You have got this one life to try different things, explore new possibilities, explore new skills, work on your mind, body and soul. I love trying out new things and that's how I keep learning or realising what are things that I love and what are the things that I can improve myself on. Some people say gym is not my thing, some people say I am not flexible enough to do yoga, some say dieting is not something I can. I have been there too. But I tried. I still try! It takes time, patience, a lot of work to actually start liking something and to be able to do it with perfection but you won't ever find that out if you don't start! I hear a lot of people say "I wanted to be xyz" when I was a kid, but life had different plans. Work for that xyz, even if it's not your career at the moment. Even if that means you might miss out on some parties, you might have to work when everyone else sleeps, but if you genuinely wanted to be something or learn something, make some time for it. 💗

It takes a little while to get use to training in an unfamiliar environment and can impact my workout heaps if I’m nervous 👎🏼 but I felt heaps confident by the end of my session! And had a good leg day considering how sore I am today 👀 happy Saturday 💛 -

@getfitrockett "I started this crazy journey in January 2015. I was sick of everything. I was struggling with anxiety & depression. I was struggling with my health. I couldn't do simple things like take a walk around the neighborhood. I hated what I saw in the mirror.
I never felt attractive, sexy, etc. I had no self confidence. I wore a 3-4x & my wardrobe was bland. I didn't like wearing color or anything that made me stand out. I didn't want any attention.
I've lost nearly 160lbs through hard work + healthy eating. It's not been easy & I've stumbled so much along the way. But consistency is the key. Keep at it, pick yourself up. We all have bad days, weeks, months. It's when we push forward that change truly happens.
I tried on a little black dress I have saved for special occasions like Christmas parties, etc. It's a size 8 & I'm just in awe. No undergarments, spanx. To feel confident & sexy as hell in your own skin.. makes the journey worth it.

It tasted much like a protein shake so maybe my hopes are too high 🤷🏻‍♀️ Total for the was 1,830 calories, 176 g carbs, 165 g protein and 52 g fat. NATURAL 90 DAY TRANSFORMATION

In March I decided to partake in @christianguzmanfitness Summer Shredding 90 Day Transformation Challenge.
-
It was literally a spur of the moment decision. In fact I didn’t even know about this challenge until a few hours before the deadline to submit the before video. -
Being a long time subscriber of Christian’s since his “Groceries with The Guz” series I convinced myself that it was absolutely necessary to join him on this prep.
-
I’ve never competed, done any challenges, or dieted for longer than 8 weeks in my life. This was something absolutely foreign to me, however with my strong willpower and work ethic I was up for the challenge.

I definitely was being tested, mocked and even hated on during a lot of this prep. Whether it was being called selfish, (because I’d only eat what I can track) or conceded, narcissistic, arrogant, lame, boring etc I heard it all.

I’m not gonna BS and say “this fueled me” no it was pretty shitty.. But I’m grateful that’s the way this prep went because it  helped me develop my character. It helped me understand myself more and how to move forward when you have no one but yourself. -
When there’s a goal you want to attain and the spark of motivation dies and all the negativity from people around you are telling you to give up.. what do you do? -
That’s when things truly get tough.

I found it within me and I pursued. I embraced all the shortcomings and stuck to my word.

That’s the factor that kept me going was my word. Weeks into prep I would replay the scenario of early on in the prep when people would ask “are you sure you can diet for 90 days?!” And I would confidently say “yes.”

That forced me to stay on track because being a man of my word is one of the most important characteristics to me.

Ultimately, I’m so happy I achieved what I achieved in this period of time and there’s nothing I regret or would have done differently. -
Now I’m just looking forward to maintaining a lean physique throughout this summer while having balance and enjoying myself. -

Taking my journey more seriously is part of my restart. I was talking to my husband the other day and I told him that, now that I  was able to quit smoking without any help other than my will I feel like I can achieve anything, including losing weight. My husband decided to help with some personal thoughts and told me that he believes that the reason why I wasn't successful before was because I decided to go "sale free". Today I ordered a food scale and a scale so I can be more steady and motivated, I also ordered meal prep containers to help me reach my goal. What's the goal? 80 pounds and I feel totally motivated!

