Day 31 it’s been so dry here in Austin that I now have little paper-like cuts on both my hands. I may need to acquire some serious moisturizing lotion. In other news, I was thinking about skipping the gym tomorrow but then caught a look at my naked belly. I know that going to the gym alone is really no help at all, but when I go I want to do and be better.

Don't mind me, just trying to stay consistent....🚨SHOULDERS & LEGS🚨......I love working Multiple muscles at once, it helps me stay mobile and agile. Just FYI, ain't nothing easy about what I do. This has taken years of dedication. I still got work to do & people to bring with me, but definitely on my way!! Not bad for a cat 40+ years old.
How to Be Successful with New Year’s Resolutions...
[They’re only 3 weeks away after all!]
1️⃣: Decide you truly want to change something! Until this happens, no resolution will matter.
2️⃣: Make what you want to change a focus every day. It doesn’t matter what it is. Foods, drinks, exercise, kindness, gratitude, generosity, etc. Find some way to incorporate that change into each day.
3️⃣: Find your “why” - if you don’t have a good motivating reason to change, it will be easy to give up when you don’t feel like it.
4️⃣: Get an accountability buddy. 👥 Having someone else on board will encourage you to stay on track when you may not feel like continuing with the positive behavior change!
5️⃣: Focus on small steps and celebrate those successes! Success yields more success!
6️⃣: Keep on keeping on! Go back to your why on days you struggle! Remind yourself it is worth the effort and stick with it!

If you would have asked me a year ago how uncomfortable I was willing to be....
I probably would have asked "why do I have to be uncomfortable? I want to enjoy myself." WOW!! What a different #perspective I have now 👀🔭
Getting uncomfortable doesn't mean you can't enjoy what you are doing. It doesn't mean you won't be happy. It means you push yourself. It means you learn about yourself. It means you treat yourself! Treat yourself? Am I crazy??
You bet!! Pushing yourself beyond what you think is possible will allow you to grow and realize your potential. When you realize how strong you really are, great things start to happen. Both physically & mentally. Your mindset changes. Your mood is happy. Your attitude is positive. You have energy that lasts all day. You physique is improved and you stand a little taller with pride. You realize what you thought was impossible wasn't all that difficult after all. And you start achieving all of your goals!!
I know all of this because I was there.....and now I am here! I decided to get uncomfortable and BIG changes have happened for me. I'm looking for 10 ladies (or men) to get uncomfortable with me and my new little step!! We will be working 20 minutes a day, 6 days a week, for 6 weeks!

I learned to meditate a long time ago and my therapist helped me to perfect my meditation’s technique. It’s amazing to help with my anxiety. In the picture, it’s the hand form I use. I like to meditate in the evening when everybody is sleeping. If you have extreme anxiety, you need to learn this. Also you need to watch your breathing during your your workouts constantly. Working out and weights will help you reduce the amount of anxiety. Working out every day is much better than taking pills and have no bad side effects.

Change is hard. Especially when you know what you want and why. Change requires you to make sacrifices. Achieving your goals requires sacrifice. This is my present situation. I know my fitness is important to my mental wellbeing as well as my physical. I have a big goal I am currently working towards and it means sacrificing my morning workouts at 5 AM with the #fab5 and all of the other beasts who prefer to get it done before the sun is up! I continue to repeat to myself this is a temporary sacrifice for long term gains. When it comes to pass the sacrifice will be worth it.
Kick Arse workout 🏋️♀️ 5 stations, timed Dropset, complete Dropset then move to the next exercise

Push past the I can’t and tell yourself YES YOU CAN!
Do you ever pause just to feel the inhale and the exhale? Pause and really be in the experience of your breath? Feel the air moving though your body like a wave? Feel your lungs filling with fresh oxygen, new energy and life? And then the release and surrender than can happen as you exhale.
It’s really a magical thing to get present with your breath. Even if it’s only a few moments a day. I encourage you to bring some stillness into your life, especially this time of year, but everyday. Just make it part of your daily routine, friend. You might be surprised to see how things begin to shift and change. Even your own perspective, your thoughts, your responses and emotions. Your stress and anxiety. You’ll feel more joy, more playful. You’ll feel more aligned, grounded and present. Try it. Just sit for 1 minute and take some deep belly breaths, hold for a second at the top and exhale evenly to release. Nice and slow. Not rushed. Build up to 2 minutes, 5 minutes or whatever works for you.
Type below “today I will pause and breathe.” Make it real. It may feel a bit awkward at first, but don’t judge yourself. Just move through it. It will become more and more comfortable and natural with practice. We all start where we are, right?! Start with your breath. Inhale. Exhale. Start there.

Today we are twisting and I choose this #Parivrtta#JanuSirsasana variant I saw recently flying around on IG.
It is and changes completely having the knee up, and not folded resting on the floor as it most practiced.
Having it up creates more resistance and it makes the twist, deeper.
I loved it!!!
And this asana goes as a Xmas gift to my mother!
We are completely different, as water and wine... but we have this very strong bond.
We have arguments and few minutes later, it is all forgotten.
I look after her since my Dad’s passed away and she, in a way, like all mothers do, always looked after me.

The biggest challenge is to keep making the love growing when you see differences... when you see a ground that you can’t put yourself in.

There is a legend that says we choose our parents, that our little souls choose where we are going to be born from.
