Lesson 11: Always make time for warming up and cooling down. A mistake I make quite often, suffering massively the next day, especially after ‘leg day’ 😣
Sometimes I reeeeally don’t feel like going to the gym, but I always feel a million dollars afterwards. Venting frustrations of the day, or the troubles in your life. I don’t ever remember a time when exercise wasn’t in my life, but I make more time for it now I’m older. I want to do the best for my body and I want to be able to enjoy the gin, wine, cake, cheese that I eat.
So, make time for exercise, it will always go in your favour 👊🏼💪🏼 My workout today (I am in no way an expert, lots of classes and help from others improves my knowledge on what does what): 0.8 mile run to the gym
3 sets 10 squats - no weight
Dynamic stretches to warm up the hips
3 sets 10 weighted walking lunges
3 sets 10 weighted squats
5 sets 10 Romanian deadlifts (increasing weight each set)
2 sets on each leg - single leg deadlifts
10 minutes cool down on the bike
5 minutes of abs (always had enough by this point)
Stretching and foam rolling
