Welcome to one of the goals I had last year, was to do a headstand. I accomplished it but I didn’t continue to practice it which lead me to lose the ability to do it. To be entirely honest, the last time I practiced doing a headstand was back in August 2017....almost A YEAR ago😱
When I went to Yoga On The Roof the other day, I tried doing a headstand with the help of our Yoga instructor, Jen, and I just couldn’t do it. When I saw the video of myself doing it, I honestly felt like crap cause I let go of something I was SO PROUD of learning to do. It just goes to show that if you let go of something you practice constantly, you can lose the ability to do it/not able to do it as good as you did before OR, in other words, you lose that talent!
Here’s my new found goal and what I’ll be posting here and there about: Headstands! So thank you for those who voted and supported me in posting more about my journey to get back into doing headstands (even though there was one that said no😂🤷🏼♀️)!

This one was •1 scoop vanilla casein protein
•3 Tbs powdered peanut butter
•a small amount of almond milk (slowly add in until it forms a cookie dough consistency)
Mix & Freeze for 30 minutes! Toooo easy 😛
I can't wait to mix this recipe up and add cacao, berries, chia seeds, and anything else that sounds good! -

"What would you do differently if you had 10x more confidence than you do now?" I really had to think about it when someone asked me this
Insecurities are more than just skin deep it effects the ways we act and can hold us back from being our authentic self
My answer? I would have the confidence to rock clothes I didn't have the confidence to, I would post my passion for fitness on my insta without making an account away from friends/family.
From that moment something in my head clicked.
I made the account 2 years ago scared to post my passion of fitness, but this is me... ❤ slowly becoming the most comfortable with myself that I've ever been

Knowing my body I don't genetically hold much fat in my arms or back so that should be the first place it leaves.
Abs and legs are a little more difficult but we'll get there 🙏
I'm not my leanest and I'm not my thickest. I can give a bunch of excuses how the priority of school has put my fitness on the back burner HOWEVER fitness is all about the journey and I'm using insta to keep myself accountable 💪 I've yet to have abs or a flat stomach but here's my new starting point

It's so easy to look at other people and lift them up and tell them how beautiful they are and to rock any outfit they want. But for yourself it's much easier said than done.
I'm at a point where I can be more comfortable with where I am physically and still focused on where I am going.
If I ever feel hypercritical of myself I remember that my body is amazing and just perfect! I have the ability to walk everyday, my body has taken me to dances, four years of marching band performances, and every sport imaginable including karate for over a decade!
Working in a hospital has made me appreciative of every privilege my body has that we shouldn't take for granted.

Got my circuit I promised you guys yesterday and it was fantastic! Got some inspiration from NikkiB. Start with 10 reps of each exercise NO REST then drop one rep each time until you get to 0 (10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1🔥) finished off with some ball slams and battle ropes as a burn out
No filters, no b.s... just me. Not the most fit I've ever been and certainly not the least. Lot of laughs, treats, and passing another block of nursing school got me here. Follow me for the next 8 weeks to see my progress in real time...let's go💪
This month is my one year fitness anniversary that I've managed to lose and keep off 20lbs. ...can I say I'm pretty DAMN proud of myself! A lot of people have been asking me what I've done and I've been thinking about posting more on my instagram about it. So here's the first of many more with my new respect for fitness.
