Marking progress as I get close to finishing week 5 of an 8 week weight lifting / HIIT cardio & core training program. .
My favorite part of this program is the flexibility. 30-40 minute sessions - 4 times a week - for 8 weeks. Easy to follow meal plan included and a cheat day (necessary for those of us who ❤️ snowballs, tequila, beer, extra rice 😉) .

It takes some people many years to find what truly makes them happy. I have been dedicated to my health and fitness since my health and PE class my Sophomore year of college. My professor really taught me the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, and it has stuck with me ever since. .
But the opportunity to help people with their health is new for me. I cannot even describe to you the joy it brings me to help others with their journey. This calling brings so much happiness to my life and I know I am doing what I am meant to do. I want to make a difference in the world, and I want people to live their best life!

5 x 77.5kg (~171lbs). Did I go deep enough? (swipe)
I always go way too deep and waste a lot of energy and mess up my technique while doing this. So I try to learn to squat to the best depth for powerlifting (go deep enough but not deeper than you have to). But sometimes when I'm at the gym and I see my videos I'm not sure! But I kinda have to know right away to improve in the next set. So that's why I'm always interested in other people's opinion! Buut you have to be familiar with the ipf powerlifting rules. Otherwise you can't judge. ⚪=okay!, 🔴=fail. --------------------------------------
Yesterday I made a screenshot of my deepest point in the most questionable squat of the day. And I made a poll. It's still in my story. Atm about 80% said ⚪ and 20% said 🔴. Buut some non-powerlifters voted. There was a girl who sent a dm and asked why I made this poll because OBVIOUSLY my thighs are red. Hmmm. So.. The results of this poll aren't really helpful. But I added screenshot of the ipf rules here so now everyone knows and can vote!
Also thanks to everyone who gave me feedback and suggestions! I always appreciate that a lot! For example one person said I shouldn't film from the floor. I should elevate my camera for better perspective! Clever!

I use to compare myself to other girls.
It happens & it’s normal.
But I learned that I’m in this for ME & to get better. The only competition is w/ MYSELF. There’s no need to feel bad for not being at a certain level.
A quote that stuck to me:
“ DONT COMPARE YOUR CHAPTER 1 TO SOMEONE ELSE’S CHAPTER 15”
Everyone starts somewhere & we just gotta improve where we are currently.
We all have a different journey. Let’s focus on our own goals & do what it takes to get there.
Don’t mind where the other person is at. As long as you are taking action to improve, you’re already one step ahead.

My routine was interval training today.
2 lifting exercises 10 reps each
Followed by immediate 30 seconds of HIIT
Do this 3 times
Total of 6 different lifts and 3 different HIIT
End with 2 movements 30 seconds each 3 times of ab work.
My shoulders are burning.... love this style because I lift hard and HIIT hard !

MOVE OF THE DAY
. This is THE HARDEST shoulder exercise for me. It’s called “SWIMMERS”!
. Last week I started with 8’s the first round of 10 reps and barely finished the second round with my 8’s! For the third round, I dropped down to 5’s to finally finished with NO WEIGHTS!
. Today, I did the 3 rounds with my 8’s!!!! Very proud of my improvement. It was still hard (you can see it in my facial expressions) but I DID IT!!!
. Starting to love lifting now... @LIIFT4 and @joelfreemanfitness changed my view on lifting weights. Thank you 😊 .
