust our focus. Sometimes the route we planned veers of course. Sometimes things take exceedingly longer than we’d like. I couldn't manage my way through all 3 rounds of the @toneitup daily moves today. Called it quits after 2 rounds, but I did a 30 minute method class with @flywheelsports. My shoulder injury isn't completely healed and was extra aggravated tonight.
The journey continues tomorrow.
