After you workout, you should take a few minutes to stretch the muscles you worked. This helps with recovery to decrease stiffness and soreness. Even Max took time to stretch after our run this morning! Be like Max!
~ Step so far outside your comfort zone that you forget how to get back.
We all get so comfy in our lives that we just accept it for how it is or what it's "supposed " to be, according to society.
We want to stay in a safety zone instead of venturing out for fear of the unknown. .
Hey, It's time, guys. Be brave enough to challenge your limits.
Each day you have a choice to either settle and live in your comfort zone. Or you can choose to be brave, step out and do something that will improve yourself and your life. The decision is yours ---- One Day. Or Day One?
What's one thing you've been wanting to try but haven't because you're afraid to fail or fear of being judged? Something to think about......
I am completely lost without you and honestly, I can hardly remember how I even survived before I had you as my constant companion. You teach me, you guide me, you make me laugh!
What was life even LIKE before our cell phones?
First of all, Where did the summer go?
My brain is fried.
So many big decisions being made in the Lamm house, it really does hurt my brain.
There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get it all done. Do you have any you arent using? 🤣
Its almost dinner time and i have been putting off some of my "non-negotiables" for myself today because my to do list keeps growing. Sophie just came in and said..."Mom, you need to get your workout done..you are crabby!" I tell you all the time, I am a better mom when i take care of myself...and Soph just confirmed it.
My to do list can wait 45 minutes...
Im getting it done for me...and also apparently for my kids! 😬
ha ha ha... #betterbabes#momlife#keepingit 💯

PLANNING IT OUT
Family, working, commuting, building my dreams, working out, prepping meals, doing errands and chores, carving out quality time with family and friends . . . the list goes on and on. 🆘
I've just started implementing the concepts in the book Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy. The book has me identify my biggest goals and the most essential tasks to achieve them.
I need to identify the big frogs that I must make sure I'm eating on a daily basis.
The idea is that if you eat the biggest, ugliest 🐸 early in the day, you'll have the satisfaction that you did the hardest thing already. It cuts down on procrastination and gets us to focus on action.
Follow along with me as I work on my monthly, weekly and daily planning. I'll say a bit about the concepts of time management as I go along.
Really, couldn't we all do better at prioritizing what's most important and taking action?
It's the only way we can make taking care of ourselves and keeping it all together a sustainable habit.
Sad to be leaving the beautiful Tricity already. I love so many things about it...the gorgeous sandy beaches, the lush forests, and so many fab places to eat and chill at. The walk along the beach from Gdynia to Sopot and back. The cycle route from Sopot to Gdansk. A walk along the Gdynia Bulwar. Seeing old friends and family. If the weather was better I would move back here in a heart beat! I think when you grow up somewhere, a bit of your heart always stays there 💕 If any of my friends are ever considering Poland as a holiday destination - GO, you will love it! And Gdynia is the best! Until next time, hopefully for longer....💕💕💕 #poland#happy#gdynia#gdyniamojemiasto#holiday#crossfitgirls#sopot#crossfit#girlswholift#beach#fitness#fitover40#fitafter40#instabeach#wakacje
I see the last month as priming me - I would even say making me hungry - for where I’m about to take my training next. And really once you have programmed in line with your goals it’s 80% about just sticking to it. Patiently.
This is from a month ago the last time I really deadlifted going for 6 sets of 10 @ 220.
