There’s two reasons for this post; to (re)tell y’all about the most renowned diet hack, and also to inform you of a new obsession I have. 
1️⃣ Y’all know the drill; low kcal, high protein craving-buster snack of 0% fat Greek yoghurt, 50g berries {I defrost frozen ones cos extra sauce n all dat fun stuff} and 15g peanut butter. I flavour my yog with @myproteinuk mocha flav drops cos they taste bomb n don’t even @@@ me about being able to stomach the stuff without a lil something to sweeten it. 
2️⃣ Ok, so is anyone else the sort of person who has 174 different tubs of nut butter open? Yeah, me too. So, even though @seals_cinnamonstory bought this for me at the end of last year I was determined to save it and actually use up the ones with the broken seals first. 
BUT, OH MY GOD. You guys this is not. a. drill. It honestly tastes like crack and I’m gonna put it out there: best peanut butter I’ve ever had🤷🏼‍♀️
If you don’t know about this nut butter, you’re just gonna have to accept that 175 open jars is enough and go and try it ASAP. Thank me later huns x

I think most of us have a problem with loving ourselves because no matter what we do, we think we are never worthy enough. There’s always something we want to change or hide, so that we don’t risk being judged by others. We think that showing ourselves compassion is laziness, because we are letting ourselves off the hook. We think that challenging ourselves for something different is wrong because we are most likely to face disappointment.

I’m all about loving myself whatever my weight and my appearance but I have to say that seeing myself these days in the mirror is hard. Seeing how destructive and powerless I am kills me and sometimes the last thing I want to do is play strong and pretend that I don’t feel sorry my very unfortunate and unfair situation. I never asked for any of this and life hasn’t been easy at all during these last months.

That is why I live for these moments. I may not treat myself with fancy clothes or some new @lululemonausnz leggings, but I choose to show love to myself by going out with people that care about me for who I am and not how sick, skinny and weak I may look like.

Also, it’s Thursday already!! This week has flown by compared to last week - I get to pack my case tonight then only one more night here and I’m back home and back to normality. No more supermarket ready meals. I feel like I’m gonna hit training and nutrition seriously hard when I get back. I’ve missed all my stuff! Can’t wait to get back into it properly.

Anyway, excuse the poverty lighting but I threw this bowl together in my hotel room last night. I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d miss the food styling and photography stuff so much! Haven’t been able to do it properly for almost two weeks. I wanna get back to taking sick shots every night but until then, this’ll do! Pretty decent bowl to be fair.

This was two @quakeroatsuk instant oat pots, with some @fageuk 0% yoghurt mixed in, topped with that @phdnutritionuk dark choc raspberry smart bar (more bars need dark chocolate, this guy is a BANGER!), some @meridianfoods PB and some raspberries! The instant oats aren’t as terrible as I’d have imagined but get me home for some stove top action already!😢

I feel like I’m gonna hit training and nutrition seriously hard when I get back. I’ve missed all my stuff! Can’t wait to get back into it properly. . Anyway, excuse the poverty lighting but I threw this bowl together in my hotel room last night. I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d miss the food styling and photography stuff so much! Haven’t been able to do it properly for almost two weeks. I wanna get back to taking sick shots every night but until then, this’ll do! Pretty decent bowl to be fair. . This was two @quakeroatsuk instant oat pots, with some @fageuk 0% yoghurt mixed in, topped with that @phdnutritionuk dark choc raspberry smart bar (more bars need dark chocolate, this guy is a BANGER!), some @meridianfoods PB and some raspberries! The instant oats aren’t as terrible as I’d have imagined but get me home for some stove top action already!😢 . (Entire bowl) 📊769kcal | 85C | 28F | 49P
TRIGGER WARNING! Recovery has been so tough lately. More often than not I wake up feeling disgusting. I feel like I've gained SO much weight and like I HAVE to exercise in order to burn off calories. However, I now recognize my disordered behavior and do the complete opposite. If my mind tells me "Starve", but my body is hungry I eat. If my mind tells me "Exercise to burn calories", I meditate and if I actually WANT to workout then I do so, if not I skip the workout altogether.  It is so important to listen to our bodies and not so much our "mind", because in recovery our minds are not yet healed and can veer us back into an unhealthy lifestyle. Love yourself more than your external appearance. Make peace with who you are and eventually those demons will vanish. I truly believe full recovery is possible. I don't want to be in recovery forever, I want to recover for life. My life. My loved ones lives. 
Made these Cookie Dough Brownie Bars (recipe by @nadiashealthykitchen) and needless to say they are absolutely DELISH!! .

