Throwing it WAY Back to a Norway BASE trip in 2006. The weekend before I had just done the LeMans 24 Hours with Panoz & we were the first retirement. Jumping off the 3000 Ft. fjords was the perfect Attitude Adjustment! 📸 @douggsbase #basejumping#jumping#norway#fjords#skydiving
The Lofoten Islands have many fishing huts which are scattered along the shoreline of the fjords. Whilst this one, captured by Ben Wicks, appears to be a private structure, travellers are able to book a stay in larger cabins for an authentic stay #faroutmagazine
Checked to see if I’m afraid of heights...I am 😅.
I’ve posted this photo before but it’s one of my favorites. It’s always been a symbol to me of a turning point in my life. It’s from a trip I took to Norway in July of 2015. It seems like such a long time ago now, but this was the summer where I committed to prioritizing myself, to stop waiting for other people to make my dreams come true and to actively pursue making them happen instead.
I remember how scared I was stepping out on to this rock. I could feel my stomach drop and almost didn’t stand up. But I wanted to stand! I didn’t want to leave knowing I had been here, so close to checking this off my bucket list, and couldn’t just stand up. So I did it. And now when I look back, I always think of this summer as the turning point where I realized I had the power to conquer my own fears.
Have you climbed in the Norwegian fjords? Would you stand on the Kjeragbolten?
