Think about this for a sec:
If you want something REALLY bad, like a new car or something, you'll work your tail off to afford it...whatever it takes.
But say you also want to get in shape, but you dont necessarily want it as bad as you want the car...
Do you think you'll do whatever it takes to get in shape?
So level with yourself, do you actually want to be more
Cause if you really do, work your tail off and I promise it'll be more worth it than a new car ever could be.

My fave overhead press(OHP)variation 🏋️♀️ dont run away from the smith machine ya'll ☝️ it can be very useful for certain exercises.
A little bit of info about this exercise:
- for beginners: good for getting used to the range of motion...since the smith machine is fixed in place, it is easier to control than a free barbell.
- for more experienced lifters: good for going heavier than you might normally go with a barbell. Being seated and having the bar fixed will make it "easier" to grind out reps without your form breaking down.
General cues for OHP:
*elbows tucked in(not flared out to the sides), forearms vertical, core braced
*as you press straight up, drive your head through your arms (as seen in video)
*I come down to about chin height to keep constant tension in the shoulders

I dont preach "how to get abs in 30 days", "get chiseled abs with these 5 moves", "foods guaranteed to slim your waistline".
Cause honestly, who cares 🤷♀️ having abs has somehow become the epitome of "health" and "fitness"
And usually what most people strive for.
I encourage you to dig a little deeper than that.
How will losing weight improve your life?
Will you feel more confident?
Will you have more energy to do what you love?
Figure that out first and let it be your motivation.
If abs appear as a byproduct of your hard work then good for you 👏

HOW TO PLANK? 💪
1. With your elbows bent at 90degrees and both forearms resting on the floor, push up with your body so that you form a STRAIGHT LINE from your head to your toes.
2. Look straight at the floor and make sure your elbows are directly under your shoulders.
3. Think of “tucking your tailbone under” so you engage your core and tense your legs to use them too!
