Today was a total self care day. Got a facial, took an intense Pilates class at the @inbalancestoneoak Grand Opening and had a long and meaningful conversation with my sister @cecelotus . She said something that really resonated with me, that’s it’s all about the right mindset towards a healthy lifestyle. That for me to truly love myself I have to believe that I AM worthy of achieving my goals, and my body will listen to me and I WILL get there. I’ve been struggling with self image for a long time and I know that I’m not where I want to be yet, but instead of hating my body for not cooperating with the effort I’m putting into getting to a certain fitness goal, I need to appreciate it for being healthy and strong. I will also stop comparing myself with others and ignore people’s comments on my body, no matter how much they say it’s coming from a “loving place”. My journey continues, but I feel that changing my mindset was the last piece of the puzzle, and now, nothing can stop me!
Hi hi hi and happy Saturday! If you’re like me and don’t always feel like heading to the gym to get a sweat in, here’s an at home, leg focused cardio circuit you can do! I ran 1.65 miles before doing the circuit and I was honestly DRIPPING sweat when I was done with this. I do have some weights at home but this circuit can be done without them as well so no excuses for not getting a sweat in! 🤗 -

1️⃣ Sumo Squats - 12
2️⃣ Squat + Curtsy Lunge - 10 ES

I love what yoga has introduced into my life. A feeling of peace, gratitude, just "me" time. I feel like a badass and jam out to rap when I'm lifting weights, but when I'm doing yoga I'm 100% girly, calm, peaceful. I love this balance and wouldn't have it any other way 💗💓

it’s been almost THREE WEEKS since i last went on a scale and holy wow does it feel good. there’s something so beautiful about just listening to your body and not letting your life be run by some ambiguous number. i’m learning to love my body for what it can do for me rather than judging it off of its “weight”. it’s a wonderful, wonderful thing
