Kept this one short and sweet cuz it’s HOT ☠️ felt like a raisin after work today but still pushed some solid weight 💪 Hit a decent no hook grip snatch then almost had 355 on back squats 😭 finished up with some dead’s at 85% and called it a day 🙌 #fsf#olympiclifting#fitnessmotivation#mondaymotivation#summer
I didn’t make a Father’s Day post yesterday. I spent the day with my daughter like every other day and we had a great time. I did however get myself a couple new gifts. One being the occlusion arm training wraps from @bradleymartyn .
I looked on YouTube for some videos on the product and some workouts to try so I took a look on @bradley_martyn channel and found a video. In the beginning of that video a man had sent him a personal letter referencing another one of his videos. So I checked it out. .
My father has been absent my whole life. A drug addict for over 30 years. My mother was with a man she had a child with for many years. Growing up he was the only father I ever knew even though not a very good one. Beat my mother. Was at the bar more than home. Eventually hanging himself at that same bar ending his life. Leaving the blame on myself and mother. .
Growing up I’d latch on to male influences. Idolizing successful people in fields I admired. Learning how to be a father by watching others and remembering what not to do from the examples I had. .
In this fitness community I have a lot to look up to. @1stphorm and everyone there, @therock and others that daily show a great example of a good father and being a man, and this guy right here. Sometimes the things you do in life affect others more than you know. So thank you for the motivation and putting your story out there the way you have. #bradleymartyn#iam1stphorm#1stphorm#fitnessmotivation#mondaymotivation#fathersday#legionofboom#arnoldclassic2018

Hello my friends, my life warriors! I hope you have had a good day? Today in the gym I was doing dips, dips and dips 👍✌🤗 In the video I am working with the following:
Weight: Body weight
Reps: 24 to 25
It has been a long day for me working on small plans for a bigger picture so for the next few weeks it is going to be head down and working my ass off.
See you on the other side my friends, my life warriors! And do something awesome 👍✌🤗
When I was little, I used to dread coming home from vacation. I didn’t know the definition of depression yet, but I have a feeling I displayed textbook symptoms the following week. If I had to put my finger on it now, I would guess that because I was so short sited I couldn’t see past the car ride home, let alone to the next vacation.
As I left the beach this year and saw the cars heading south I thought about this. And quite frankly I couldn’t help but smile. It’s not that I was excited to leave, but thrilled that it happened at all.
More often than not, I think we look at the conclusion of something great as sad, or even regrettable. The memories created, and the joy we felt overshadowed by the thought of leaving it behind.
“Memories” are memories for a reason. We live them, we store them, we reflect on them, and maybe, just maybe we even learn from them. Whether it’s the conclusion of a vacation, the end of a chapter, or the turn of a page, be thankful that it happened, and smile because it did.
Oh, and yeah that’s a donut on my shirt. Happy Monday everyone.🍩
