Raise your hand if you jump out of bed bright eyed and bushy tailed each morning after a dreamy 8 hours of snooze time? 🙋🏻‍♀️😴
Yeah me neither, but I'm working on it! Years of flying and shift work, jumping time zones, ignoring my circadian rhythms and drinking more coffee than water has wreaked havoc on my sleep. Some of the habits that I've started to include in my little before bed routine that have helped massively are:
- putting the phone away earlier in the evening... or trying too! 😬
- blue light blocking glasses (I've just been using a pair of cheapies but I'm dying to try the @baxterblue ones!) - let me know if you want me to fill you in on why they've been so helpful!
- of course, cutting back on caffiene after lunch and having a calming herbal tea before bed while taking sometime to unwind 🛁
- and trying to stick to as much of a routine as possible. As much as I hate structure, following a simple routine seems to signal to my body that it's time to go to bed and helps me fall asleep sooo much quicker! This has been so helpful when I've been working odd hours or travelling.

Счастьем наполненные утренние подъемы и завершение дня...в чем оно заключается?) * еще одно умозаключение: " Счастье - найти такого же сумасшедшего как и ты " который поддержит твои старания и просто любимые занятия! Даже в 5 утра на пробежку ! Даже после тяжелого рабочего дня в тренажерку😁😄Счастье? еще какое!!!
А как помогает хорошая тренировка? 🤔
🔷Помогает забыть о всех тех бытовых проблемах, которые каждый день давят тебе на плечи, пытаясь прогнуть, подмять под себя.
🔷На тренировке выходит вся твоя накопившаяся злость - злость на самого себя, на соседей, на толпы в транспорте и грязь на улицах.На все то,что в тебе накопилось
🔷Весь мир сужается до размеров зала и цели стоящие перед тобой, тоже ясны🔜
И уже возвращаясь домой, ты немного улыбаешься - потому что понимаешь, что если смог справиться со своими внутренними слабостями, то никакие невзгоды и проблемы уже не смогут тебя сломить!Никогда!

Shout out to the @westin St. Louis for having one of the better gym hotels I’ve used. Nice selection of treadmills, free weights, and machines. Plus free towels and headphones. I wish I had used it more but overall it made my stay better.

*OJO* Aprende a escuchar a tus músculos, si no sientes el trabajo en los músculos que te menciono, hay que trabajar en mejorar postura antes de subir tu peso.

Recuerda que si lo haces en casa puedes usar bandas de resistencia o botellas con agua o lo que sea que se te atraviese, si lo haces en gimnasio, puedes usar las pesas o aparatos que simulen los movimientos que aquí te presento.

Hay tres puntos que te recomiendo para evitar lesiones, y que no termines tan adolorido nivel “no me puedo mover😭

* Calienta antes de hacer tu rutina 10 minutos incluso cuando trabajas la parte superior de brazo, es mejor calentar🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️.

* Lo hagas en casa o gimnasio, retate pero identifica el peso adecuado para terminar las repeticiones y con la mejor ejecución posible🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♀️.

* Después de la rutina se recomienda estirar para evitar no solo molestias que puedas sentir al día siguiente, sino también evitar calambres🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️.

Protein Bowl WORKSHOP⁣

Okay, maybe not a workshop, but damn close 😂⁣

Protein bowls are my absolute FAVORITE thing to make to stay on track ⁣
⁣
1. You can literally throw ANYTHING into them. ⁣
2. They are the easiest way to hit your MACROS and stay on track ⁣
3. You can make them so NUTRIENT DENSE ⁣
⁣
Here is what I do for my bowls ( usually lunch AND dinner) ⁣
⁣
1️⃣ Pick a carb source (sweet potato, quinoa, rice, noodles) ⁣
2️⃣ Pick some nutrient dense veggies. I like to add spinach to most of my bowls, Swiss chard, peppers, asparagus ⁣
3️⃣ Pick a protein source (chicken, ground lean turkey, steak, fish) ⁣
4️⃣ Pick a healthy fat source (avacado, sauce, nuts) ⁣
