#111daystogo I haven’t shared much about my practicing for a couple of weeks because I’ve been dealing with a lot of self doubt, stress, and just an overall pretty pessimistic frame of mind. I think it’s really easy for perfectionists to get caught in cycles like this! I’m working through it and will push through to the other side. 💪 A few years ago a mentor gave me a piece of advice that I try to remember: “Art is imperfect. Music is imperfect. If you can’t handle imperfections, quit the arts and become an accountant!”
There are days when you'll get bored of the things you usually do. You'll get tired. You might loose a charm in doing the things which you do daily. You'll continue doing the things just because they have become a routine... Might be because you're getting paid for that... Might be because , there's an image of yours to the whole world , and you gotta protect it by continue doing the same.. You might feel, how your genuine your problems are and you would find hundred excuses for yourself for not being what you exactly wanted to be.. Let me tell you, this is perfectly normal.. It happens.. Let that be.. But, you would be the biggest fool, if you continue with the same.. Oh come on...look out... Take a break... Meet new people... For that matter just catch any random city bus conductor or any random cobbler or any random vegetable seller or any random person on the streets.. listen to his story.. You'll know how tiny your things actually are🙂.. Take up a hobby.. Go for it.. Go take that vacation.. be with yourself...climb a mountain or go to a beach, be alone... Experience the breeze... Listen to the music... Let that music and breeze go through every inch of your body... Switch off your phone ..Forget everything.. just listen to the sound of waves.. Sound of birds... Sound of silence.... sound of your breath coming in and going out... Feel evry bit of it...be with that moment.... A happy life consists in a tranquility of a mind. The more peace you would have, greater your power for doing good will become..., It's neither wealth nor splendor, but tranquility and state of mind would give you happiness.. . And remember, tranquility is a choice and so is anxiety. The entire world around you may be in turmoil, but if you want to be peaceful within, you can .. And once you experience this bliss.. tranquility... Go back to your life, and resume ... Hopefully you'll find everything back at its place...All fine..All good🙂
