To each their own but I like to record my workouts when I can and when I have some time. It’s officially been a year since I really jumped into the fitness world and I’ve learned so much and am still learning with every single session. 
Recording my workouts lets me see what my form really looks like and helps me see where I can correct myself the next time I hit these workouts. For example I noticed some rocking on my underhand barbell rows. I noticed my elbows weren’t in tight enough on my incline rows. There’s always room for improvement every single day. 
Lifting was never something I thought I would fall in love with. A year ago I was a slave to anxiety medicine. Although medications do help some people and it helped me at first, I began to feel like a slave to it. The days I would forget to take my medicine I felt terrible and eventually I began to feel like a zombie and my medicine that had worked for me for the few years I was on it, began to do the opposite.
But then came @theedgefitnessclubs. I was in the market for a job and I applied. The atmosphere and the people I worked with inspired me to work on myself. And not long after I was able to get rid of my anxiety medicine completely. Today I live without it. The gym is my medicine now. This is where I go to wind down. It’s where I go to destress, to relax. Working out is the highlight of my day and I became my own hero @herstorm .

Thought it was time for a body update!.

Training: 5 times a week. High volume training with a focus on glutes and hamstrings. As you can’t spot reduce fat In certain areas 🙄( oh how I wish this was actually a thing ) I am trying to get stubborn areas like the hips, thighs and hamstrings to budge by increasing the number of days I train these body parts. Getting some help from my amazing coach @renpullen because I am no expert and we all need help sometimes with setting new goals, trying new things and challenging ourselves when we workout.

Nutrition: eating all the food. Eating roughly 1800 calories a day. 3 main meals, 2 snacks plus desert. Drinking lots of h20 every day. Sipping on apple cider vinegar and lemon 🍋 to keep my sugar cravings under control because is a constant battle for me. #ilovecake. 
I eat carbs everyday and include a source of protein in every meal. -
I find there are so many things in my daily routine when it comes to my health, maintaining my weight that now just come automatically to me because I have been doing it for a while. But I remember so VIVIDLY when I decided I wanted to make a change for the better, loose weight and how confused I felt about all the information that is out there, so if you have any questions about training or nutrition drop them below and I will share what has worked for me. Everyone is different, you just have to keep trying new ways of eating and exercising until you find that perfect fit that’s just for you, one that is maintainable and will leave you feeling full and happy 😊.

Day 68 of 365. What a great rest day. I had my first cheat meal in 3 weeks tonight. Here’s 6 of my overhead squats from 18.3 last night. These felt good. I did 10 and 10. 35# felt good and I really wish I had my dubs so I could have RX’d this workout and did the 80# OHS. Oh well, gives me something to work towards next year 💪🏼🤷🏻‍♀️. #myweightlossjourney #obesetobeast #fattofit #fattofit

I almost forgot #humpday again. 😈 Just out here trying to grow and get booty pumps. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Seriously though sometimes it’s difficult to find motivation to workout in the morning when I know I have a long day ahead. I have to have pep talks with myself and remind myself of my goals and what it will take to reach them. The only one that can get in the way of our success is ourselves. Excuses, self doubt and laziness. I’m refusing to allow any of these characteristics be a part of who I am. What do you do to keep pushing forward every day? Hope everyone had a good Wednesday! 💗

Not going to lie a smashed a Hawaiian pizza after this-I ain’t even mad. Lifting during my pregnancy has (in my opinion at least) really helped me with these insane hormonal mood swings because by the time I’m done I’m too exhausted to do anything but stuff my face and sleep; kind of like a bear during hibernation. 🤷🏼‍♀️💪🏼

Plie squat , using the land mine and stepping on a 25lb plate, heels to heels , on these and squeeze at the top. Then right into squats and deadlifts . Easy breazy set up and for anyone suffering from a neck or shoulder or knee injury,  these are perfect. We will call this #11
