3 BACK EXERCISES to grow your LATS 🦋
If you aren’t doing these already, you def should include them in your training!
• single arm iso lateral pull down (sitting sideways)- make sure you’re contracting the lat by pulling with your elbow
• seated (chest supported) wide grip rows- works my rear delts & lats so good, again make sure you bring elbows back while keeping your body up against the machine and squeeze those back muscles
• seated single arm cable row- use the double grip or single attachment, allow the weight to stretch your back then explode with the contraction bringing your elbow back and close to your tummy
SAVE and try it on your next back day 🔥🔥 these are killer, I was sore for days!

💥Back Squats 355lbs for 3 Sets of Triples💥I’ve failed so many times in the past on the squat rack that now even if I fail, I see it as a win. Reason being is that I’m always looking for ways to improve and I understand why things don’t go my way. I can’t stress this enough whether in life or the gym, don’t get down when failures come about. It’s a learning process that shows you how you can get better. Week 1-6 of my progression was all about mastering my form. After completely week 9 today, my form is solid and all I have to do is to put it all together moving forward. Believe or not even tho the weight is heavier, this is the easy part for me and what I look forward to the most. The mental strength that you gain from successful moving a heavy weight load builds that confidence you need so that next you step up to the bar, there will be no doubt in your mind that you will succeed. I don’t even think of possible failing anymore. If it happens it happens but each and every week, I understand that if I step to the bar and do exactly what I’ve been practicing for countless weeks, I’ll be successful at whatever number is scheduled for that week!!! My friend @devinnestevens is an awesome photographer and offered to take photos of me. At first I said “Yes!” But then I paused. Because I thought I should lose weight first.

Fact: I’m the heaviest I’ve been in years. Also fact: I’m a fitness coach. I lift weights. I do cardio. I eat well. And I’m actually pretty healthy AF. But I was so convinced that I wasn’t “fitness” enough for photos. -
Well F that. I took those damn photos on Sunday. And I’m posting them. Because I am “fitness” enough. You’re enough too. Stop waiting. Go do the damn thing 👏🏼

Day 68/RD2 with the 80 day workouts is Booty. This workout has grown on me. I love the challenge of all the moves. I was able to be on point again with the meal plan that I will have to alter a little with my diabetes meal plan and mostly the carbs. I think the challenge will be an adjustment but worth it! I know I’m not doing doubles with LIIFT4 program. I had thought about it but went against it because I really want to focus on this round of 80DF completion of it. The other program isn’t going anywhere & I wanted to avoid overtraining which was an issue I had in the past. 💪🏼 ♥️

Came through drippin’ drip drip 💧 leg day was killer - heavy barbell squats, pistol squats, lunges, curtsy lunges, block pushes, kettlebell swing, ufffff. And to think, I don’t have to be that mom who “doesn’t have time”. I don’t have to be that mom that feels guilty for leaving the house for an hour. I have to remember I am doing this for myself AND for them. I found this new gym @legendaryfitnessmiami and am currently during the trial week. every time I go to a class I feel so... accomplished. There is just no other word to describe it 💪🏼💪🏼 and working out just put everything else into place. Underweight➡️healthy 😊 I never thought I'd get to where I am right now. I used to be so OBSESSED with food, exercise & the way I looked. I strived to be 100lbs - which I was v close to in the left pic!!!! But I've gained about 20-25lbs since then & I'm damn proud of it. I couldn't afford to go to a treatment center. I recovered on my OWN. I obviously received a lot of love & support by my fam & friends, but this shit was mentally one of the hardest things I had to do. I've definitely grown a lot. It still affects me every now & then. It always will, but I'll never go back to having an ED to be skinny. It ain't worth it. Happiness + curves are much better. 😉 .

Feeling surprisingly not bloated after yesterday's pizza + s'mores cookie 😋 Totally worth it bc it looks like the gains are going to the booty #slimthicc lmaooo. Today is Monday which also means today is LEG DAY BOIII!!! Last week was rough - which is why I didn't post as much. My motivation was at an all-time low, but I'm feeling hella motivated today!