Bueno aquí quería demostrar mi esfuerzo y sacrificio. Ha costado mucho, no fue nada fácil este caminó que decidí elegir a logró personal, no por impresionar a nadie solo demostrarme a mi que soy capaz y con mucha perseverancia veo mi progreso diario y eso me hace muy feliz. Por otra parte me di cuenta lo genial que se siente comer sanó, ya que una vez escuché que "nuestro cuerpo es nuestro templó en el cual estaremos toda nuestra vida" y me quedo tan grabado que lo recuerdo día día. Y mi premió mas grande es ver que mi familia también siguieron mis pasos de comer sanó y preocuparse un poco mas de lo que ingieren en su cuerpo y esa sensación es lo máximo !!! Bueno eso aquí  el resultado de disciplina y esfuerzo que se cultiva diariamente.(amor propio) 💪🏿❤😁✌

Hi! I have failed at posting so here is an update of the last 6 weeks! On average I've eaten taco bueno at least twice a week, ice cream 3 times a week (maybe more) lots of burgers and other delicious food. 😋 living the 50/50 lifestyle not even close to the 80/20 balance. I've gained a couple pounds but I'm feeling really strong and really happy! Working out 5-7 times a week teaching 7 classes a week. I haven't done true isolated cardio in about 8 months. My leg strength sucks (knee surgery) but my upper body is the strongest it's ever been! So I'm living life not getting caught up in guilt of eating and frustration of recovery. It's a good life! ❤💪 Shout out to @tomm_bomb for coming up with the format for this workout. 3 burpees before every round of 10 dumbbell movements and 15 situps before moving on to the next round which starts with 3 more burpees 10 reps of the next move and 15 situps... you get the picture. LONG POST BUT VITAL TO MY TRANSFORMATION-  I avoid side shots because I’ve got this RIDICULOUS belly bloat, but it’s finally shrinking. In 10 months I only lost 10 pounds. Why? For one, my training was pretty stagnant. I was exercising 4-6 days a week, but I wasn’t progressing much or challenging myself with my workouts. My nutrition also had room for improvement. I significantly improved my diet (from no vegetables to lunch salads everyday) but wasn’t being calculated enough when it came to my nutrition. From May ‘17 to October ‘17, I lost 10 pounds. The scale DID NOT MOVE from October to March. And for whatever reason, I didn’t think enough as to why that was. But I persisted. From March to now (3 months) I’ve lost an additional 13-14 lbs. I’m amazed by my progress in such a short amount of time compared to how slow things were for so long. What changed?? I learned more about my body. Through naturopath Dr. D’Adamo’s Blood Type Diet, I learned that as a blood type O, it’s hard for me to lose weight. Training needs to be rigorous. I also learned about food sensitivity. I knew I was lactose intolerant, but this highlighted why. I also learned that gluten and corn products were wrecking havoc on my health. I want to clarify that I did not chose this diet as a stereotypical “diet” with the intent to lose weight. I also didn’t decide to go gluten free to be trendy or demonize food groups. I actually started following this diet to deal with other physical ailments (troubled skin, joint pain) but respecting my body and how it’s made to function, obviously helped to lose weight. I’ve also kicked up my training a ton since March. It is super challenging, but it’s what works for me. And when that wasn’t happening I decided to remeasure myself and found that I am down 2% total body fat. I’m so happy with this, because I’m losing the fat that plagues me and gaining muscle. Call me a Prius because I’m more compact and fuel efficient ~~~

Today was day 50/51 out of 90 Chest and Legs. Yesterday I took a 2nd rest day because I was feeling warn out with a headache all day. So today I did a double workout. Was a bit angry due to work stuff so I really had an awesome workout. I increased weights all over the place and I even did all decline push ups on the last set. Did more weight on my lunges too. Seeing my legs thin out quite a bit and way more definition in my cabs. Need to figure out how to get pissed off before workouts because I always have a lot more umph when lifting.
