To you this may just be a shirt... but to me it means so much more! It is a sense of accomplishment for 80 days of hard work and commitment. I chose to get up each day and hit play. I chose to make this a priority. I chose to put my health first . It’s so easy to make excuses and put things off but for once I didn’t. This has been so rewarding. So now I am wearing this shirt with pride and confidence, doing the entire program all over again and loving every minute of it!❤️💪🏼🙌🏼
1.)Me wanting to talk about using the stability ball in your work outs so trying to figure out the selfie stick. 2.) I think I got it 3.) and NEVER underestimate the intensity of a home work out. I think I work out harder sometimes because I talk to myself and I can grunt as loud as I want to with no audience! 😂😂😂 ***I used the stability ball for incline chest presses and flat chest flys. It engages your core through stabilization and provides options when you don’t have a flat bench. Love it!
💪🏿💪🏿FLEX FRIDAY 💪🏿💪🏿 Day 4/ LIIFT 4/Leg Day😳
For some reason this week workout LIIFT 4 seemed to go by much faster then I expected 4 days workout and three days rest. I know I'm getting stronger because I managed to do the majority of the workout without little modifying. The bear, hamstrings and the gluteus were brutal on me because I was feeling a little pain in my hips but I push forward. Exercise is good for you if you have osteoporosis in your hip and spine, it stretches the muscles to relieve the pain.
This why it's so important to take of your health because I don't want to be not able to have fun with my granddaughter's. That one of my WHY I am on this journey.
If I'm inspiring you that's great. But don't forget I'm a Coach‼️. Neskowin, Oregon – Ever heard of it? It’s between Lincoln City and Tillamook on the coast.
It’s a sleepy little town. Not anything glamorous, or touristy. Just a wonderful spot to check your car keys at the ‘city gates’ , get sand in between your toes, watch sunsets, play on the beach, play golf (well the guys did). It was a safe place for us kids, and we pretty much could come and go as we pleased.
We were so blessed as kids that we got to spend two weeks every summer down there.
The memories run deep through our veins. There is only one of our parents (our Mom) still coming with us and we have even lost a few of us kids. There have been marriages, children, and now grandchildren from our ‘original’ crew! We’ve scattered ashes of our loved ones there. That’s just how much this place has captured our hearts. Yes, the pictures have faded a bit over the years, but not our love for this spot!
These shirts represent something very special to me. They were the binding of families that came together once a year and we have continued with that tradition. There is still a core of us that go now for one week – and that week is coming up soon! I can’t wait!
Proposal Rock still stands proud in its glory. The golf course is still intact and it’s fun to watch the kids (that would be us) carry on the tradition of the Dad’s Golf Tournament. The store we called “Fresh Out” (because they were always fresh out of everything) is new and improved, a new restaurant – BUT the color of the old houses is still pretty much the same, the sunsets are just as beautiful as ever, the ocean still roars in its majesty, the walks are amazing and the peace of our minds and hearts is wonderful!
Can you pick me out? HINT: My brother David says I'm part poodle!! Yes, this is a little piece of Heaven on earth for me! Do you have a place like this for you?
I’ve been reading through the same devotion book for a couple years now. It’s been the Spiritual IV I have needed and God has used it to keep me sane and anchored and loved.
But I have thought about going back through the 4 gospels off and on. Today I felt God say, “Today is the day”. I read through the first 17 verses of Matthew, which is the genealogy of Jesus starting with Abraham. You would normally think,”snooze fest”. But today something lept out at me that I’ve never seen before.
Lineage was listed by the names of the men, but there are 4 women named as well. What blew me away was the fact that these 4 women are the most unlikely women to be in the bloodline of a Savior. Or so you would think. But these women were chosen by God to have their blood run through the veins of our Savior. Are you ready? *Rahab the harlot was the mother of Boaz. *Boaz married Ruth, the poor widow scraping for wheat kernels in a field for food. She was David’s great grandmother. *Solomon’s mother (Bathsheba) was taken by King David who was creeping on her while she bathed on her rooftop and had her husband killed in battle. *and then there was the teenage virgin, Mary, who endured more than we will ever know to give birth to our Lord.
How unlikely & how unpredictable are these choices God made?
I’m not sure I can even put into words all that is exploding in my mind and heart right now other than... God chose these women (and men) to be our Spiritual heritage. Their blood may, or may not, be in our lineage. But we have been “grafted in”, the Bible says. What great lengths God went through to make sure we had/have the opportunity to have a Savior in Jesus! What unlikely Lady heroes He used to offer salvation to the world.
