I have just stumbled upon this video, I forgot to post it! This was taken early July after I got back from holiday. I set a goal in May to be able to do 1 unassisted chin up. Since then I’ve been doing assisted chin ups with a resistance band and working on building lean muscle tissue so that I can achieve this goal. 2 months later and I was able to do a couple of unassisted chin ups, yay! The next goal is to be able to do 5... Big month ahead as I try and achieve this goal 💪🏼

I had never even heard of 'progressive overload' before I started my fitness journey, let alone knew what it meant. But now I understand how important it is if you want to build strength and muscles! (Especially that booty🍑) .

So basically it means that if you lift the same weights, for the same number of reps, the same way for the next 20 years… nothing will ever happen. Your body will never change or improve in any way.
You will only maintain your current state. 
However, if you increase the demands you are placing on your body by increasing the weight being lifted, lifting the same weight for more reps, or just doing something that increases the demands that your body needs to meet, then your body will have no other choice but to make the necessary changes and improvements that will allow it to adapt to this environment and remain capable of performing these tasks.

I'm pleased so far with my progress I've only been training for 4 weeks. Before that, I hadn't trained for 8 months. During that time id piled a lot of weight on lost any sort of muscle mass I had so was uncomfortable to Wear a t-shirt as I felt fat. Everyone's journeys are different. I'm trying to get into good shape and be the best I can be so I'm putting in the hard work and the eating habits have changed a lot. I will keep you updated regularly. If I can change and feel a benefit in 4 weeks of training then what's you'd excuse?? Shoulder workout yesterday was a killer. BUILD YOUR QUADS by

First, let me say that if you want to build solid legs, the majority of your leg training should consist of compound exercises such as squats, leg presses, and lunges. However, I like to add leg extensions at the end of my leg hypertrophy days just to finish them off. If you have bad knees and think they will hurt you, then don’t do them. It won’t make a very big difference in your leg development as long as you’re doing the compounds mentioned above. If you want to include them, you can point your toes in different directions to hit different areas of your quads.

If you point your toes in, you will hit the outer quad which is the area that gives you the outer sweep. If you point your toes out, you’ll hit the inner quad which is the “teardrop.” If you point your toes straight ahead, you’ll hit a little of everything but mostly in the middle. I usually try to point slightly in to hit more of my outer quad since my tear drops are very well developed already.

Last night I did some declined shoulder press ups... So my feet were on the kitchen work surface and I was at a right angle and did 2 sets of 20 reps.  Then used the ab  roller and did 2 sets of 12.  Today,  I will be doing press ups,  dips,  and declined crunches,  and using the core pad sliders too!  Let's do this!

Because a lot of you out there practice smart running. And I want to, too. So maybe it was sore heavy legs or maybe it was totally calculated, but I kept it real, real slow tonight.

Yesterday was 10 @ 7:35 and today was 7 @ 8:58. And I think that's kind of what keeping it slow and easy means.
