Happy Saturday 💫
I have just stumbled upon this video, I forgot to post it! This was taken early July after I got back from holiday. I set a goal in May to be able to do 1 unassisted chin up. Since then I’ve been doing assisted chin ups with a resistance band and working on building lean muscle tissue so that I can achieve this goal. 2 months later and I was able to do a couple of unassisted chin ups, yay! The next goal is to be able to do 5... Big month ahead as I try and achieve this goal 💪🏼
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Having a rest day today, so here's a #tb to last week when @azric141282 and I squatted 80kg for 10 reps! 💪🏋️♀️ Not heavy for some, but for us, it was a step up from our usual 40 'comfortable' kg's, which we have prob done for far too many months now 🤦♀️
I had never even heard of 'progressive overload' before I started my fitness journey, let alone knew what it meant. But now I understand how important it is if you want to build strength and muscles! (Especially that booty🍑) .
So basically it means that if you lift the same weights, for the same number of reps, the same way for the next 20 years… nothing will ever happen. Your body will never change or improve in any way.
You will only maintain your current state.
However, if you increase the demands you are placing on your body by increasing the weight being lifted, lifting the same weight for more reps, or just doing something that increases the demands that your body needs to meet, then your body will have no other choice but to make the necessary changes and improvements that will allow it to adapt to this environment and remain capable of performing these tasks.
'A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there!' Xx
In 2000 I was 56lbs overweight, depressed from trying to keep up appearances, weighed down and heavy from life. I started on a weight loss journey and discovered strength, fortitude and confidence when I'd lost that 56lbs. My life appeared so much more joyous because my perception changed.
In 2018 I am fitter, leaner, abundant in energy and on a path of self-discovery and self-love.
This is a lifelong commitment people. When you get your mind right and start crafting your Truth happiness and abundance will stick to your face like a child giving you a big peanut-butter, chocolate smackeroonie 🤪
Seize the day and start on your journey of self-love.
Happy Saturday my beautiful people!!! Meeting my gorgeous @lauren_fitmum for breakfast then later today I’ll be heading to Essex (Shu-upppp) to celebrate my baby sisters birthday, her new veterinary nurse qualification & my new job! It’s gonna be a good one! Hope you all have a magical day whatever you may be upto! 💜
SWIPE TO STRETCH 👉 The Simple #Quad#Stretch !
Stretching might not be the most exciting part of your #workout , but it's definitely one of the most important! 🏃 By stretching out your quads before and after your session, not only avoids risk of a #muscle injury 💪, but it also increases your flexibility and boosts your #exercise performance.
WHAT TO DO: Stand on your left leg, one knee touching the other. Grab your right foot, using your right hand, and pull it towards your #glutes 🍑 and hold for 30 seconds before switching sides. This stretch should be repeated until your muscles no longer feel tight! 🙌

#motivee#healthygoals#bonnesresolutions#fitnessgoals#onycroit#regime#sport#onsereprendenmain
Change is not easy, People! Our bodies are programmed to seek 'homeostasis'.
That means that it’s often easier for us to continue to do wat we're doing even if it’s unhealthy or makes us feel worse.
Many people don’t have plans for getting back on the wagon if they fall off. What’s more, we’re a judgmental species; we berate ourselves for failing if we lose momentum for even a moment.
One way to maintain your health and fitness goals is to find the Right Motivation and Support. ❤ 👊 #fitnessgoals#letthehealingbegin
