Don’t mind me... I’m playing around with video editing on todays workout. 
So today was torment Teresa with Barbell Rows day.  4x12 85lbs & 4x10 100lbs.  It felt good tho.  I’m ready to finally start to really go heavy. 
Could have gone heavier but been working out some back issues and didn’t want to over do it too soon. 
In other news.... can someone bring me a burger... I may not make it off the floor tonight 😩😩😩

Many of us are all or nothing which makes it really easy to veer way off track this time of year. When you go a little crazy at the staff Christmas party, it’s tempting to just throw your hands up and say, “Well, I’ve already blown it, so I might as well just keep eating and worry about it on January 1.” Do NOT do that! Get right back, right away. Don’t let the unhealthy habits linger. If you’ve overeaten, get back to normal the VERY NEXT MEAL. Get back to your workouts the very next day. Don’t let three days pass without getting in a workout. Enjoy the treats and fun on the season, but get RIGHT back to normal. Do this and you won’t feel out of control and you’ll be feeling good as you start 2019!

Flip a 300 pound tire as many times in 60 seconds. I love setting up challenges! The competition is primarily with myself, and in special moments, I will transcend myself. Flipping tires is a good way to work posterior-chain muscles like your hamstrings, back, and glutes. Muscles you'd engage during a deadlift, for example. Tire flipping is good for people who sit a lot. The key to getting lean, functional, and sustaining your muscle mass, is performing exercises that combine strength training and cardio. This includes flipping tires, pushing sleds, wall balls. These exercises build muscle, boost endurance, and shred layers of excess fat. Tire flipping is both aerobic, meaning “with oxygen,” and it’s also anaerobic, meaning "without oxygen." Anaerobic exercise is the type where you get out of breath quickly, within seconds almost, like when you lift weights for improving strength, when you sprint, flip tires, push a sled, etc. Aerobic exercises take place in the mitochondria and requires oxygen and glucose, and produce carbon dioxide, water, and energy. It's that time of year when you will be BOMBARDED by all these quick fixes, detoxes etc. 
You don't need a product to detox anything. Your body already has a built in detox system that for most people, does it's job. It's called THE LIVER.
What else detoxifies?
Your KIDNEYS.
Your SKIN.
Your breath ( Co2 is a waste product).
Your SWEAT.
Your BLOOD. Your body is constantly creating new red blood cells and getting rid of the waste.

This is a progress pic, but it’s more than that. I feel good and I’m alive. The ocean is beautiful and one of my favorite places to be. It’s so vast, so powerful, so mysterious yet so peaceful. It’s a part of who I am. 🌊

I almost drowned in Hawaii this past spring while snorkeling. It was the scariest feeling, yet I felt at peace in the ocean. I didn’t panic. I just thought to myself this is really it, isn’t it. I couldn’t get back to shore no matter how hard I tried. I was exhausted, so exhausted. I couldn’t swim parallel to shore, the waves were beating me up. I floated. The waves were pushing me towards the jagged rocks. 🌊

Next thing I know, I landed on the one flat rock amongst all the jagged ones. I survived that day and was rescued. My husband hit the rocks. He broke his big toe, jammed his finger, his knees were a bloody swollen mess and he lost his glasses, his vision. He had been on shore watching. It looked bad but he got me off that rock. This is a progress pic, but it’s more than that. I feel good and I’m alive. The ocean is beautiful and one of my favorite places to be. It’s so vast, so powerful, so mysterious yet so peaceful. It’s a part of who I am. 🌊 I almost drowned in Hawaii this past spring while snorkeling. It was the scariest feeling, yet I felt at peace in the ocean. I didn’t panic. I just thought to myself this is really it, isn’t it. I couldn’t get back to shore no matter how hard I tried. I was exhausted, so exhausted. I couldn’t swim parallel to shore, the waves were beating me up. I floated. The waves were pushing me towards the jagged rocks. 🌊 Next thing I know, I landed on the one flat rock amongst all the jagged ones. I survived that day and was rescued. My husband hit the rocks. He broke his big toe, jammed his finger, his knees were a bloody swollen mess and he lost his glasses, his vision. He had been on shore watching. It looked bad but he got me off that rock. I’m living it, but I still don’t believe the changes that are happening to me.

It’s been just over a year since I decided to focus on my health again. I had enough of hating the way I looked, where my health was headed, and how I felt. When I made that choice, I didn’t believe in myself, but I did trust the process. I knew I could find something that would push my body’s limits but be gentle on my joints as I returned from a knee injury. I knew I could add healthier options over time to gain control of my nutrition and my health. I knew that I had an amazing mentor and group to support my journey.

What I didn’t know is how far I would come in such a short period of time! 
I didn’t know that I would (*possibly) be in better shape than before my life went to hell 3 years ago! I say possibly because I deleted all the documentation of my initial transformation. After I began losing focus and gaining all the weight back, I didn’t want to be reminded. From what I remember, I weighed less, but my mom and husband both feel I’m more toned now.

I didn’t know that I would end up lifting heavier than I ever did my entire life! It’s about working harder, not longer.

I didn’t know that I would trust my body enough to stop modifying! I always told myself I can modify just so I would try. 
I didn’t know that I would discover who I am at my core is OK and I should share that with the world! It will inspire others and help me to stay focused.

October 23, 2017 (Day 1): 187.3 lbs, 45.88% body fat
May 4, 2018 (Day 1 of new nutrition program): 183.6 lbs, 43.3% body fat 
December 11, 2018: 154.3 lbs, 36.2% body fat
