DOMS IS REAL today, so it's a rest day for me! Taking days off can be super annoying as I don't know about you guys, but I just sit around wanting to get to the gym all day 😭👎🏼 BUUUUT.. it's sooooo necessary to recover properly to get back in there and smash it again and make optimal gains!! Also, I guess it just means I've been training well and pushing myself, which is always great!!! 🙌🏻

When you’re not happy about the progress you’re making, do you blame your genetics, or do you look at the total amount of effort you are putting in? While the cards you were dealt do put a limit on your potential, surely it is no reason to become envious and stop working hard.
In life, do you blame your background/ upbringing for your shortfalls and inadequacies or do you look at what YOU can do to influence your outcome given the opportunities you have. I personally believe in equality of opportunity over this bizarre notion of equality or outcome. The same way I believe everyone should have the ability to reach their full potential even though everyone’s potential is going to be different.

I had to be. ⠀
Shit happened. ⠀
Here’s the problem; the shits not happening anymore and I’m still fighting. Guarding. Protecting. ⠀
Do you do this? ⠀
Are you still operating from the place you were at when you needed to cope with stuff that was too big for you? ⠀
Change is hard. It feels so uncomfortable. ⠀
But what is worse is living in the past and letting stuff that’s no longer happening control what we do today. ⠀
Time to take the gloves off. ⠀
Who is with me?
There are many ways to do this. This is how i do it.
1. Shift your weight into one leg, find your balance, and lift the other leg up with the same hand. If your hamstrings feel tight then you might need to work on stretching it a bit more.
2. With control, move your lifted leg to the side.
3. Slowly lift the leg higher towards the ceiling, keeping your torso as straight as possible.
4. Fetch the lifted leg with your opposite hand, and continue lifting your leg towards the ceiling.
5. Find and keep your balance with the standing leg.
6. Come out of the pose with control like the way you went into the pose.

Notice that my right leg has more flexibility than the left.
You can also do this with your back against the wall for support.