I think there are two main different types of people that go to the gym.

The ones that train to actually feel the muscles and see exercise as a mean, something, to get results. And the ones that just want to work up a sweat.

Of course you can have both sides. And, for some of you, sometimes the only thing that you want to do is stay at home and not be bothered to go to the gym for a ‘low-intensity-to-actually-grow-muscle workout’ that you don’t even particularly enjoy. For others, wanting to do some HIIT training but dreading that ‘I-can’t-even-breath-feeling’ makes them chicken out.

Everything in life is a choice and I think no one should feel enslaved to exercise. Having a healthy lifestyle is not about making to the gym everyday or following that workout routine that you hate but will give you #gains. It’s not about making it to the gym just to feel that you ‘deserve’ to eat, that you have ‘earned’ the right to consume calories. And it’s definitely not because a PT says that you have to go everyday (or what? Will your biceps fall if I miss a day?)

A daily staple is some sort of yogurt bowl. I keep leaving out fats all day and being left with an amazing 4 tablespoon nut butter macro capper. Mixed a scoop of @questnutrition caramel protein with Greek yogurt. Topped with a banana, cinnamon and 2 servings of @spoonmenutbutterblends remix flavor. How can I have such a relaxed a approach to eating out while I have so many food intolerances and a severe gut problem?

When I eat out, I think I have a very different mindset of what most people do nowadays in this ‘have-to-eat-healthy culture’. I don’t see food as calories, as a number. I don’t see it as good or bad. I see it as an opportunity to enjoy every mouthful and appreciate every moment spent with bae (aka, the food 😂).

Of course that I tend to stick to foods that I know that won’t cause me harm. I react mostly to dairy, soy, mushrooms and yeast. But what happens if I eat something that I am intolerant to? Let me give you an example: three years ago I cut out all bread because obviously most breads have yeast. I was terrified to just have a bite of bread because all the terrible consequences it may lead to. This only lead to create fear and a convincing voice in my head that said that I shouldn’t even have bread without yeast because obviously if all other bread caused me harm, I should just better avoid it all.

But hold on, what were the terrible, awful, horrendous, shocking, unspeakable, gruesome, monstrous consequences, really? Well, with food intolerances you usually get temporary bloated, nauseated, a rash, or even sometimes diarrhoea, but it will pass. The question you have to ask yourself is: is the world going to end?! NO.

Things are only scary if you make them like that. Eating out with food intolerances doesn’t have to be terrifying. Plus, any food in 'bad' amounts can be dangerous. Even too much water can kill you, did you know? 🤔

Actually had a different plan but wanted to make protein ice cream and changed things last minute...after adding too much yogurt, blending ingredients wrong, attempting to redo it (failing), breaking a bowl, and wasting a few ingredients...I think it’s comedically ironic that a flexbowl was what happened due to needing to be flexible and quickly whip up some food, not related to meeting macros 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love you all but why the hell did none of you convince me to buy a waffle maker earlier??? THIS THING HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I don’t even’t know where to begin with the endless recipe ideas I have, but to kick things off, here’s a savoury recipe for once and the start of #wafflewednesday.

These Sweet Potato Protein Waffles are SO easy to make, are naturally packed full of protein (without the need for protein powder), are high in fibre (15g fibre per serve!), and they make the perfect vehicle for numerous topping ideas (see my suggestions below!).

I also tested this recipe as pancakes for those of you who don’t have a waffle maker (why don’t you???!) or who just prefer pancakes, and it produced the fluffiest pancakes ever, with no modifications needed!

Ingredients:
▪️150g sweet potato (note: pumpkin would also work!)
▪️30g coconut flour
▪️90ml egg whites
▪️100ml unsweetened almond milk
▪️A pinch of Himalayan pink salt

Method:
1️⃣Boil or roast your sweet potato until soft.
2️⃣Using a fork (or food processor!), mash your sweet potato to form a puree.
3️⃣Pour in the milk and egg whites, and continue mashing.
4️⃣Stir in the coconut flour and salt until combined.
5️⃣Pour batter evenly across your waffle maker, or in a pan if you’re making pancakes!
6️⃣Heat until cooked, and serve immediately with avocado, a poached egg (plus vegemite if you’re like me) or tinned tuna!

