Aren't crepes a kids' favourite? You bet they are. I talk about pleasure of eating all the time and I also often mention how our anglo saxon culture is very focused on outcomes as we eat. So on my mind today: a fun afternoon which these two gorgeous girls and their parents, we have fresh blackberries from the market, some home made raspberry jam and some whipped cream for a bit of indulgence! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀❤️
My crepes recipe:
Eggs: 3 large
Butter: 20g melted
Sugar: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 pinch
Peanut oil for cooking.
🍳You will need paper towel, a non stick pan, a spatula.🍳 ✅ Combine flour, sugar, salt and eggs to a smooth batter, adding milk as you need. ✅Add butter, mix well.
✅Rest for 1/2h.
🍳Heat the pan and grease with a bit of oil using paper towel to even up.
🍳When the pan is hot pour a small laddle of the mix, making sure that you cover the pan evenly. Only add more mix if you have not got enough coverage of the pan.
🍳By now you know how much mix you need in each laddle, you obviously want to keep the crepes as thin as possible.
🍳Stack the crepes on a plate! .
