I have many clients that think that protein is just for the big body building types?.... Yes they do take protein but trust me protein and it's benefits are for you, me and everyone! .
Whilst a calorie deficit is the absolute requirement for fat loss, protein still plays many extremely important roles in the fat loss process. .
The Most notable reason is: .
✅ Maintaining Muscle - When you create a calorie deficit your body will be forced to burn your stored body fat for and alternative source of energy. .
The thing is your body may decide to burn your muscle tissue as fuel as opposed to your fat stores.
Consuming enough protein on a daily basis will help your body to preserve your muscle and turn to your fat stores instead. .
So if your goal is to burn body fat and not lose any muscle then the key is to get your daily protein intake right!

A really popular Instagrammer once wrote that "fitspo in just thinspo in a sports bra." And in that moment I felt like I, as a healthy female athlete, wasn't "allowed" to be #bodypositive . That somehow my "leanness" disqualified me from participating in the conversation. And I think it's a damn shame that #fitfemales feel pushed out. Why? Because we ALL struggle at times. Even if it looks like we aren't. (Truuuuuuuust me)
Someone close to me once said "who are you to talk about body acceptance when You look how You look? You could never possibly understand!" And they were right. I can't fully understand *their* life experience. Just as they could never fully understand the pressures I feel about my body working in the fitness industry. Let's judge less and accept & empower more. 🙏🏼💕

I’ve recently gotten sooo into listening to podcasts. they are just such a good way to pass time in a productive way. i’ve become so obsessed i’m literally listening to them all day every day so i wanted to share a few of my favourites with you!
self made man: i know i’m not a man, but i LOVE this podcast. so many interesting topics and every time that i listen to one of them i’m like wow i’m about to take over the world. so so so much good info about life things i’m really addicted
the skinny confidential: i am so obsessed with this podcast. so many good topics surrounding all sorts of different areas and so funny as well. it’s good for both men and women, but i think geared a bit towards female topics. one of my absolute favourites i’ve binge listened the shit out of this podcast
optimal daily living: always really short, but so much useful info about how to improve your life. and sometimes it’s nice to have a short little motivation boost in under 10 minutes! quick and to the point, but so dang helpful
the bitch bible: this one is just so hilarious. she is so raw and unfiltered while talking about lots of important and relatable topics. i love her personality and think it’s so refreshing. i could listen to her talk for hours and hours (and i do!)
that’s just a few of the podcasts that i’ve been listening to lately. definitely check them out if you’ve been interested in podcasts and feel like you want some productive background noise for when you’re doing literaly anything. if you have any that you would recommend please let me know because it’s my new found obsession that i know won’t be stopping anytime soon 🎧
Winter bod in full swing 🤪 how lucky are we here in Queensland to still be able to get in our swimmers in winter?
There’s a few tips I have for keeping healthy during winter.
1: keek moving, even if it’s a walk. It’s so easy to choose the blankie over the movement.
2: eat crap loads of veggies, so many great ideas. I roast veggies, make dips & sauces out of veggies, even come up with ways to make cakes & balls all out of veggies:
3: every three months I do a cleanse. A great starting point in my entry level 2 week cleanse. It’s easy, fun, packed full of recipes & you can repeat over & over. Great Lil program. Message me for a link.
4: sunshine 🌞 the sun has so many benefits. Not just feel good ones, but also hormonal ones & gut health ones.
5: surround yourself with others who love to do all above.
6: oh and garlic, garlic for everything, I’d vote garlic for president if that were possible.