@usnuk Blue Lab whey... Really enjoying this whey for proats to be fair, mixes well and tastes boss. Got the caramel chocolate one.. essentially mars bar flavour.. I've never had the mars whey but I assume it's similar and if it's not it should be 😅. Topped with the USN peanut butter chocolate anabolic bar, toffifee and star bites.

Ps. The macros on them bars are insanely good... 4g fat, 30g carb and 20 protons off the top of my head. Rare ya find a decent low fat bar these days. -

I used to follow a way of eating that would generally be referred as ‘clean eating’. I had a long list of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods and would go to extreme lengths to only eat ‘good’ foods. I didn’t feel good at this time, mentally or physically. Shopping for foods was difficult, I never ate out in restaurants and struggled to digest the food I was eating. Despite feeling crappy, I  felt like this was the only way to eat. 😬

Following a bout with ‘clean eating’, I discovered the iifym approach. The idea here was eat anything you want as long as it fits into your daily macronutrient goals (protein, carbs and fat targets). There was no consideration of micronutrients or eating in a balanced way. This also didn’t make me feel good physically or mentally. It become a challenge of how much ‘junk food’ I could fit into my diet. 🤦‍♀️

The third wave is where I’m at now. I don’t restrict any foods from my diet but I don’t go out of my way to fit in as many treats as possible. I eat foods which make me feel good, which means nutrient dense stuff most of the time, with regular treats when I want them. I take a long term perspective and don’t worry if one day I eat loads of treats because it’s unlikely I’ll want them again the next day anyway. 🤓

This smoothie bowl is a good example of this approach. It’s made with protein powder, almond milk and xanthan gum, topped with raspberries and a @squirrelsisters bar. It’s the kind of meal I enjoy eating regularly (see my stories for evidence!) I don’t label is as ‘clean’ ‘good’ or ‘bad’, it’s just food. Food that makes me feel good. 😌

Ce matin je m'inspire d'un post publié par une page que je trouve juste incroyable pour ses créations 👉 @adamacros qui pour moi, est vraiment une page sur laquelle faire un tour si tu es bien bien gourmand et que tu aimes les petits déjeuner bien fait 😊 Sa version était avec des céréales en base, moi je n'ai pas suffisant de macros pour assurer une quantité équivalente ahaha j'ai d'autres repas bien sympa à vous faire partager dans la journée 😊 On a donc, une base overnight porridge, toujours fait avec la recette du frangin @maxime_lrnt qui, je le félicite plus que tout à passé les 10K, il le mérite vraiment pour le temps qu'il investit dans ce domaine 😊
Ensuite par dessus de la PHD barre choc peanuts butter crunchy parce que j'avais la moitié à finir et un peu de bombitos que tu peux trouver sur @prozisfrance 😊 Bref juste ce qu'il faut pour ma séance ischios de 9h qui démarre ma semaine de training 🤗 Et toi c'est quoi le programme du jour ? 🤗

Home at last with a serious hunger on me 😋 Bagels to save the day 💃 Toasted GF Bagels, 1/2 Strawberry Jam 1/2 @frankysbakery Crunchy Chocolate Spread 😋 (think crunchy nutella) In a bowl of Greek Yogi, Berries, Jelly, Peanut Butter M and M Eggs, Reese's Pieces & a Snickers Stick 👐 Whose got their paws on these Beauts 😍

So today was cray, 14 hours of it 🤣 But I loved every second 💃 So It was all about the convenience when it came to food, especially after forgetting to bring breakfast with me I wasn't off to a great start 👎Did it destroy my day? NOPE 🚫 I've had two slices of white bread for brekkie, a baguette for lunch, a frozen meal for dinner and now a bagel before bed and there was no Carb explosion, no magic fat gain -  SHOCKER 🤷 Nope 🚫 You would be surprised the amount of people who would think this was a total f$ck up of a day. The beauty of flexible dieting means you can literally work around any day/situation/schedule etc and eating things like bread and frozen meals won't kill you 🤣 Obviously it's not ideal to live off certain foods daily BUT it stops most people throwing in the towel after one 'messed up meal' knowing they can get straight back on track afterwards and work around any situation 👏 Plus I'm not complaining eating bagels before bed, would you 🤷😉 And also - I'm way over 'health' targets as always for the day with lots of micros after been consumed too 💃 Anyway all hail #iifym today 👐 Now to eat, sleep and repeat 😎 Sweet Dreams Fam Bam ❤️ .
