So this morning I got my hands on some freshly caught tuna. I mean the fisherman had freshly caught tuna, so I decided to take some for lunch.  And oh boy I was so glad I did, it was sooo delicious 😋 it literally melted in my mouth. I enjoyed every single bite, with an mmmmm. It was mouth watering 🤤.
This dish is so easy so quick to make, i mean tuna steak needs very little cooking, that you can’t say you don’t have time to make it.

1- get the Tuna
2- in a small bowl mix garlic ginger parsley chilli 🌶, soy sauce or tamarin for a gluten free option and lemon 🍋 juice. 
3- put the mixture on the steak . 
4- cook 👩🏼‍🍳 5- eat
Enjoy it with some rice or green beans, or a simple salad.

Mmmmmm Low Carb Blueberry Protein Muffins 😍🤤These are probably my best muffin experiment yet! The texture was fabulous and I even threw in some kale and turmeric root! Boom! 💥I'm not the best cook or baker but I love it and I'm willing to experiment. Sometimes I get lucky and make magic happen without starting a fire. ✨⠀

Ingredients:⠀

- Scoop of vanilla protein powder⠀
- 1/4 cup coconut flour⠀
- 1 tsp baking powder⠀
- 3 eggs⠀
- 1/2 vanilla almond milk⠀
- 6 mini scoops of stevia (I use the strong stuff without any fillers)⠀
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (use less for less carbs #doyou)⠀
- Turmeric root chunk (about the size of a large cherry tomato)⠀
- 2 kale leaves⠀
⠀
Set oven at 350 degrees. Grease pan with coconut oil. Blend ingredients using blender. Pour into pan. Bake 20 - 25 minutes. Let cool. Eat. Smile. ⠀

I made this delicious chili and sun dried tomato sauce to go with some wholemeal spaghetti and some garlic and basil olive bread 😋. It was so nice that I had two helpings 🙈🐷😂. The olive bread was a ciabatta from @aldiuk that I baked with some @vitalite spread, garlic and fresh chopped basil. I know most days it looks like getting up, working out, & striving to be healthy is easy.💪🏼 Certainly a healthy lifestyle is no more difficult to maintain than an unhealthy one when its routine. But it’s not w/o struggle, frustration, & disappointment.😔

What’s my greatest challenge right now?🤔 Not seeing the fruits of my labor!🍇 Wait, what? You mean my exercise & nutrition isn’t working?Exactly!😳 But why? Excellent question! The answer? Cymbalta & a long explanation on the biochemical effects on the body & brain.🧠 I take it for anxiety & have taken some type of medication for anxiety for a year & a half now.📆I’ve worked w/ multiple doctors to try different meds. I’ve reduced the dosing SIGNIFICANTLY under the watchful eye of the doc of course! I’ve even managed to stop the gain & reversed the upward trend but I’m still not where I want to be!🛑 But it could be a lot worse!🤨

What if I didn’t already have a healthy lifestyle?🧐 What if exercise wasn’t already part of my daily routine?🏊🏼‍♀️ What if I didn’t already know EXACTLY what I should be eating everyday?🥦 What if I decided to use the meds as an excuse to give up & quit?🤯 What if I lacked the self-confidence to let this setback define who I am?🤪 So the struggle continues w/ gratitude for all the healthy habits already in place!😇

I know I’m doing all the right things despite what the scale says.⚖️ I know I’m working towards a goal that I may never achieve as long as I have to take these meds.🥈 I’m not quitting because the alternative is completely unacceptable! I know the disappointment of failure & the frustration of having something out of my control.😟 But I am NOT a victim. I know how empowering it is to take control over those things I can control & to fill my head w/ positive thoughts leaving no room for the negative ones.😎 Most of all I’m grateful for the platform & opportunity to share what I’ve learned w/ you!

Took it to the grill with some chicken thighs and asparagus, and then did some clean “philly cheesesteaks” out on my new griddle. Bison top sirloin chopped thin, bell peppers and onions sautéed together, and then topped it all with @bitchinsauce for a creamy yet totally clean (just nuts, vinegar and spices) finisher. Took a pretty picture, but then tossed it all together for that authentic cheesesteak effect.

These Chicken Tinga 🌮🌮 from @slowcookergourmet are soooo yummy, #tiuapproved and officially in my weeknight rotation. I used fire roasted tomatoes for extra smokiness and added a chipotle pepper + extra adobo sauce for more flavor and heat. This chicken is great for tacos, bowls and even by itself!

I wish I’d never fallen into the trap of counting calories; letting silly numbers that are glorified in the ‘dieting world’ to rule my life. •
But you know what, it doesn’t matter now because it’s never too late to change your thinking and perspective. •
Why do calories mean anything anyway? 
A banana has roughly the same amount of calories as a sugary filled muesli bar, so if we’re only focused on calories, how does it make sense that they’re ‘equal’... •
Let’s instead, focus on nutrients and fuelling our body with the best food we can. 
The more colours the better, the more nutrients the better, the more variety the better. Less is definitely not more when it comes to healthy eating! •

Es ist die letzte Woche vor dem ersten Halbmarathon auf purem Asphalt. Ohne Hindernisse und schnick Schnack. Bin schon gespannt ob ich ein neuen Rekord aufstellen kann. Angepeilt habe ich 2:15h. Mal gucken.
Heute war Lauf frei. Morgen wird noch mal ne runde gelaufen. 
Zum Abendessen gab es einen leckeren Salat. Bleibt fleißig.

Had an amazing w-e on the countryside with some friends and a delish paleo dinner on Saturday 😋 What went down: paleo sweet potato/watermelon/cranberry salad, tuna/salmon/veggies skewers grilled on the bbq, mango cubes, homemade cold tomato/oignon/pepper/basil cold soup ☀️
🇫🇷 De bons amis x un bon dîner = le bonheur 😻
Samedi soir c’était soirée bbq paléo à la campagne avec des amis 🤗 Au menu : salade de patates douces/pastèque/cranberries/graines, brochettes de thon/saumon/légumes, de la mangue, un gazpacho maison ☀️

🇺🇸 Cashew chicken & rice for dinner 🙌🏼 I couldn’t ask for more after a rough workout 😍 This was honestly one of the best dinners I had lately 🤤 and it took me literally 10mn to do it!

🇫🇷 Poulet aux noix de cajou et riz pour le dîner 🙌🏼 Je pouvais pas rêver mieux après l’entraînement 😍 Honnêtement c’est l’un des meilleurs dîners que j’ai mangé dernièrement 🤤 et ça m’a pris que 10mn à faire !
